The Hoof is loosely based on the classic green Russian fuzz circuit and features
a hybrid Germanium / Silicon design, pairing maximum tone with maximum
temperature stability not found in nicky and expensive vintage units. We
hand-match our NOS Germanium transistors to exacting specications for
pedal-to-pedal consistency, taking the guesswork out of your fuzz purchase,
and guaranteeing that your Hoof delivers the same smooth, natural, and
harmonically rich sustain as all your friends’ Hoofs. All your friends have Hoof
fuzzes, right?
The Hoof has a wide gain range, providing everything from dirty and organic
amp-like overdrive, to monstrous fuzz madness. This, paired with the Shift
control allows you total tonal access, as the “Shift” knob works with the Tone
control to alter the overall frequency response of the Hoof.
Use the Shift to boost the highs for a glassy, cutting top-end; use it to cut
out some low-mid mud. Use it to add some thick stoner rock sludge. Use it
on bass; use it to combat the muff-style fuzz’s notorious “mid scoop.” Use it
however you’d like; just use it! The Hoof’s distinctive, fuzzy character is tight
and controlled without sacricing any “guts,” so to speak, so even the gnarliest
fuzz tones will sit well in the mix.
The Hoof fuzz is all-analog, true bypass, and built one-at-a-time by real life
human beans with four ngers and a thumb waiting in line for the horsey rides

Power
This device takes a standard 9 volt DC power supply with a 2.1mm negative
center barrel. We always recommend pedal-specic, transformer-isolated wall-
wart power supplies or multiple isolated-output supplies. Pedals will make extra
noise if there is ripple or unclean power. Switching-type power supplies, daisy
chains and non-pedal specic power supplies do not lter dirty power as well
and let through unwanted noise. DO NOT RUN AT HIGHER VOLTAGES!

Daisychains und nicht auf Pedale ausgelegte Netzteile ltern verschmutzten Strom

Il pedale Hoof si basa vagamente sul circuito fuzz in stile Muff del classico Green

Procediamo abbinando i nostri transistor NOS al germanio a speciche stringenti

Hoof possiede una gamma di guadagno molto ampia, capace di fornire ogni tipo

ottenere una parte alta trasparente e aflata; per tagliare la sonorità indistinta
e confusa delle parte medio-bassa, per conferire un carattere rock di maggior
spessore e intensità, per congurare Hoof ad essere utilizzato con il basso,
oppure per contrastare il noto fenomeno “mid scoop” degli effetti fuzz.
Il carattere fuzzy che distingue il pedale Hoof è preciso e controllato, per cui anche
le timbriche fuzz più intense in termini di guadagno sapranno inserirsi al meglio
nel mix.
Controlli
Fuzz: Effetto più pesante ruotando in senso orario, più leggero in senso antiorario.
Tone: Bassi in senso antiorario, alti in senso orario.
Level: Controlla il livello di uscita.
Shift: Regola il contenuto delle frequenze medie. In senso orario per le classiche
frequenze medie scavate, in senso antiorario per frequenze medie dalla sonorità
moderna.
Alimentazione
I nostri pedali fanno uso di alimentatori DC standard a 9 volt, dotati di connettore
barrel da 2.1mm con polo negativo al centro. Raccomandiamo sempre l’uso di
alimentatori specici per pedali, con trasformatore isolato di tipo da parete, oppure
alimentatori con uscite multiple isolate. I pedali generano rumore extra nel caso in
cui l’alimentazione presenti un’oscillazione residua o sia poco pulita. Gli alimentatori
di tipo switching, quelli per il collegamento a catena oppure gli alimentatori non
specici per pedali, non ltrano l’alimentazione non pulita e lasciano passare
rumori indesiderati. NON OPERARE MAI CON TENSIONI PIÙ ELEVATE!

NOS pour que chaque pédale sonne de façon similaire et ne rien laisser

sustain uide, naturel et riche en harmoniques que les autres Hoof. Vous avez
déjà entendu d’autre Hoof, n’est-ce pas ?
La Hoof possède une large plage de gain, pour produire toutes les nuances
sonores situées entre l’overdrive façon ampli et la fuzz monstrueuse. Ajoutez
à cela, le réglage Shift qui vous permet d’accéder à la totalité du son proposé
par le réglage Tone en altérant la réponse en fréquences globale de la Hoof.
Utilisez Shift pour booster les aigus et obtenir un son cristallin et tranchant;
utilisez-le pour rendre vos médiums plus clairs, ou pour ajouter une touche
de stoner sludge épais; utilisez-le sur les graves pour un son de « Muff »
aux médiums creusés. Utilisez-le comme vous le voulez. L’important est de

Réglages
Fuzz : « Heavy » dans le sens horaire, léger dans le sens antihoraire.
Tone : Plus de graves vers la gauche, plus d’aigus vers la droite.
Level : Utilisez ce réglage pour faire sonner la Cloven Hoof plus ou moins fort.
Shift : Permet d’ajuster la teneur en médiums. Creusés dans le sens horaire,
accentués dans le sens antihoraire.
Alimentation
Cette pédale fonctionne avec une alimentation standard 9 V CC avec che
d’alimentation 2,1 mm (centre négatif). Nous recommandons toujours
l’utilisation d’adaptateurs secteur isolés ou d’alimentations multiples isolées.
Les pédales produiront d’avantage de bruit en cas d’ondulation de courant
ou de parasites. Les alimentations à switch, les alimentations en série et
les adaptateurs non-conçus pour des pédales ne sont pas à même de ltrer
le courant et laisseront passer des bruits non désirés. NE FAITES PAS

El Hoof está basado en parte en el clásico circuito de fuzz de tipo muff ruso y
dispone de un diseño híbrido de germanio / silicio, lo que hace que disponga

v tisícovce pedlaboardů po celém světě, ve kterých to „rozpálila“ na bezpočtu
pódií od smradlavých předměstských klubů, až po Madison Square Garden.
Hoof volně navazuje na klasický „zelený ruský fuzz“. Pracuje s hybridní
germaniovou/silikonovou konstrukcí obvodů, přičemž spojuje schopnosti
vytvoření „maximálního“ zvuku a udržení maximální teplotní stability, kterou
byste u drahých vintage pedálů hledali jen těžko. Při stavbě každého pedálu
Hoof jsme ručně vybírali germaniové tranzistory ze starých vojenských zásob
– a to tak, aby jejich specikace vedla ke konzistentnímu projevu efektu, tj.
aby každý kus dodával hráči jemný, přirozený a harmonicky bohatý zvuk s
mimořádným sustainem. Zkrátka, aby zvuk tvýho „Hoofu“ byl stejný, jako zvuk

charakter fuzz efektu Hoof je pevný a není na úkor zvukové kvality. To znamená,
že i ten nejdivnější fuzz bude dobře sedět v mixu ostatních nástrojů.
Hoof je plně analogový a pracuje s režimem true bypass. Vyráběn je
skutečnými lidskými červy se čtyřmi prsty a jedním palcem, kteří v zábavném
parku v Akronu (v ociálním středu vesmíru), v americkém Ohiu, čekají ve
frontě na svezení na hřbetu poníka.
Ovládání
Fuzz: Otáčením doprava vyšší zkreslení, otáčením doleva jemné zkreslení.
Tone: Vlevo výraznější basy, vpravo výraznější výšky.
Level: Nastavení výstupní úrovně – hlasitější nebo tišší.
