GENERALINFORMATION
Packaging
Please DO NOT dispose of any packaging until you have checked the
appliance is operational.
After removing the packaging ensure the contents are intact and
complete.
In the unlikely event of missing parts; contact your retailer.
DO NOT leave children unattended with any of the packaging since
it is a potential source of danger. Disposal of all packaging must be
carried out responsibly & safely and in accordance with your local
authority regulations.
ALWAYS recycle the packaging material where possible.

GENERALINFORMATION
FeaturesofDesiccantTechnology
The desiccant dehumidifier is intended for household use only. Do not use
this appliance outdoors or on a wet surface.
The desiccant dehumidifier is designed to provide an optimum operating
performance between 1ºC and 37ºC. To achieve maximum efficiency, keep
doors and windows closed.
When first used or periodically afterwards, you may experience an odour
from the dehumidifier which is caused by the Zeolite desiccant material. This
odour is not harmful and does not indicate a faulty appliance.

WARNING - to reduce the risk of fire, electrical shock or injury to persons or
property:
1. Always operate the product from a power source of the same voltage,
frequency and rating as indicated on the product identification plate.
2. Close supervision is necessary when any appliance is used by or near
Children, the elderly or the infirm. Do not allow children to use the appliance
as a toy
3. Do not operate the appliance with a damaged power cord or plug, or after the
appliance malfunctions, or is dropped or appears damaged in any way. Return
the complete appliance to the place of purchase for inspection, repair or
replacement.
4. To reduce the risk of electric shock, do not expose the appliance or power
cord to moisture of any sort.
5. Do not operate the appliance near flammable materials or fire.
6. Switch off and unplug from the power socket when not in use, before
assembling or before cleaning.
7. Do not place objects on the appliance or allow objects to obstruct the inlet or
outlet openings, or operate in close proximity to walls or curtains, etc.
8. The use of attachments or accessories not recommended or sold by the
product distributor may cause injury to persons or damage to property.
9. This appliance is intended for normal domestic/household use only.
10. Do not attempt to disassemble the appliance.
11. Do not operate the appliance on a metal surface.
12. Do not use the appliance in artificially hot or humid conditions or allow to be
used in a hazardous environment.
13. Do not clean the appliance with organic solvent.
14. This appliance is not intended for use by persons (including children) with
reduced physical, sensory or mental capabilities, or lack of experience and
knowledge unless they have been given supervision or instruction concerning
use of the appliance by a person responsible for their safety.
15. Children should not be left unsupervised with the appliance.
16. This instruction manual is an integral part of the appliance and should be
stored for safe keeping and must always accompany the appliance in the
event of ownership transfer or for reference to by a service engineer.

POWER:
Press to switch the appliance ON (3 beeps will sound). Press again to switch the appliance
OFF.ON
MODE:
‘M’ mode is set when the appliance is switched ON. Press the mode button to control the
fan speed through the sequence below. Low, Medium, High(Laundry). The corresponding
LED will illuminate on the control panel and side panel.

HUMIDITY:
Continuous operation is set when the appliance is first switched ON. To change the
required relative humidity press the HUMIDITY button through the sequence below. The
corresponding LED will illuminate.
Note: Humidity selection applies to Low and Medium mode. High(Laundry) mode
automatically selects CONTINUOUS operation.

LOUVRE:
The louvre automatically turns to the upright position when the appliance is first turned
ON. Press once and the air louvre will move from 90° upright position to 45° to aid clothes
drying; the louvre LED will illuminate. Press again and the air louvre will return to the 90°
angle and the LOUVRE LED turns off .
TIMER:
Press the TIMER button through the sequence below.
Press the TIMER button to set running hours (1, 2, 4 or 8 hours). When the timer is set the
corresponding LED will illuminate displaying the time setting.
ION:
Ionizers use electricity to create negative electrons. These electrons stream into the air and
attractoxygenmolecules.Atthispoint,theybecomenegativeionsandareattractedto
airborne particles. These molecules build up around the particles until they become too
heavy to remain air borne and float to the ground.
ALARM:
The alarm will sound and the ALARM LED will illuminate if a malfunction is detected. The
appliance will shut down automatically if the internal temperature is too high. Disconnect
the appliance from the mains socket outlet and wait for 15 minutes before re‐connecting
the appliance to the mains socket outlet and continuing with normal operation. If the
alarm fault continues contact your authorised service agent immediately for further advice.

In CONTINUOUS operation the desiccant wheel will operate to remove ALL moisture
present in the air & fabric of the building. At 40%, 50% & 60% the appliance will operate to
achieve the set humidity. Once achieved, the desiccant wheel will stop operating until the
relative humidity rises above the set humidity. Please note that the fan will continue to
run at all times.

When the tank is FULL the WATER FULL LED on the control panel
will illuminate, 10 ‘beeps’ will be heard and the dehumidifier will
stop operating.
DO NOT move the appliance while the tank is full as this may lead
to water spillage and create a potential hazard.
To remove the tank, grip the tank firmly by the handle and pull
outwards. Any spillage should be dried immediately to avoid a
potential hazard.

1. Ensure the appliance is unplugged from the power
supply socket.
2. Remove the condensate tank.
3. Feed the flexible drain pipe through the condensate
tank apertures and attach to the water spigot.
4. Return the condensate tank back into the appliance
taking care not to dislodge or kink the flexible hose.
5. To ensure the condensate water drains away correctly;
no part of the drain hose must be above the water
spigot height.

Filtertab
Turn the appliance OFF and ensure the appliance is disconnected from the mains power
outlet.
Remove the filter located at the back of the appliance by pulling the filter tab and slide out.
Clean the filter using clean water and allow to dry. Alternatively, clean using a vacuum
cleaner.
Refit the clean filter into the appliance.

POWER FAILURE
Once the power is restored after a power failure, the appliance will automatically restart
at the selected settings prior to the power failure.
TURNING THE APPLIANCE OFF
After turning the appliance OFF using the POWER button, the fan will continue to run for
a short period of time. This is a normal procedure and helps to cool & protect the
internal components.
During this period, DO NOT remove the appliance from the electrical socket outlet; wait
for the fan to stop running.
THERMAL SAFETY PROTECTION
This appliance is fitted with an internal heater as part of the dehumidification process.
Should an overheat situation occur; the appliance will automatically power down. It is
important that the air intake and air outlet are ALWAYS clear of obstructions to avoid the
appliance overheating.
If the appliance shuts down due to thermal cut‐out; disconnect from the mains socket
outlet and wait for 15 minutes before re‐connecting the appliance to the mains socket
outlet and continuing with normal operation.

Wiring Instructions: Should it be necessary to change the plug please note
thewiresinthemainsleadarecolouredinaccordancewiththefollowing
code:
BLUE‐ NEUTRAL
BROWN‐ LIVE
GREEN/YELLOW‐ EARTH
As the colours of the wires in the mains lead of this appliance may not
correspond with the coloured markings identifying the terminals in your
plug, proceed as follows:
1. The BLUE wire is the NEUTRAL and must be connected to the terminal
that is marked with the letter Nor coloured BLACK.
2. The BROWN wire is the LIVE andmustbeconnectedtotheterminalthat
is marked with the letter Lor coloured RED.
3. Neither wire is to be connected to the terminal which is marked with the
letter Eor earth symbol , coloured GREEN or GREEN/YELLOW.
4. Always ensure that the cord grip is positioned and fastened correctly.
If a 13A (BS 1363) fusedplugisuseditmustbefittedwitha13A (BS 1362)
fuse. If in doubt consult a qualified electrician.
