Action set up through FastLOK System
SetUp dell’Action tramite FastLOK System
Dear Customer,
Thank You for choosing this EKO instrument belonging to the FastLOK series. The innovative locking system of the
guitar neck allows proper string height with respect to the ngerboard (action). Through very few and easy steps,
one may reach a better playability of every kind of music.
For a correct use, we suggest to strictly follow the instructions within this manual.

Grazie per la sua scelta di questo strumento EKO della gamma FastLOK. L’innovativo sistema di bloccaggio del
manico FastLOK permette, attraverso alcune semplici operazioni, di ottenere un’altezza adeguata delle corde sulla
tastiera, denita come “action”, in modo da rendere confortevole l’esecuzione di qualsiasi genere musicale.
Per un corretto utilizzo si raccomanda di seguire attentamente le istruzioni all’interno di questo manuale.

If when checking the height as shown in Step 1 the strings seem too
close to the ngerboard, proceed with small anticlockwise rotations
with the Allen key.
Se nel controllo fatto allo Step 1 le corde risultano troppo vicine alla
tastiera, agire con rotazioni minime tramite la brugola in senso AN-
TIORARIO.
In this case THE FINGERBOARD WILL PART FROM THE
STRINGS.
In questo caso LA TASTIERA SI ALLONTANERÁ DALLE CORDE.
STEP 4
PUNTO 4
If when checking the height as shown in Step 1 the strings seem too
far from the ngerboard, proceed with small clockwise rotations with
the Allen key.
Se nel controllo allo Step 1 le corde risultano troppo lontane dal-
la tastiera, agire con rotazioni minime tramite la brugola in senso
ORARIO.
In this case THE FINGERBOARD WILL MOVE TOWARDS THE
STRINGS.
In questo caso LA TASTIERA SI AVVICINERÁ ALLE CORDE.
AT THE END OF THIS PROCEDURE, THE ACTION DESIRED WILL BE REACHED AND WILL BE THUS MORE
SUITABLE TO ONE’S GUITAR STYLE.

STEP 1
PUNTO 1
Before setting the guitar check the actual string height at the 12th
fret (Picture 1).
The picture illustrates how to proceed with an EKO thickness gauge
tool, designed by EKO.
Prima di iniziare il set-up della chitarra controllare l’altezza effetti-
va delle corde al XII° (Fig.1) tasto.
Nella foto viene mostrato come procedere con l’ausilio di uno spessi-
metro originale realizzato dalla EKO.

Insert the Allen key in “B” as shown (Picture 2). If the graduated
circle is used as a guide, one may easily verify each rotation from
the starting position in which the key is inserted so as to reach the
action desired.
The graduated circle is divided into 8 parts each representing a 45°
rotation. We suggest proceeding with 15° rotations and to check the
variation in the string height.
Inserire la brugola a corredo in “B” come mostrato (Fig. 2). Usando
come guida il cerchio graduato sarà facile controllare, partendo dal
punto d’inserimento della chiave, la rotazione effettuata per portare
l’action al livello desiderato.
Il cerchio graduato è suddiviso in 8 parti ognuna delle quali rappre-
senta una rotazione di 45°.
Si consiglia di effettuare rotazioni di circa 15° e controllare la varia-
zione dell’altezza delle corde.
