GETTING STARTED
The M30 is a condenser microphone with active
electronics. This meansm
` Its output level will be naturally higher than many of
the dynamic microphones that it may be replacing.
It is not uncommon to need to reduce gain if you
were previously using a dynamic microphone.s
` You will need to engage phantom power on your
interface or preamp. Pro Tip: It's always a good idea
to plug in a condenser microphone while phantom
power is off and the channel is muted. After
engaging phantom power, give the microphone a
short time to settle before unmuting.

cannot be opened.

to capture the highest freque cies of your sou d.
Please be ge tle a d co siderate whe ha dli g the
micropho es with these tips. (Micropho es such as the
SR314 a d SR40V shield the tip withi their capsule,
a d are thus more durable.)
The M30 meets or exceeds ANSI Type 1 requireme ts.
The micropho e is calibrated at the factory at 1 kHz
(i depe de t of a y freque cy weighti g).
Earthworks recomme ds re-calibratio every ve (5)
years.
