LOW FREQUENCY DRIVER
The LF-380-SB 15 inch bass driver is
designed specifically for reproducing extended
response signals with tow distortion and high
output. The cone is polylaminated paper for
maximum rigidity to minimize bellmode
resonances and harmonic distortion. The
massive high coercivity ceramic magnet circut
produces 12,000 gauss in the gap. The
LF-380-SB is mounted in a 5.5 cu. ft. enclosure
with a vent determined by the latest
developments in box synthesis techniques. This
combination provides excellent transient
response, amplitude accuracy and low distortion
even at high output low Frequency signals.
MIDRANGE COMPONENTS
The CD-40-25 compression driver features
high flux density (16,000 gauss) to maximize
piston control ensuring excellent transient
recovery and smooth response.
The driver is mounted on a cast conical horn
terminated into an acoustic lens assembly to
provide constant wide horizontal dispersion. The
resulting performance is exemplified by
outstanding vocal definition and smooth honk
free sound.
ENCLOSURE
The enclosure is made of structured
material with internal bracing and acoustic
damping material resulting in a resonance free
cabinet. The front baffle is engineered to
prevent re-rated high frequency information
from forming interference signals enabling much
smoother response than competitive systems.
To accomplish this all. drivers are routed into
the baffle for a flush fit and specially developed
foam is applied to all exposed baffle surfaces;
even the grill frame is designed to prevent high
frequency information from being reflected onto
the baffle.
System Features
Exceptionally Uniform Response
from 34 to 22,000 Hz 3 dB
High Acoustic Output: 120 dB @ 1 m Phase
Compensated Maximally flat third order 18
dB per octave crossover
Rigidly constructed enclosure provides
optimum venting for bass driver
Specially engineered baffle to eliminate
interference due to re-radiated high frequency
energy.
The MS-200 is a precision refinement of the
classic three way studio monitor. It
incorporates specially developed damping
techniques that enable lower distortion than
previous designs. Additionally the applications
of third order crossover filters and space
age-thermal driver design enable higher
long-term power handling than
currently available studio monitors. These
improvements enable the MS-200 to handle the
high output requirements of modern studio
control room applications with unsurpassed
accuracy and definition. The unique combination
of high efficiency 150 watts RMS input power
handing capacity, accurate amplitude and low
distortion eliminates the previous conflict
between clarity and loudness.
VHF DRIVER
The CD-16-38 ultra high frequency driver
extends the response of the system well beyond
the limits of human hearing providing
reproduction of he full harmonic contents of
music. The CD-19-38 has an intergal conical
horn to provide constant dispersion. Due to the
precisioned delicateness of the voice
coil/diaphram assembly an internal zener
protection network is provided to protect from
overpowered conditions.
