Expanded Colour Space
The CG221 has an expanded colour space that reproduces Adobe RGB,
meaning it not only covers the sRGB colour space supported by many
standard monitors, but also CMYK colour spaces used for printing.
Brightness and Colour Uniformity with Digital Uniformity
Equilizer
This ASIC has a 12-bit look-up table (LUT) with an extensive palette of
4,081 greyscale tones for each R, G, and B, and internal calculation
accuracy of 16-bits (64 times more accurate than 10-bit internal
calculation).
Exact Colour Calibration
With the EIZO ColorNavigator™ Software, the brightness can be
adjusted between 30 and 120 cd/m2, the colour temperature between
4000K and 10,000 K and the gamma value between 1.0 and 2.6. With a
spectrophotometer or Colorimeter the calibration is fully automatic and
after just 2 minutes the LCD screen shows a colour calibrated picture.
Precise Colour Control
The colour reproduction is controlled via an internal 12-Bit-Look-Up-
Table (LUT). A more exact gradation of colour is possible compared to
the usual 8-Bit-LUTs. That is, the colour control takes place with 4096³
(36 bits) instead of with 256³ (24 bits) gradation, for extremely accurate
calibration of the achromatic point. The deviation amounts to less than
0.5 ∆E.
16-Bit Processing
With 16-bit processing, accuracy is significantly improved resulting in
fewer conversion errors. The result is not only a much greater degree of
detail in dark areas, but overall uniformity of brightness and colour
throughout the entire screen.
Outstanding Image Quality
A resolution of 1920 x 1200 pixels, a contrast of 400:1 and a brightness
of approximately 200 cd/m2results in a first-class image quality with clear
as well as sharp text outlines. An evenly high contrast of colours and
grey tones is displayed even at the panel corners.
Fine Contrast
This function offers altogether six different video modes with different
pre-setting for brightness, Colour temperature and gamma. On the push
of a button, you get ideal viewing conditions for video clips (Movie),
diagram and still images (Picture), office applications (Text) and Internet
(sRGB). A Custom mode for personal preferences is also available.
Digital- and Analogue Inputs
Dual DVI-I-inputs permit the simultaneous connection of two computers.
Doubly digitally, doubly similar and mixed, the recognition takes place
automatically.
Automatic Image Adjustment
The screen centralises the image and displays it without problems. Even
the preferential brightness level is automatically controlled and kept
constant.
