The eCom RSM-Ex 01 BT is a Bluetooth speaker/mic with PTT and channel up/down buttons. This is a programmable device
which enables all of these functions with ESChat. The mic is programmed by eCom's app, eSetup RSM-Ex. Here are the
instructions for setup the RSM mic to work with ESChat.

Begin by pow ering on the device by holding the
power button until the RSM announces
"Discovering". In the Android menu, pair the
eCOM RSM-Ex 01 BT to the Android device.
You will need to install the "eSetup RSM-Ex" app
via the google play store. Exit the store after the
install without opening the app.

From your device home screen, open the "eSetup
RSM-Ex" app. You will need to accept the
permission upon startup.
Select "Connect to RSM-Ex 01 BT via SPP Profile."
Next, tap the device to connect.

The section required for setup with ESChat is the
"Buttons" tab. Select the "Buttons" tab.
Begin with the "SOS Button" section. For the
fields "Pressed SPP Command" and "Released SPP
Command" you w ill need to input the following:
Pressed SPP Command: +EMER=P
Released SPP Command: +EMER=R

In the "PTT Button" section, the fields for "Pressed
SPP Command" and "Released SPP Command" will
need to be the following:
Pressed SPP: +PTT=P
Released SPP: +PTT=R
Scroll dow n to the "Channel Up Button" section.
For the "Pressed SPP Command" and "Released
SPP Command" you w ill need the follow ing:
Pressed SPP: +CH_UP=P
Released SPP: +CH_UP=R

Scroll dow n to the "Channel Dow n Button"
section. For the Pressed SPP Command" and
"Released SPP Command" will need to be the
following:
Pressed SPP: +CH_DN=P
Released SPP: +CH_DN=R
Select the "Connection" tab. Save the file using
the "Save As" option.
.You will need to name the file to save on this
phone. As these are programmable by the app,
many units can be programmed by paring and
loading this saved file from this phone.

Select "Send data to connected RSM-Ex 01 BT" to
finish the programming process. You may exit the
app after the transmit has competed.
Note: As this device has the save configuration
file, it can be used to program other eCom RSM-Ex
devices. Simply pair the next device to the phone
and repeat the "Save and Send" step.
Open ESChat and go to the "Settings" menu.
Select "General" settings.

Select the "PTT Button" option and then set it to
"Bluetooth SPP."
The eCom RSM-Ex is now ready to use with
ESChat.
The RSM will scroll through the channels via the "Up" and "Dow n" Buttons on the face of the Mic. The PTT button is on the
Left corner.

If the buttons do not function correctly, open the
"eSetup RSM" app. Select the "Reads data from
connected RSM-Ex 01 BT" option.
Once the "Reading data" completes, go to the
"Buttons" tab and confirm the above settings for
each of the button sections.
