mode, the new comfort temperature is the one set for the pilot wire. If the night temperature is
higher, the system automatically reduces the temperature to comfort temperature minus 0.5°C.
Comfort Mode
It is the standard mode of use of the radiator to keep the ambient temperature to the value set.
1. Press the “Function” key until the relevant key is displayed.
2. Select the desired temperature using“+” and “-” keys.
The minimum value that can be set is equal to the night temperature plus 0.5°C. The maximum value
is 32°C.
Night Mode
By selecting this operating mode, the appliance keeps the ambient to the night temperature set.
The desired night temperature setting takes place as follows:
1. Press the “Function” key until the relevant key is displayed.
2. Select the night temperature using “+”and “-” keys.
The maximum value that can be set is equal to the comfort temperature minus 0.5°C. The minimum
value is 7°C.
Freeze protection mode
By selecting this mode, the ambient temperature is set to 7°C.
Press the “Function” key until the relevant key is displayed.
Holiday mode
By selecting this function, the radiator enters in freeze protection mode for a period of time set by the user.

2. With “+” and “-”keys it is possible to select the duration of the boost period, from 5 to 120 minutes.
When this function is active, the radiator works at the maximum power, provided that the ambient
temperature does not exceed 32°C. When the set period of time has elapsed, indicated by a
countdown on the display, the radiator will work again in the state previously selected.
Eco Mode
This mode selects a preset temperature level of 17°C (not editable) independent of the other settings
of the radiator. This function allows to lower consumptions, for instance when the room remains
empty for an indefinite period of time.
To select this mode, press the“Function” key as many times as necessary until the relevant icon is
displayed.
Window opening function
The radiator is able to identify whether a window has been opened through detection of a quick
ambient temperature reduction (5°C at least in a maximum of 30 minutes). If this happens, the
radiator switches off for 30 minutes and then it restarts working in the previously set mode if it
detects a subsequent increase in temperature of at least one degree centigrade (the window has been
closed), otherwise it remains off for an additional 30 minutes.
When the function is activated the symbol of the window is displayed (but it does not appear in
standby state).

Child protection function
This function, when selected, reduces the radiator power and reduces the radiator surface
temperature accordingly, then it can be useful in the presence of children.
Moreover, this function allows to use the same radiator also in rooms smaller than those to which it
was initially intended, without too frequent ambient temperature variations (comfort improvement).
When this function is activated, the radiator power corresponds to the percentage value set by the

advance of 2 hours) to ensure that the room can reach the desired temperature at the set time.
To activate/deactivate this function, see the previous paragraph“Window opening function”.
When the function is activated, the corresponding symbol is displayed in the setting operating mode
(but it does not appear in standby mode).
Behaviour indicator
On the left side of the display a segment bar indicates the set temperature level. The higher
the set temperature, more segments are on. This is an immediate visualisation of consumption
required, since the higher the temperature set the higher, of course, the energy consumption.
Please note that a correct room temperature is between 20 and 21°C.
Temperature ranges associated with segments are:
Number of segments on Temperature range in °C
1 < = 19
2 19.5 - 20.5

7. WARRANTY
The body in aluminium alloy is warranted against manufacturing defects for 10 years from date of
purchase. Electric and electronic components are warranted for 2 years from the date of purchase of
the radiator. To validate your warranty, it is necessary to produce a document attesting the date of
purchase (tax receipt, invoice, sales receipt).
9. CHARACTERISTICS OF THE APPLIANCE
The radiator is composed of a body in die-cast aluminium alloy EN AB 46100 and contains a fluid
for internal heat transmission composed of highly refined mineral oil with high coefficient of heat
transmission, featuring high resistance to oxygenation to aid a long duration and low viscosity.
The internal fluid is heated through a resistor with class II insulation, resistor equipped with control
thermostat and safety thermal cut-off.
Control and adjustment electronics ensure high accuracy in ambient temperature setting.
In case of temporary lack of power supply, the radiator is able to store the set programming and the
time for about 2 hours.
A small tank for water used to humidify the environment is positioned on the left side.
N.B.: all the Fondital radiators are produced with an identification label that ensures traceability.
Such label certifies compliance with EEC directives and with electrical regulations.
Colour of the radiator: RAL 9010.
8. ENVIRONMENT The symbol applied to the appliance and shown here indicates that the
product must be disposed of in separate collection for electrical equipment.
At the end of the life of the appliance, it cannot be eliminated as solid urban
waste, but it must be sent to the collection centre of your area or returned to
the dealer when buying a new appliance of the same type and destined to
the same purpose.
Separate collection of electric and electronic equipment is part of a policy on
safeguarding, protecting and improving the quality of the environment and
to avoid potential adverse effects on human health due to the presence of
hazardous substances as classified by the European directives.
Warning! Incorrect disposal of the appliance involves sanctions.
When the radiator is eliminated, respect standards and laws in force for oil disposal.
For the validity of the warranty, the installation must comply with regulations and laws in
force and must be carried out in a craftsmanlike manner.
Warranty does not cover components subject to standard wear or consumption, as well as damages
resulting from transport or assembly.
