Operation
GettingStarted
Removetheprotectivefoilfromthedisplay.
Openthebatterycompartmentandremovethebatteryinsulationstrip.Thedevicewill
soundthealarmandallLCDsegmentswillbedisplayedfortwosecondsasthedevice
switchesON.
Theindoortemperature,relativehumidity,andcorrespondingfacialsymbolwillappear
onthedisplay.Thisindicatesthatthemeterisnowreadyforuse.
Note:DonotattachthesupportstanduntiltheswitchesfortheRadarAnimationandAlarm
Soundaresetasdesired.Thesetwoswitchesareconcealedbythesupportstandwhenitis
attached.RefertotheDescriptionsectionofthisguideforthelocationoftheswitchesand
refertothededicatedsectionsbelowformoredetail.
24HourMoldRadarDisplay
Thedevicemeasurestherelativehumidity%every30secondsandcalculatestheaverage
valueevery10minutes.Theinnovativemoldradardisplaygraphicallydepictstheaverageon
a24‐hourtime‐line.
Thetime“0h”representsthevalueforthecurrenthour.“‐1”representsthelasthour,“‐3”
forthepast2‐3hours,“‐6”forthepast4‐6hours,“‐12”forthepast7‐12hours,and“‐24”for
thepast13‐24hours.
Therelativehumidityvaluesareshownongridlinesfrom15to85%.
Areadinghigherthan65%RHindicatesapotentialformold.
RadarAnimationON/OFFSwitch
RemovethesupportstandtoaccesstheRadarAnimationON/OFFswitchonthebackofthe
unit(theswitchisontherightidentifiedbythearrowicons).SlidetheswitchUPtoactivate
theRadarAnimation.SlidetheswitchDOWNtodeactivatetheRadarAnimation.
AlarmSoundON/OFFSwitch
RemovethesupportstandtoaccesstheAlarmSoundON/OFFswitchonthebackoftheunit
(theswitchisontheleftidentifiedbytheaudioicons).SlidetheswitchUPtoactivatethe
AlarmSoundbeeper.SlidetheswitchDOWNtode‐activatetheAlarmSoundbeeper.
Iftherelativehumiditymeasurementishigherthan65%,thealarmbeepersoundsforone
minuteandtheredwarninglight(frontpanel,right)flashes.Pressanybuttontostopthe
alarmsound.Thewarninglightcontinuesflashinguntilthemeasuredhumidityfallsbelow
65%.
ComfortLevel
Thedevicedisplaysoneoftwofacialindicatorsrepresentingthecomfortleveloftheindoor
climate.Asmilingfaceindicatesanidealrelativehumidityrange(40‐60%).Afrowningface
indicatesanoverlywetordrycondition(<40%or>60%).

DewPointTemperatureDisplay
PresstheDewPointbuttontodisplaytheDewPointTemperaturefor5seconds.Thedisplay
willreverttotheAirTemperature/RelativeHumiditydisplaymodeafter5seconds,
automatically.
TemperatureUnitsSelection
PressandholdtheDewPointbuttonfor5secondstotogglethetemperatureunits(°Cand°F).
Note:InMIN/MAXmodepressingandholdingtheDewPointbuttonclearstheMINorMAX
memory(dependingonwhichoneisselected)anddoesnotchangethetemperatureunits.
EnsurethatMIN/MAXmodeisnotactivatedwhenchangingthetemperatureunits.
MinimumandMaximumValues
PresstheMIN/MAXbuttonandtheMAXiconwillappearalongwiththehighestindoor
temperatureandhumidityreadingscapturedsincethelastreset.
TodisplaytheMINvalues,presstheMIN/MAXbuttonagain.TheMINiconwillappear
alongwiththelowestindoortemperatureandhumidityreadingscapturedsincethelast
reset.
TheinstrumentwillautomaticallyexittheMIN/MAXmodeifnobuttonispressed.
Toexittothenormaldisplaymodemanually,presstheMIN/MAXbuttonagain(theMIN
andMAXindicatorswillswitchOFF).
TocleartheMINorMAXmemory,pressandholdtheDewPointbuttonforthree
secondswhiletheMINorMAXiconisshowing.TheMINortheMAXindicatorwillflash
asitsmemoryiscleared.
TableTopandWallmountingConsiderations
Theunitcanbewallmountedusingthewallmountaccessholelocatedontherearofthe
device.Usethesupportstandfortabletopuse.Notethatthehumiditylevelcanvarygreatly
accordingtolocation;mounttheunitasclosetotheareaofconcernaspossible.

whenthebatterysymbolappearsemptyonthedisplay.Opentherearbatterycompartmentand
inserttwonewbatteries1.5VAAAobservingcorrectpolarity.Closethebatterycompartment
beforeuse.
