3. Commissioning / easy cleaner 1 & 2
easy cleaner 1 – Fixing of hose brackets and hoses
Turn off the 2 knurled screws at the rear right and left side of the
housing.
Insert the hose brackets on the right and left through the lateral holes
and attach the hose brackets on the corresponding threads. Then screw
the 2 knurled screws on the thread and tighten them firmly – the hose
brackets are now installed and fastened

Insert the end of the hoses from front towards the rear through the hose
brackets (holders) and insert the end of the hoses in the corresponding
holders on the device.The red one on the left side and the blue one on
the right of the device, seen from behind.

Insert the plug of the power supply unit at the rear side of easycleaner 1
and plug the power supply unit in the socket. The green LED (power)
lights up on the front panel, once this is done.
The storage box with the suction needles (attachments) is equipped with
a double-sided tape on the floor and can be fastened anywhere on the
device. Please do not glue it on the top of easy cleaner 1 since easy
cleaner 2 will possibly be mounted there. If you have ordered easy
cleaner 1 you will have to proceed to point 5 (point 6 is then not relevant
for you- this point refers to easy cleaner 2)
TIP: If the hoses are too long you can cut them to the desired length.

If easy cleaner 1 & 2 are operated simultaneously the black cable and
the yellow hose have to be inserted in both devices. The drying cup can
be placed on the rubber pad. Thus easy cleaner 1 & 2 are ready for
operation.
By means of the orange button START/PROGRAMME/STOP on the
front side the the corresponding function can be chosen.

4. Delivery / Transportation Regulations / Setup Instructions
The easy cleaner is delivered with a plug power supply unit 12 V DC and
input voltage 110 V- 240 –60/50 Hz 0,25 A, output 12 V DC 100 mA 12
VA. The ambient temperature must be at –5° up to a maximum of + 40°C
, easy cleaner is only allowed for indoor use and installed electrical
elements must be protected against direct moisture. Please note that
easy cleaner 1 & 2 should be located in a special ventialted room.

bottle once because of an eventual overpressure), spare filters, power

5. Cleaning of earpiece and microphone of hearing aids
We recommend to remove filter systems and hooks before cleaning and
drying the hearing systems.
Use hoses for suction and blowing (red suction and blue blowing).
Choose the suitable attachment from the included cleaning attachments,
most fitting to the diamenter of the opening of the microphone, resp.
opening of the earpiece and insert its attachment in the handpiece of
the red vacuum hose (suction needles, attachments are included in the
storage box). Switch on the device- push the orange middle button
START – function suction is started. The chosen function suction is
displayed by the LED (blue) at the front below on the device. The green
LED (vacuum) lights up and the vacuum of 0,8 bar generated. If the red
LED lights up and the green one is off optimum vacuum is no longer
produced. This may have various causes. The earwax filter is full of
extracted cerumen, earwax is in the red hose or in the suction needle.
These parts will then have to be cleaned. If you press the button STOP
for more than 3 seconds, the device switches off- If the device is not
switched off by means of the button it switches off automatically after 15
minutes. The blue LED turns off.

Slowly move the cleaning attachment about 5 –6 times back and forth
and clean it by means of compressed air. In case of extreme residues it
can help to spray the cleaning solution ecco clean on the earpiece (1
bottle is included and can be reordered at any time).Let absorb the
cleaning solution for a moment and clean the earpiece again by means
of the red vacuum hose. Then switch off the device after use by means
of the orange button STOP (press button for 3 seconds).
The blue hose is provided to blow out the hooks and tubings. This will
work as soon as the device is switched on and works in the suction
mode.
6. Drying of hearing aids / easy cleaner 2
Easy cleaner 2 must be placed on easy cleaner 1 and be connected by
means of cable and hose. Place the hearing aid (max. 2 hearing aids) on
the rubber pad and place the cup on top. Before doing so, we
recommend removing all hooks and/or filtering systems. The hearing aid
should not be placed directly above the vacuum hole (small hole in the
centre) so that the optimum vacuum can be produced (0,8 bar).
TIP: Please press the drying cup firmly on to the rubber pad in order to
ensure a quicker build-up of pressure.
By pressing orange button START function suction is started on easy
cleaner 1. By pressing button START once more the system switches to
5 minutes drying. 5 green LED’s light up and one LED goes off per
minute. Then the device is switched off automatically.
Another pressing of button START means long - term drying for 15
minutes. The device is switched off automatically.
As soon as button START is pressed again function suction is switched
on again and the drying process is stopped.
By means the button START/PROGRAMME/STOP these functions can
always be run consecutively. Press button STOP for 3 seconds to switch
off the device.

7. Care and Cleaning / easy cleaner 1 & 2
We recommend daily cleaning of the filter of the vacuum pump (but
at least once a week). It is installed on the back of the device (easy
cleaner 1
Ignoring this instruction may cause a defect of the device.
Remove the filter housing from the holder, plug out transparent hoses
right and left, turn the cover of the housing on the left side
counterclockwise by 30°
The moving part of the filter housing must be on the left-hand side,
in order to collect the earwax inside the filter. Remove the cover, turn
the housing and empty it over a paper towel. The filter must not come in
contact with moisture. Remove the filter from the housing. The earwax is
inside the filter. We recommend to replace the filter of the vacuum pump
every 6 months by a new one ( at least once a year) A spare filter is
included. Further filters can be purchased subsequently.
For assembling place the earwax filter on the housing and mount cover
and turn again by 30° in clockwise direction. The part with the
moveable cover must again be on the left hand side when being
installed. The filter is fixed correctly when the arrow on the filter
housing points to the same direction (to the right) same as the
arrow on the housing. Then connect the transparent hoses right and
left.

Make sure that the filter is inserted correctly. This can be checked by
switching on the device and closing the red vacuum hose with the finger.
The LED should then change from green to red. In case the LED
remains green the filter has probably not been fixed correctly, the cover
has not been screwed on correctly, or the hoses are not properly
connected. Please repeat the procedure.
Every now and then it may happen that the cleaning attachments are
dirty, this can be seen when the red LED is permanently on instead of
the green LED. In this case we recommend to clean the cleaning
attachments in an ultrasonic bath and to check if the hoses on the back
of the device fit properly. If nevertheless the suction function does not
work the filter should be checked. It may be that it is dirty or clogged
through earwax. Then please clean the filter.
Please also clean the hoses regularly (once a week) together with the
metal handpieces on the hose tips. These can be removed, be cleaned
in the Ultra-Sonic-Bath, be dried overnight and be installed again.
The metal handpieces on the hose tips can also be cleaned separately if
needed. Disconnect the metal handpieces on the hose tips from the
hose by rotary motion, clean them and connect them again with the
hoses.
8. Maintenance
The device is maintenance-free. We recommend an annual check by a
qualified electrician as per VDE 07071-1 and regular cleaning.

9. General Information
The special features of cleaning are achieved by means of a control
technology having been exclusively developed for these functions. No
check of the function of the power LED (green) at the front of the device,
mains connection and power supply unit. If the device does not fulfil the
functions described any longer we kindly ask you to send us easy
cleaner 1&2 for inspection.
10. Accessories and Spare Parts
You will find accessories and spare parts in our online shop
www.eccola.de such as cleaning attachments, replacement hoses,
(blue and red), replacement filters and ecco clean cleaning fluid.

declaration loses its validity.
12. Warranty
You have a two year warranty for all components (this excludes: wanton
destruction, wear parts and disregard of the operating instruction). The
warranty will be terminated in case the device is opened by unauthorized
persons.
