1 Beschreibung
Das Interface EBI-AE-S dient zum Pro-
grammieren und Auslesen von Datenlog-
gern der Serie 85A/125A.
2 Installation
2.1 Interface
Stellen Sie die Verbindung von der
Netzanschlussdose an der Vorderseite
zum Stromnetz her. Verwenden Sie dazu
das mitgelieferte Netzgerät.
Verbinden Sie mit einem Schnittstellen-
kabel die „RS 232-Buchse“ oder die
„USB-Buchse“ mit der entsprechenden
Schnittstelle Ihres PC’s.
Legen Sie den Logger in die dafür vorge-
sehene Halterung ein.

1 Description
The EBI-AE-S interface is used for
programming and reading of data
loggers of the 85A/125A series.
2 Installation
2.1 Interface
Establish a connection from the mains
connection socket on the front side for
the power supply circuit. Use the power
supply unit provided for the same.
Connect the “RS 232-Socket“or the
“USB-Socket“with the corresponding
interface of your PC with an interface
cable.
Insert the logger into the designated
mounting holder.

1 Description
L’interface EBI-AE-S sert à la
programmation et à la lecture des
données recueillies par les enregistreurs
de données de la série 85A/125A.
2 Installation
2.1 Interface
Connectez la prise de courant située sur
la face avant de l’appareil au secteur.
Pour cela, utilisez le bloc d’alimentation
fourni.
À l’aide d’un câble d’interface,
connectez le port « RS232 » ou le port
« USB » au port correspondant de votre
PC.
Placez l’enregistreur dans le logement
prévu à cet effet.

1. Nach dem Starten des Rechners,
wird das USB-Kabel an einen USB-
Port angeschlossen. Windows er-
kennt ein neues Gerät und startet den
Installationsassistenten. Um fortzu-
fahren klicken Sie auf „Weiter“.
2. Eine Dialogbox öffnet sich. Markie-
ren Sie den Menüpunkt „Nach einem
passenden Treiber für das Gerät
suchen“. Klicken Sie daraufhin auf
„Weiter“.
3. Legen Sie die beiliegende CD-ROM
in ein CD-ROM-Laufwerk ein und
wählen in der neu geöffneten Dialog-
box den Menüpunkt „CD-ROM-
Laufwerk“und klicken Sie auf
„Weiter“.
4. Wählen Sie das auf der CD befindli-
che Verzeichnis „USB“ und bestäti-
gen Sie mit „OK“.
5. Das Verzeichnis wird durchsucht und
der korrekte Treiber wird automatisch
ausgewählt. Klicken Sie auf „Wei-
ter“. Die Treiber werden nun auf die
Festplatte kopiert.
6. Nachdem der Treiber erfolgreich ko-
piert wurde, erscheint eine Dialog-
box, welche die erfolgreiche
Installation bestätigt. Klicken Sie auf
„Fertig stellen“. Die Installations-
routine wird beendet. Der USB-
Anschluss ist jetzt betriebsbereit.

2.2 USB-Driver
1. The USB-Cable is connected to the
USB-Port after the computer has
started. Windows detects a new
device and launches the installation
wizard. To continue, click
“Continue“.
2. A dialogue box appears. Select the
menu item “Search for a suitable
driver for the device“.
Subsequently click “Continue“.
3. Insert the accompanying CD-ROM
into a CD-ROM-Drive and select the
menu item “CD-ROM-Drive“ in the
newly opened dialogue box and
then click “Continue“.
4. Select the “USB” folder present on
the CD and confirm with “OK“.
5. The system searches through the
folder and an appropriate driver is
selected automatically. Subse-
quently click “Continue“. Now, the
drivers are copied onto the hard
disc.
6. Once the driver is copied
successfully, a dialogue box
confirming successful installation
appears. Click “Finish“. The
installation wizard is closed. Now,
the USB-Connection is ready-to-
use.
2.2 Pilotes USB
1. Après le démarrage de l’ordinateur,
le câble USB est connecté à un port
USB. Windows détecte un nouvel
appareil et démarre l’assistant
d’installation. Pour continuer,
cliquez sur « Suivant ».
2. Une boîte de dialogue s’ouvre.
Cochez la ligne « Rechercher le
meilleur pilote dans ces
emplacements » puis cliquez sur
« Suivant ».
3. Insérez le CD-ROM fourni dans un
lecteur de CD-ROM puis, dans la
nouvelle boîte de dialogue qui
s’affiche, cliquez sur « Lecteur de
CD-ROM » puis « Suivant ».
4. Sélectionnez le répertoire « USB »
présent sur le CD-ROM et validez
par « OK ».
5. Le programme parcourt ce
répertoire et sélectionne
automatiquement le bon pilote.
Cliquez sur « Suivant ». Le pilote est
alors copié sur votre disque dur.
6. Quand le pilote a été copié avec
succès, une boîte de dialogue vous
confirme que l’installation est
réussie. Cliquez sur « Terminer ».
Le programme d’installation se
termine et la connexion USB est
active.

2.3 Hinweis
Bei der Verwendung der Software
WINLOG 2000 ist darauf zu achten, dass
ausschließlich COM1 bis COM4 verwen-
det werden kann. Ob dies der Fall ist,
können Sie unter Einstellungen/
Systemsteuerung/System/Hardware/
Gerätemanager kontrollieren.
Belegt der USB-to-Serial-COM-Port
COM5 oder höher, so kann dies geän-
dert werden, indem Sie mit der linken
Maustaste auf den Eintrag „ebro USB-
to-Serial COM Port“doppelklicken. Es
erscheint die zugehörige Eigenschaften-
Dialogbox. Wählen Sie auf der Karteikar-
te „Anschlusseinstellungen“die Opti-
on „Erweitert“.
Hier lässt sich der COM-Port unter
„COM-Anschlussnummer“ ändern. Der
gewünschte COM-Port kann nun ausge-
wählt werden, sofern er noch nicht von
anderen Geräten belegt ist. Mit „OK“
werden die neuen Einstellungen über-
nommen.
Ausführliche Anweisungen zur Installati-
on finden Sie auf der beiliegenden CD im
Verzeichnis „USB“.

2.3 Conseil
Pour l’utilisation du logiciel WINLOG
2000, il faut noter que seuls les ports
COM1 à COM4 peuvent être utilisés.
Vous pouvez vérifier le port utilisé dans
Panneau de configuration/Système/
Matériel/Gestionnaire de
périphériques.
Si le port COM USB-to-Serial est affecté
à COM5 ou plus, il est possible de le
modifier en double-cliquant du bouton
gauche de la souris sur la ligne « Port
COM ebro USB-to-Serial ». La boîte de
dialogue correspondante apparaît : dans
l’onglet « Paramètres de connexion »,
cliquez sur « Élargi ».
Il est possible de modifier ici le port COM
par « Numéro de port COM ». Le port
COM voulu peut maintenant être
sélectionné s’il n’est pas déjà occupé
par d’autres périphériques. Cliquez sur
« OK » pour valider les nouveaux
paramètres.
Vous trouverez des instructions
détaillées sur l’installation dans le
répertoire « USB » du CD-ROM.
2.3 Note
Please remember while using the
WINLOG 2000 software that COM1 to
COM4 can be exclusively used. You can
verify this under Settings/System
control/System/Hardware/Device
manager.
If the USB-to-Serial-COM-Port occupies
COM5 or higher, then it can be changed
by double-clicking on the entry “ebro
USB-to-Serial COM Port“ with the left
mouse key. The adjoining properties
dialogue box appears. Select the option
“Extended” on the “Connection
settings“ tab page.
Here, the COM-Port can be changed
under “COM-Connection number“.
The desired COM-Port can now be
selected if it has not already been
occupied by other devices. New
settings are accepted with “OK“.
You will find detailed installation
instructions in the “USB” folder on the
enclosed CD.

3 Verwenden des Netz-
gerätes
Achten Sie darauf, dass keine
Flüssigkeiten in das Innere des
Netzteils gelangen. Gefahr des
elektrischen Stromschlags!
Das Netzgerät wird mit verschiedenen
Steckereinsätzen ausgeliefert. Verwen-
den Sie den Stecker, der für Ihre Steck-
dose geeignet ist. Wechseln Sie
gegebenenfalls den Steckereinsatz:
• Trennen Sie das Netzgerät (1) von der
Stromversorgung.
• Schieben Sie den Steckereinsatz (2)
nach oben heraus.
• Setzen Sie den gewünschten Einsatz
ein.

Le bloc d’alimentation est livré avec
différents types de broches. Utilisez la
prise adaptée à votre installation
électrique. Si nécessaire, remplacez les
broches de la prise :
• Débranchez le bloc d’alimentation
(1) du secteur.
• Poussez sur les broches
interchangeables (2) pour les faire
sortir par le haut.
• Mettez les broches adaptées à votre
installation en place.

different plug inserts. Use the plug
suitable for your socket. Change the
plug insert, if necessary:
• Disconnect the power supply unit (1)
from the power supply.
• Push the plug insert (2) upwards.
• Use the desired insert.
