BS PLUG WIRING
Wiring Instrucons: Should it be necessary to change the plug, please note the wires in the
mains lead are coloured in accordance with the following codes:
BLUE - NEUTRAL
BROWN – LIVE
GREEN AND YELLOW - EARTH
In the event that the colours of the wires in the mains lead of this appliance does not correspond
with the coloured markings idenfying the terminals in your plug, proceed as follows:
1. The BLUE wire is NEUTRAL and must be connected to the terminal which is marked with the
leer N or coloured BLACK.
2. The BROWN wire is LIVE and must be connected to the terminal which is marked with the leer
L or coloured RED.
3. The GREEN/YELLOW is EARTH and must be connected to the terminal which is marked with the
leer E or or coloured GREEN or GREEN/YELLOW.
4. Always ensure that the cord grip is posioned and fastened correctly.
If a 13A (BS 1363) fused plug is used it must be fied with a 13A -fuse. If in doubt consult a
qualified electrician.

Thank you and congratulaons for choosing an EcoAir dehumidifier to help you control the Relave
Humidity within your home. Inside this manual you will find many helpful ps on how to use and
maintain your dehumidifier efficiently. Just a lile preventave care can save you money and pro-
long the life of your dehumidifier.
The purpose of the dehumidifier is to remove the excess moisture in the air by detecng the humidity
level in the room. By keeping humidity within recommended levels, a dehumidifier combats
household damp, mould and mildew. Dehumidifiers can help to reduce the symptoms of asthma,
allergies, and other respiratory health condions. They can also be used to help dry laundry quicker
and control moisture-based damage (such as the aermath of flooding, leaks or rising damp) to
valuable belongings and furniture.
HUMIDITY GUIDE
There will always be water vapour in the air. The water vapour (or commonly known as moisture) in
the air is measured in % Relave Humidity (RH). RH is the rao of the actual amount of water vapour
in the air to the amount it could hold when saturated expressed as a percentage. Too much or too
lile moisture in our homes can be unhealthy and uncomfortable. The opmum humidity level is
between 40% and 60% (RH) where we feel most comfortable.
LOW HUMIDITY
Low humidity indoors causes excess drying which can trigger skin irritaons such as eczema, chapped
skin and dry nose. It can also damage possessions, such as wooden furniture, musical instruments
and artwork by drying it out too much.
HIGH HUMIDITY
High humidity indoors causes damp and condensaon. The damp le by condensaon can damage
plaster, wall paper, furniture, vehicles, mber windows, doors and clothes. It can be harmful to our
health when bacteria thrives, causing mould and fungus.
MAINTAINING SAFE LEVELS OF HUMIDITY
It is important to maintain a consistent humidity range to preserve furniture, painngs, door and
window frames. High humidity causes swelling, corrosion, soening of glues and paint. Low
humidity causes shrinking, cracking, warping of wood surfaces and gaps in joints, doors and windows.
Frequent changes in humidity levels can accelerate damages to property and belongings.
CONDENSATION
The warmer the air, the more moisture the air can hold than colder air. So, when the air inside the
house becomes colder, the moisture contents in the air becomes saturated, and gets heavier
resulng in moisture concentraon on the coldest parts of the house parcularly on the windows,
bathroom mirrors and walls. This is condensaon, caused by a sudden increase in humidity, cooking,
showers, drying clothes, inadequate venlaon and poor thermal insulaon.
Condensaon does not disappear instantly even with the dehumidifier on. Where excessive
condensaon appears for example, on your windows, you may want to open your windows to expel
the excess humidity for several minutes. It will take a while for the condensaon to generally
increase the humidity in the room. Once the humidity level in the room around the dehumidifier is
increased above the level you have set on the dehumidifier, it will then begin the dehumidificaon
process.

When using electrical appliances, basic safety precauons should always be followed:
1. Do not operate the appliance if there is a damaged cord, plug or aer it malfuncons if it has been dropped or
damaged in any way. Arrange for the appliance to be examined or repaired by an authorised technician.
2. Always keep the appliance in an upright posion to avoid any damage. Place the appliance on an even level surface
during operaon.
3. Ensure the household voltage matches the rated specificaon for the appliance before use.
4. Operate this appliance in an ambient temperature between 16°C and 35°C.
5. Ensure that the air inlets and outlets are not blocked or covered. Do not insert fingers or any objects into the air
inlet or outlet openings.
6. Do not place the unit too close to curtains or any other objects, keep minimum distance of 40cm.
7. Never place anything on top of the appliance and do not cover while in use.
8. To protect against electric shocks, do not immerse or spray the appliance or any of its parts in water.
9. Never unplug the power cord without switching OFF the appliance first.
10. Always unplug the appliance when not in use or when moving locaon. To disconnect the appliance from the pow-
er supply, grip the plug and pull from the power socket. Never pull by the cord.
11. Always empty the internal water tank before storing the appliance away.
12. Close supervision is necessary when the appliance is used in the presence of children and pets.
13. Do not run power cord under carpeng, or cover with rugs or runners. Arrange the cord away from areas where it
may become a trip hazard.
14. Never operate or store the appliance in direct sunlight.
15. Repairs must be carried out by an authorised technician, failure to do so may cause damage to the appliance or
injury to persons or property and will void the warranty. Always insist on original spare parts.
16. Do not connect via an extension lead or Mul-socket plug. Extension leads and Mul-socket plugs do not guarantee
the required safety of the appliance (e.g. danger of overheang).
17. Do not use the appliance without the air filter. Check and if necessary clean the air filter every two weeks.
18. Do not leave the appliance unaended over a long period of me. Leaving your appliance unaended for long peri-
ods of me with an uncleaned filter may lead to a fire hazard.
19. Do not use the Laundry Mode funcon over a long period of me.
20. At the end of its working life dispose of the appliance responsibly, in accordance with local regulaons.
21. Before cleaning or maintaining the appliance, please turn off the power and unplug.
22. Do not insert or pull out the power plug with wet hands.
23. Do not operate heang equipment around the appliance.
24. Keep a safe distance from fire source, inflammable and explosive objects.
25. Keep children from playing with or climbing on the appliance.
26. Do not put clothes above the appliance to dry.
27. Never open the unit casing yourself and aempt to repair. This will void the warranty and is a potenal health and
safety risk.
28. This appliance is not for use in a Server Room or any other similar environment.
29. Dispose of the water collected from the dehumidifier, this water is not drinkable.
30. Do not remove the water tank when running, this may cause water to leak.
31. When using the "LAUNDRY" mode to dry wet clothes efficiently, keep the laundry at a safe distance from the dehu-
midifier to prevent water from dripping onto the dehumidifier.

1. Power Key - Turn dehumidifier on ON/OFF.
2. Fan Mode - Select for High or for Low fan speed.
3. Timer key - Select or hours mer ON or OFF.
4. Power On Indicator Light - Indicates dehumidifier is plugged into mains socket.
5. Water Full Light Indicator - Lights up when Water Tank is full, missing or is inserted
incorrectly.
6. Humidity Display Panel - Displays actual humidity level (%RH) in the room while the dehumidi-
fier is running and your set target humidity level (%RH) when selecng the desired humidity
using the or buons.
7. Humidity Seng Buon - Press or to increase and decrease your humidity target
sengs. The humidity ranges from 35%RH to 80%RH.
8. Laundry/Connuous (CO) Indicator - Press repeatedly unl (CO) is displayed. The
green Laundry LED indicator stays on when in Laundry mode. In Laundry mode, the dehumidi-
fier will run connuously.
9. Filter Clean Indicator - icon Indicates that the air filter needs cleaning or replacement.
Cleaning your filter regularly helps to prolong the life of the dehumidifier and gives you cleaner
air.
10. Filter Clean Reset Buon - Once the filter has been cleaned and replaced, press the filter
clean reset buon to reset the filter clean indicator.

QUICK START UP
STEP 3 - ON/OFF

x Always place the dehumidifier in an
upright posion on an even level
surface.
x Plug the dehumidifier into the mains
socket, power on indicator will remain
on whilst the dehumidifier is plugged
in to the mains.
x The dehumidifier performs best at a
minimum ambient temperature of
15ºC . Where ambient temperature is
below 15ºC it will need to go into de-
frost mode periodically to preserve the
life of the compressor.
x Press the ON/OFF buon to operate
the dehumidifier.
x Now select Mode. (See step 4)
STEP 1 - WHERE TO POSITION YOUR
DEHUMIDIFIER?
Aer unpacking your dehumidifier, place it upright
to allow the compressor to stabilise for at least 4
hours before use.
Ensure the dehumidifier is a safe distance away
from a wall or furniture, away from direct sunlight.
TIP: Posion the dehumidifier in the dampest room
or somewhere central like a landing or a hallway. As
long as the internal doors are open the excess mois-
ture from all of the rooms in the house will migrate
naturally towards the dehumidifier and be processed.
STEP 4 - FAN MODE

Select for low fan speed
x Use for quiet operaon or when
humidity has been reduced.
x Highly recommended for night use.
Select for high fan speed
x Use for maximum moisture removal.
x Highly recommended for drying
laundry or problem areas.
Tip:
When turning on the dehumidifier, if
your desired humidity seng is higher
than the actual humidity, the
dehumidifier will run on fan-only mode
to sample the air for 5-10 minutes, to
sense the ambient humidity before
switching off automacally.
STEP 2 - CAUTION - AVOID USING IN
x Areas where ambient temperature falls
below 5°C.
x Small confined area i.e. broom cupboard,
boiler room, unvenlated rooms etc.
x Close proximity to a heat source such as
heater, tumble dryer, cooker.
x Dusty or building sites or an industrial
environment where parcles can clog up the
filter or internal components. This will cause
the dehumidifier to malfuncon, voiding your
guarantee.

QUICK START UP
STEP 6 - HUMIDITY DISPLAY
Select for higher desired humidity.
x Press to set to a higher % value up to
80% RH.
Select to reduce the humidity levels.
x Press to select a lower % down to
35% RH.
x Can also be selected to set laundry/
CO for connuous mode, unl the
laundry indicator comes on or CO
displays.
This is an acve humidistat and shows actual hu-
midity level (%RH) in the environment when the
dehumidifier is running.
The display will show the actual humidity in the
room 5 second aer the humidity level is set on
the control.
The humidity level can be set within a range of
35% RH to 80% RH at 5% intervals.
To adjust the RH% use + or - keys, either side of
the electronic display.
STEP 5 - TIMER
SETTING TIMER OFF
Press the "TIMER" Key to select your desired run-
ning me
x The dehumidifier will automa-
cally switch off at the end of the
selected me period.
x Indicator light will illuminate next
to the selected me.

x Once the dehumidifier is
switched off, wait 3 minutes
before resuming operaon.
SETTING TIMER ON
Pre set Timer Funcon:
x Switch dehumidifier ON, select desired humidity
and fan speed.
x Switch dehumidifier OFF via the buon on
the control panel (NOT from the mains) and se-
lect the mer 2 or 4 hours.
x So long as the dehumidifier is plugged into the
mains, the dehumidifier will switch ON aer the
selected me has lapsed.
x The dehumidifier will operate at the pre set
sengs selected in point 2 above and will con-
nue dehumidifying unl humidity seng is
reached or the sengs are changed or water
tank is full or switched OFF.
Note: Wait 3 minutes before resuming operaon.
Aer the dehumidifier has stopped (other than tank
full) it will not restart for approximately 3 minutes.
This is to protect the dehumidifier and is not a fault.
Operaon will automacally restart aer 3 minutes.
STEP 7 - LAUNDRY/CONTINUOUS
(CONTINUED FROM STEP 6)
x Press unl the CO appears on dis-
play screen.
x Select desired fan speed.
x The dehumidifier will operate con-
nuously at its maximum dehu-
midificaon sengs unl seng is
changed or the water tank is full.
Note: If connected to a hose pipe for connuous
drainage the dehumidifier will connue run on its
maximum dehumidificaon sengs.
STEP 8 - FILTER
x The filter clean indicator will light up
when the filter needs cleaning.
x Once the filter has been cleaned and
replaced into posion,
press buon to reset the filter
clean indicator.

STEP 9 - TANK FULL INDICATOR
x Indicator lights up when water
tank is full or incorrectly inserted.
The dehumidifier will
automacally switch off.
x Remove water tank, empty and
reinstate correctly.
Note:
x If the tank is full or removed for more than a 3
minute period, an alarm will sound for about 10
seconds to alert the water tank needs emptying
or placing back into posion.
x When the water tank is full or removed, the con-
trols are disabled.
USEFUL INFORMATION
x When you first use your dehumidifier set the fan to
high seng to reduce the humidity quickly and to
your desired humidity. This is the me when it will
produce the most water and need emptying more
frequently, as the humidity seles, use the low fan
seng.
x Auto Restart - Once the power is restored aer a
power failure, the appliance will connue to
operate at the selected sengs prior to the power
failure.
x Auto Defrost - When frost builds up on the evapo-
rator coils, the compressor will cycle off and the fan
will connue to run unl the frost disappears.
x Auto shut off - The dehumidifier will automacally
switch off when the tank is full or removed and
when humidity seng is reached.

EMPTYING THE WATER TANK
 The Water Full Indicator lights up when the water tank is full and the dehumidifier stops oper-
ang.
 Do not move the dehumidifier or remove the water tank when the dehumidifier is running, as
water may leak; causing damages to the dehumidifier or an electric shock.
 Before removing the water tank leave the dehumidifier to stand for approximately 10 minutes
to ensure all water has dripped into the water tank.
 To remove the water tank, slide it out gently by gripping the water tank from both sides and
li carefully.
 Pour the water away by lng the water tank from the purpose-made outlet, (see step 3
picture) to the right side. Clean the water tank if needed.
 Reinsert the water tank to the correct posion, as soon as possible to prevent water dripping
from the dehumidifier.
NOTE :
x Clean the water tank with clean water if needed. Do not use detergent, solvent, abrasive
or hot water to avoid damaging the water tank or float.
x Do not remove or damage the float in the water tank or the dehumidifier will not operate
properly.
x The Water Full light indicator illuminates if the water tank is not correctly in posion.
x Do not lt the dehumidifier when removing the water tank.
x If the water tank is removed whilst the dehumidifier is running the fan will connue to run
for 3 minutes.

CONTINUOUS DRAINAGE
You may use a hose with an inner diameter of 14mm for connuous drainage (supplied):
 Remove the connuous drainage cap (A) an clockwise and then remove the black rubber
bung (B) from the nozzle.
 Aach the drain connector (C) provided. Insert and turn clockwise to secure to the nozzle.
 Insert the drainage hose into the drain connector (D). The hose must lead to an appropriate
drain at a downward slope with no sharp bends.
NOTE:
x Ensure the water tank is well fied in posion before inserng the hose.
x Store the connuous drainage cap away for future use.

When using connuous drainage opon, place dehumidifier on a level surface and make
sure the hose is clear of any obstrucons and is directed downwards. Press down the
drain cap so it rests on top of the hose.
Avoid placing dehumidifier on an uneven surface and improper hose installaon as it may
result in the unit shung off. Empty water tank if shut off occurs, then check dehumidifier
locaon and hose for proper setup.

MAINTENANCE
STEP 1 - CLEANING YOUR FILTER
 Turn OFF the dehumidifier, to remove the
filter press the two clips gently and pull out
the filter.
 Clean the filter lightly with a brush or vacuum
cleaner or warm mild soapy water. Allow the
filter to air dry fully.
 Replace the filter back into posion. Press
the Filter key to reset.
 If the filter is covered with dust, the airflow
and the performance of the dehumidifier will
be affected. Check the filter periodically to
ensure all dust is removed.
Tip: Clean your filter every 2 weeks to keep your
air clean and prolong the life of your
dehumidifier. The frequency will depend on
condions of operaon.
STEP 2 - REPLACING YOUR FILTER
It is recommended that the filter is replaced
every year for opmal performance and hygiene
standards. To purchase a replacement filter

STEP 4 - STORING YOUR DEHUMIDIFIER
 Turn OFF the dehumidifier, wait for the fan to
stop and unplug the dehumidifier from the
power socket.
 Leave the dehumidifier to drain for
approximately one day. Clean and dry the
water tank.
 Clean the filter and the dehumidifier. Cover
the dehumidifier to prevent it from
gathering dust. Store upright in a cool dry
place.
 Do not expose to direct sunlight.
STEP 3- CLEANING YOUR DEHUMIDIFIER
 Turn the dehumidifier OFF, wait for the fan to
stop and unplug the dehumidifier from the
socket.
2. Clean the surface with a so damp cloth.
3. Dry thoroughly with a dry towel aer cleaning.
4. Empty the water tank. Allow water tank to
drip dry or dry with a cloth.
5. Please take care when cleaning or drying
around the float area.
Cauon:
x Do not wash the dehumidifier or immerse in
water.
x Do not let water drip into the air inlet or
outlet.

TROUBLESHOOTING
THE FOLLOWING POINTS BEFORE CONTACTING TECHNICAL SUPPORT.

cance to the appliance's value or fitness for purpose, nor damage caused by wear and tear, exceponal
environmental condions and inappropriate operang condions.
5. No warranty liability will be accepted:-
a. If the defects stem from transport damage for which we are not responsible.
b. Improper installaon and assembly or non– compliance with the safety regulaons and warnings
given in the operang instrucons.
c. Improper use, to also include poor maintenance caused by insufficient aercare or
cleaning and failure to observe operang or assembly instrucons or use with improper voltage
recommendaons.
d. Use in a non-domesc environment, to include appliance for rental.
6. No rights are given under this warranty to a person acquiring the appliance second hand.
7. We reserve the right to invalidate the warranty: -
a. If repairs or other intervenons are performed by persons not authorised by us.
b. If our appliances are fied with non-original spare parts, extras or accessories.
c. If our appliance has been altered and damaged by owner or third pares.
d. In the event of abuse (whether physical or verbal abuse) towards any member of staff.
8. Warranty provision will be free of charge and we will decide whether this will take the form of a repair or
the replacement of the appliance. Small appliances that can be reasonably transported or posted may
need to be handed over or shipped to our customer service centre. A purchase receipt must be present-
ed in each case. Replaced parts pass into our ownership.
9. Under no circumstances shall the applicaon of this warranty give rise to the complete
replacement of the appliances. In the event of a replacement appliance being supplied at our discreon,
we reserve the right to charge an appropriate monetary offset in respect of the
period of use already enjoyed.
10. The provision of services under warranty neither extends the term of the warranty nor sets in moon a
new Warranty Period. The Warranty Period for spare parts fied ends with the expiry of the warranty on
the appliance as a whole.
11. EcoAir shall not be liable for loss of goods, loss of use, or any special, indirect, consequenal or pure eco-
nomic loss, costs, damages, charges or expenses.
12. Our Warranty service is on a return to base basis.
13. This unit is only for domesc use.
14. The Customer acknowledges and agrees that details of the Customer’s name, address and payment
method will be held and used by EcoAir to provide the services and to send to the Customer further In
formaon. EcoAir may disclose your informaon to third pares and agents in order to perform the ser-
vices.
These warranty condions apply to appliances purchased in the United Kingdom. If appliances shipped to other countries
feature the appropriate technical condions (e.g. voltage, frequency, gas-types etc.) for the climac and environmental
condions in the country concerned, the terms of the warranty will apply, provided a local customer service network ex-
ists. Appliances purchased outside the United Kingdom are subject to the warranty condions published by the appropri-
ate local representave office of that country. These can be obtained via the specialist dealer from whom you bought
appliance.
