Warranty
All COMSTAR headsets are warranted against defects in material and/or factory workmanship for a
period of one year from the date of purchase. Shipping is to Eartec at customer’s expense, Eartec will
pay for return ground shipping if the product warranty applies to the repair.

All repair work will be performed for the cost of replacement parts and return shipping from the

1. To prevent possible hearing damage, do not listen at high volume levels for long periods.
2. Risk of explosion if battery is replaced by an incorrect type, dispose of battery according to the
instruction.
3. Recycle your products
The WEEE logo (shown at right) appears on the product to indicate that this product must not be disposed
of or dumped with your other household wastes. You are liable to dispose of all your electronic or electrical
waste equipment by transporting to an appropriate collection point for recycling of such hazardous waste.

BATTERY CHARGING
FCC Notice
This device complies with Part 15 of FCC rules. Operation is subject to the following 2 conditions: (1) This device may not
cause harmful interference, and (2) This device must accept any interference received, including interference that may cause
undesired operation. Changes or modifications not expressly approved by the party responsible for compliance could void the
user’s authority to operate the equipment.
1) Plug AC adapter into charging base and wall outlet (note: the system includes two
AC adapters, one for charger, one for Com-Center; they are NOT interchangeable).
2) Snap batteries into charging slot securely.
3) Charge time 2 – 4 hours. GREEN: fully charged; RED: charging; Flashing RED: faulty
battery; NO LIGHT: battery improperly inserted.
4) COMSTAR high capacity lithium batteries
provide up to 10 hours of operation.
5) Lithium batteries do not develop a
memory - do not drain after use.
Charge up to 2 Com-Center batteries and up to 8 headset batteries.

Operation
Microphone Placement
Cyber headsets include a special noise cancelling
microphone. For optimum performance place directly in
front of, and appx. 1/4 “ from mouth.
Com-Center Placement
Line of sight: for optimum range, position Com-Center so
that the radio signals have a clear path to the wireless
headsets.
Storage
Lithium batteries should be at least partially charged when
stored for long periods.
COM-CENTER START
IMPORTANT! LINE OF SIGHT:

1) Attach AC power cord to the Com-Center, then plug into the nearest wall outlet.
2) If a wall outlet is not available insert rechargeable battery into slot at back of
Com-Center
(silver contacts must be in proper position).
3) OR use five brand name AA batteries in battery sled (provided).
4) Turn Com-Center ON (switch on back panel).
5) DUAL CHANNEL FEATURE: Red and green
LED lights indicate two separate channels are in
use. Amber LED light indicates conference
feature is in use.
Switch connects both
channels, linking all headsets.
Compartment on unit bottom houses switches for factory programming. Call EARTEC Co. for more information.
BLUE LED INDICATIONS
1) Flashing blue LED on headset indicates automatic tuning to Com-Center signal.
2) When the Com-Center is ON the headset LED will change to solid blue – ready for
communication.
VOLUME
Volume control buttons adjust to any of five settings.
MIC Mute – Grey Button
Click the Mic button to mute the microphone – audible tone confirms change.
Repetitive beep indicates low battery.

1) Insert battery into headset.
Headset will automatically turn ON.

After the battery is installed, the power button is used to turn the headset ON and
