The CR58 two-way, passive, full range inema surround loudspeaker
system is engineered to reprodu e today’s stereo full bandwidth
digital surround tra ks from wall mounted positions high above the
audien e. It features a 15-in woofer and a 1-in exit ompression
driver loaded with a wide dispersion onstant dire tivity horn.
The CR58 is spe ifi ally engineered to over a larger seating area
with higher quality, higher output sound than traditional inema
surrounds. With 500 Watts AES standard power handling and a
90°x70° overage pattern, it an be mounted higher and over
more seats than traditional surrounds. Higher pla ement lets the
systems over a larger area “a ross” the room reating a larger area
of stereo surround overage than traditional surround pla ement.
The system produ es 8 - 15 dB more output than traditional
surrounds.
The front baffle is angled down 20° to a ommodate overhead
mounting. The optimally vented en losure in reases LF response
while limiting driver ex ursion. This method produ es less distor-
tion and minimizes driver strain while extending LF response to the
lowest o taves.
Six threaded mounting points on top of the en losure allow the
system to be “dead hung” at a variety of verti al and horizontal
angles. Two mounting points (at the enter of gravity on ea h side)
a ept an adjustable wall mount bra ket. Two additional mounting
points (one at the upper rear orner of ea h side) provide additional
mounting flexibility. A single mounting point on the bottom
a epts an L-bra ket.
The passive rossover/filter network in luded in the CR58 is so
omplex that it goes beyond merely dividing the signal and a tu-
ally performs riti al equalization fun tions. This means it will
provide more detailed, more natural reprodu tion of any soni event
o urring in the 360° aural arena.
The input onne tor - a 2-terminal barrier strip that a ommodates
bare wire, tinned leads or spade lugs - is lo ated on top of the
en losure. The en losure features a textured bla k finish to elimi-
nate visual intrusion of visible surrounds. For safety, the loth grille
is atta hed with multiple threaded fasteners.

The CR58 two-way, full range inema surround loudspeaker system
employs one 15-in one transdu er mounted in an optimally vented
en losure and one 1-in exit, titanium diaphragm ompression driver
mounted to a 90°x70° dispersion pattern onstant dire tivity horn.
The LF and HF se tions are integrated with a omplex, multi ompo-
nent, passive rossover/filter network.
The en losure is onstru ted of 3/4-in thi kness Medium Density
Fiberboard (MDF). Extensive internal bra ing is employed to mini-
mize panel resonan es resulting from the large a ousti al energies
generated within the en losure while maximizing a ousti al energy
transfer into the audien e area. A total of eleven 3/8”-16 threaded
mounting points fa ilitate a wide variety of mounting option.
The input onne tor, lo ated on the top of the en losure, is a two-
-terminal barrier strip designed to a ommodate bare wire, tinned
leads or spade lugs. For safety, the grille is atta hed with multiple
threaded fasteners.
All external omponents feature a textured, non-refle tive, bla k
finish.
