Connecting Hand-held Hedge Trimmer or Pole HedgeTrimmer
1. Pushthe releaselatchbackwards locatedon the
top of the trigger housingand slidethe housing
downwards.
2. Connectthe trigger housingwith the telescope
pole
or directlywith the motorhousing.The release
latchshould snap inand lock bothparts securely
together.

Pivotingthe PowerHead
The Pole HedaeTrimmer iseauipped with a power
headthat pivois. The power heab'hasa spring-loaded
buttonthat allows itto be lockedinto six positions
within its
150 -degree rotation.Beforeconnectingthe

clockwiseto secure.
STARTINGTHETRIMMER
TheTrigger housing has a iock-off buttonlocated
at the leftside handle.This safety feature locksthe
trigger inthe OFF position, preventingaccidental
starting of the PoleTrimmer.
Pushthe lock-off button
(1) in with your thumband
then squeezethe switchtrigger
(2) withyour
fingers. (Oncethe tool is running,you can release
the lock- off button.)Toturn thetool OFF, release
the trigger.

retainer.Forma loop in extension cord and push
the loop through the hole in the rear handle.
Positionthe loopover the cord retainerand pull
backto secure. Connect powercord of unit to
extension cord.
2. WORKING POSiTION- Maintain proper footing and
balance and do notoverreach. Wear safety goggles.

USINGTHE POLE HEDGETRIMMER
To usethe Pole HedgeTrimmer for trimming tall,
hard-to-reach hedges or shrubs, holdthe Trimmerat
the positions shown. Pivotthe powerheadto several
differentpositionsto shape or sculpt shrubs or hedges.

To usethe PoleTrimmerfor trimming smaller
hedgesor shrubs, hold the PoleTrimmer at the

at the positionas shown. DonotforcetheTrimmer throughdense growth.
A siightbackandforth sawing action may ease
tha cuttingof iarger, moredanse growth. ifthe
Trimmer beginsto slow down, reducethe rateof
speed at which you are tryingto cut. Ifthe
Trimmer becomesjammed, immediatelyturn
Trimmeroff. DisconnectTrimmerfromthe power
supply and removethejammed debrisfrom the
cutter blades.
Do nottry to cut branches largerthan
314 inch in
diameter.
