Quick Start Guide
Model: EK-MT1
Fast Reading, Digital, Folding Thermocouple Probe Thermometer
Before First Use
Remove static cling label covering the LCD display and the protective
film covering the black faceplate before using.
Install supplied AAA batteries. Remove the battery door on the back
of the unit and insert the batteries with proper +/- orientation.
Clean the stainless steel tip with warm soapy water. Rinse with water
and dry with clean cloth or towel.
Getting Started
Unfold probe completely into the open and locked position.
Insert probe into center of meat or food approximately 1” deep to
obtain an accurate reading.
Accurate reading is produced in 4 seconds or less.
The unit should NOT be submerged in water, put in a dishwasher, or
left in oven or grill.

Calibration Instructions (if needed)
To Calibrate the thermometer, insert the probe tip into a glass
containing three parts ice and one part water.
Press and hold the CAL button until the LCD display
flashes and then press the HOLD () button to
raise the display temperature or press °F/°C ()
button to lower the display temperature.
While continuing to press the CAL button, adjust
the calibrated temperature to 32° F or 0° C. Once
calibrated temperature is reached, continue
pressing the CAL button until the LCD stops
flashing. The thermometer has now been
calibrated.
