tasse entschieden haben! Die Gebrauchsanweisung soll Ihnen
helfen, das Produkt möglichst optimal einzusetzen. Bitte lesen
Sie sich die Gebrauchsanweisung – insbesondere die „Anwen-
dungs- und Sicherheitshinweise“ – vor dem ersten Gebrauch
genau durch. Die Gebrauchsanweisung können Sie auch auf

3. Zweckbestimmung und bestimmungsgemäßer Gebrauch
Die ELANEE Menstruationstasse bietet sicheren und diskreten
Schutz während der Menstruation und ist eine wiederverwend-
bare Alternative zu Tampons und Binden.
4. Anwendungsbereiche
Dank des hohen Tragekomforts ist die ELANEE Menstruations-
tasse sowohl tagsüber als auch während des Schlafens sowie
bei sportlichen Aktivitäten, beim Schwimmen oder Saunabe-
such einsetzbar. Das Besondere an der ELANEE Menstrua-
tionstasse: sie kann hygienisch und einfach mithilfe der ein-
zigartigen Zuglasche oder alternativ wie herkömmliche Cups
entfernt werden.
Die ELANEE Menstruationstasse ist für Frauen ab der ersten
bis zur letzten Periode geeignet und in zwei Größen erhältlich:
Größe 1: leichte bis normale Periode
Durchmesser: 40 mm, Fassungsvermögen: 23 ml
Größe 2: starke Periode
Durchmesser: 45 mm, Fassungsvermögen: 33 ml
5. Funktionsweise
Die ELANEE Menstruationstasse wird vaginal eingeführt, um
das Menstruationssekret aufzufangen. Die beim Einführen
gefaltete Tasse entfaltet sich in der Vagina und legt sich dank
des exiblen Materials an die Scheidenwand an, wodurch kein

Menstruationsblut daran vorbeiießen kann. Die Entnahme
wird durch einen besonderen Mechanismus erleichtert. Hierbei
wird am herzförmigen Griff am Ende der Zuglasche gezogen,
die mit dem Randbereich verbunden ist. Der obere Rand der
Tasse löst sich durch die Zugkraft von der Scheidenwand, wo-
durch die Tasse einfach aus der Vagina gezogen werden kann.
Alternativ kann die ELANEE Menstruationstasse auch wie her-
kömmliche Menstruationstassen entfernt werden.
6. Anwendung
Prüfen Sie die Menstruationstasse vor jeder Verwendung
auf Beschädigungen.
Wie führt man die ELANEE Menstruationstasse ein?
Waschen Sie sich vor dem Einführen der Menstruationstasse
gründlich die Hände.
•Falten Sie den Cup entweder in eine C-Form
(a) oder in eine Muschel-Form (b) und achten
Sie dabei darauf, dass die Seite mit der Zug-
lasche nach innen gedrückt wird. Halten Sie
den gefalteten Cup mit dem Daumen auf der
einen und mit Zeige- und Mittelnger auf der
anderen Seite, so weit unten wie möglich, fest.
•Probieren Sie aus, in welcher Haltung das
Einführen für Sie am angenehmsten ist: im
Stehen oder Hocken, mit einem hochgestell-
ten Bein oder auf der Toilette sitzend. Ent-

spannen Sie Ihre Scheidenmuskulatur und spreizen Sie mit
Ihrer freien Hand Ihre Schamlippen. Führen Sie die gefaltete
Menstruationstasse in Richtung Ihres Steiß-
beins soweit in die Scheide ein, dass sich die
Griffäche ca. 2 cm oberhalb Ihrer Scheiden-
öffnung bendet. Die Menstruationstasse wird
sich öffnen, bevor sie vollständig eingeführt ist
und sitzt am unteren Ende der Scheide (c).
•Um zu prüfen, ob die Menstruationstasse richtig sitzt, grei-
fen Sie sie am unteren Ende (nicht am Griff) und drehen Sie
den Cup einmal um eine halbe Umdrehung in eine beliebige
Richtung. Lässt sich die Menstruationstasse
einfach drehen, ist sichergestellt, dass sie
vollständig geöffnet ist. Wenn Sie das Gefühl
haben, dass die Zuglasche zu lange bzw.
störend ist, können Sie eines der Herzen ab-
schneiden (d).
Wie entfernt man die ELANEE Menstruationstasse?
Abhängig von der Stärke Ihrer Blutung sollten Sie die Menstru-
ationstasse mehrmals täglich entleeren, um ein Überlaufen zu
verhindern. Wir empfehlen den Cup nach maximal 8 Stunden
zu entfernen und zu reinigen.
Waschen Sie sich vor dem Entfernen der Menstruationstasse
gründlich die Hände und nehmen Sie eine bequeme Haltung ein.

Variante 1
•Entspannen Sie Ihre Scheidenmuskulatur,
greifen Sie mit Daumen und Zeigenger ein
Herz der Zuglasche und ziehen Sie vorsichtig
daran (e).
•Ziehen Sie den Cup mithilfe der Zuglasche nach unten bis er
locker in Ihrer Scheide sitzt.
•Lassen Sie das Herz los und greifen Sie den Cup an der
Griffäche, um ihn aus Ihrer Scheide zu ziehen.
Variante 2
Sie können die ELANEE Menstruationstasse auch wie eine
herkömmliche Menstruationstasse entfernen:
•Entspannen Sie Ihre Scheidenmuskulatur und ziehen Sie
sanft an der Griffäche, bis Sie den unteren Teil des Cups grei-
fen können.
•Drücken Sie diesen zusammen und ziehen Sie den Cup aus
Ihrer Scheide.
Alternativ können Sie auch zwei Finger zwischen Scheidenwand
und Menstruationstasse führen und sie dann herausziehen.
Mithilfe der Markierungen auf der Innenseite des Cups, kann die
Füllmenge abgelesen werden:
• Größe 1: 10 ml und 20 ml
• Größe 2: 15 ml und 25 ml

Leeren Sie den Inhalt in die Toilette. Reinigen Sie die Mens-
truationstasse wie in Punkt 9. beschrieben und führen Sie sie
wieder ein.
Was soll man tun, wenn man beim Tragen ein unangenehmes
Gefühl hat oder die Menstruationstasse undicht ist?
Versuchen Sie zunächst die Menstruationstasse wie oben be-
schrieben zu entfernen und erneut einzusetzen, um sicher zu
gehen, dass der Cup korrekt sitzt. Ein eingeschränkter Trage-
komfort kann auch damit zusammenhängen, dass die gewähl-
te Cup-Größe für Sie ungeeignet ist. Die Größenwahl ist z.B.
von der Stärke der Periode, dem Alter, der Beckenbodenmus-
kulatur oder davon, ob Sie bereits vaginal entbunden haben,
abhängig. Wenn Sie das Gefühl haben, dass die Zuglasche
zu lange bzw. störend ist, können Sie eines der Herzen ab-
schneiden (d).
7. Sicherheitshinweise
Achten Sie beim Einführen und Entnehmen der Menstru-
ationstasse auf hygienische Bedingungen (z.B. Hände
waschen).
Sollten Sie Schmerzen oder ein unangenehmes Gefühl
verspüren, wenn Sie die ELANEE Menstruationstasse
tragen, überprüfen Sie, ob diese richtig sitzt und entfernen
Sie sie bei anhaltenden Beschwerden.
Tragen Sie die Menstruationstasse nicht länger als 8 Stun-
den am Stück.

Die ELANEE Menstruationstasse ist kein Verhütungsmittel.
Wenn Sie zur Verhütung ein Intrauterinpessar (Spirale) oder
einen Vaginalring verwenden, fragen Sie vor der Verwen-
dung der ELANEE Menstruationstasse Ihren Gynäkologen.
Entfernen Sie die ELANEE Menstruationstasse vor dem
Geschlechtsverkehr.
Die ELANEE Menstruationstasse schützt nicht vor sexuell
übertragbaren Krankheiten.
Die Verwendung der ELANEE Menstruationstasse kann
möglicherweise zur Verletzung des Jungfernhäutchens
führen.
Verwenden Sie die ELANEE Menstruationstasse im An-
schluss an eine Geburt, Operation, Fehlgeburt oder einen
Schwangerschaftsabbruch erst nach Absprache mit Ihrem
Gynäkologen.
Verwenden Sie die ELANEE Menstruationstasse nicht,
wenn Sie an einer vaginalen Infektion leiden.
Bei bekannter Überempndlichkeit oder Allergien gegen
das Material sollte von der Anwendung abgesehen wer-
den bzw. diese nur in Absprache mit Ihrem Gynäkologen
erfolgen.
Sollten Sie die Menstruationstasse nicht mehr selbst ent-
fernen können, suchen Sie Ihren Gynäkologen auf.

Wichtige Informationen über das toxische Schocksyn-
drom (TSS)
TSS ist eine seltene, aber schwere und bisweilen tödliche
Krankheit, die im Zusammenhang mit der Verwendung von
Menstruationstassen auftreten kann.
Symptome von TSS: Die Symptome können plötzlich einset-
zen und ähneln dieser einer Grippe. Dazu gehören plötzliches
Fieber (39 °C oder höher) sowie Erbrechen, Durchfall, Ohn-
macht, Schwindel oder ein Hautausschlag.
Maßnahmen bei Verdacht auf TSS: Sollten Sie eines dieser
Symptome während oder kurz nach der Menstruation aufzei-
gen, entfernen Sie sofort die Menstruationstasse und suchen
umgehend einen Arzt auf. Eine frühe Erkennung und Behand-
lung ist sehr wichtig und kann eine schwere Erkrankung verhin-
dern. Sagen Sie Ihrem Arzt unbedingt, dass Sie Ihre Periode
haben und eine Menstruationstasse benutzt haben.
Risikogruppen: TSS kann bei allen menstruierenden Frauen
auftreten, die Menstruationstassen verwenden. Frauen unter
30 haben ein erhöhtes Risiko. Bei Fragen zu TSS wenden Sie
sich bitte an Ihren Gynäkologen.
8. Aufbewahrung, Haltbarkeit, Lagerung und Transport
Zur Aufbewahrung und zum Transport legen Sie die saubere und
trockene Menstruationstasse in den beigelegten Baumwollbeutel.
Es wird empfohlen, die Menstruationstasse bei normalem Ge-
brauch und bei Einhaltung der angegebenen Reinigungshin-

weise nach einer max. Nutzungsdauer von 5 Jahren durch eine
neue zu ersetzen.
9. Reinigungs- und Entsorgungshinweise
Vor dem ersten Gebrauch und nach jeder Periode: Ko-
chen Sie die ELANEE Menstruationstasse in einem Topf für 3
Minuten im Wasserbad.
Während der Periode: Reinigen Sie die Menstruationstasse
nach dem Entleeren gründlich mit einer milden Seife und spü-
len Sie sie unter ießendem Wasser ab. Haben Sie nicht die
Möglichkeit den Cup abzuspülen (z.B. auf einer öffentlichen
Toilette), können Sie ihn alternativ mit Toilettenpapier bzw.
einem Taschentuch auswischen und bei der nächsten Gele-
genheit gründlich reinigen.
Die Menstruationstasse kann im handelsüblichen Hausmüll
entsorgt werden. Die einzelnen Bestandteile der Verpackung
bitte sortenrein trennen und dem entsprechenden Recy-
cling-System zuführen. Bitte beachten Sie die regionalen Ent-
sorgungsrichtlinien.
10. Materialzusammensetzung
100 % medizinisch zugelassenes TPE
Die ELANEE Menstruationstasse ist tierversuchsfrei und frei
von tierischen Inhaltsstoffen.

use should help you to get the best use out of your product.
Please read the instruction manual carefully - particularly the
“Usage and safety instructions” - before using this product for

3. Purpose and intended use
The ELANEE Menstrual Cup offers safe and discrete protection
during menstruation and is a reusable alternative to tampons
and pads.
4. Areas of application
Because it is so comfortable to wear, the ELANEE Menstrual
Cup can be used during the day as well as when sleeping and
also for sports, when swimming or going to the sauna. The spe-
cial feature of the ELANEE Menstrual Cup: it can be removed
easily and hygienically using the unique pull tab or, alterna-
tively, it can be removed like you would remove a standard cup.
The ELANEE Menstrual Cup is suitable for use by women from
the rst to the very last period and is available in two sizes:
Size 1: light to normal periods
Diameter: 40 mm, capacity: 23 ml
Size 2: heavy periods
Diameter: 45 mm, capacity: 33 ml
5. Functionality
The ELANEE Menstrual Cup is inserted into the vagina to col-

lect the menstrual secretion. The cup, which is folded to insert,
then unfolds in the vagina and, thanks to the exible material
it sits against the vaginal wall in such a way that the menstrual
blood cannot ow past. Removal is made easier by a special
mechanism: the heart-shaped grip of the pull tab, which is con-
nected to the edge of the cup, needs to be pulled. Through the
tensile force, the upper edge of the cup releases from the vagi-
nal wall so that the cup can be easily pulled out of the vagina.
Alternatively, the ELANEE Menstrual Cup can also be removed
just like standard menstrual cups.
6. Usage
Before each use, check the menstrual cup for damage.
How do you insert the ELANEE Menstrual Cup?
Wash your hands thoroughly before inserting the menstrual
cup.
• Fold the cup either into a C-shape (a) or a
mussel-shape (b) and when doing this, make
sure that the side with the pull tab is pushed
towards the middle. Hold the folded cup rmly
with your thumb on one side and index and
middle nger on the other side as low down
as possible.
• Try out different positions to see which will
be the most comfortable for you to insert the
cup: standing or squatting, with one leg raised b

or sitting on the toilet. Relax your vaginal mus-
cles and part your labia with your free hand.
Insert the folded menstrual cup into the vagi-
na in the direction of your coccyx until the grip
area is approximately 2 cm above your vaginal
opening. The menstrual cup will open before
it is fully inserted and will sit at the lower end of the vagina (c).
• In order to check whether the menstrual cup is in the correct
position, hold the cup by the lower part (not on the grip) and ro-
tate the cup half a turn in any direction. If the menstrual cup can
be rotated easily, this tells you that it has fully
opened.
If you get the feeling that the pull tab is too
long, or is annoying, you can cut off one of
the hearts (d).
How do you remove the ELANEE Menstrual Cup?
Depending on how heavy your period is, you should empty the
menstrual cup several times a day to make sure it doesn’t over-
ow. We recommend removing the cup and cleaning it after a
maximum of 8 hours.
Wash your hands thoroughly and make sure you are in a com-
fortable position before removing the mens-
trual cup.

heart on the pull tab with your thumb and index finger and pull
carefully (e).
•Pull the cup downwards using the pull tab until it is positioned
loosely in your vagina.
•Let go of the heart and hold the cup by the grip area to pull it
out of your vagina.
Option 2
You can also remove the ELANEE Menstrual Cup just like any
standard menstrual cup:
•Relax your vaginal muscles and gently pull on the grip area
until you can get hold of the lower part of the cup.
•Press it together and pull the cup out of your vagina.
Alternatively you can slide two ngers between the vaginal wall
and the menstrual cup and then pull it out.
Use the markings on the inside of the cup to read off the volume:
•Size 1: 10 ml and 20 ml
•Size 2: 15 ml and 25 ml
Empty the contents into the toilet. Clean the menstrual cup as
described in Point 9 and re-insert it.
What should you do if you feel uncomfortable when you are
wearing the ELANEE Menstrual Cup or when it is leaking?
First try to remove the menstrual cup as described above
and put it back in, just to be sure that the cup is in the correct

position. If it doesn’t feel comfortable, then this may be because
the selected cup size is not the right one for you. Choosing the
right size depends on how heavy your period is, your age, your
pelvic oor muscles or whether you have given birth with a va-
ginal delivery. If you get the feeling that the pull tab is too long,
or is annoying, you can cut off one of the hearts (d).
7. Safety instructions
When inserting and removing the menstrual cup make sure
you observe hygiene conditions (e.g. washing your hands).
If you feel pain or experience an unpleasant sensation
when you are wearing the ELANEE Menstrual Cup, check
whether it is in the correct position and remove it if the
symptoms persist.
Do not wear the menstrual cup for longer than 8 hours in
one go.
The ELANEE Menstrual Cup is not to be used as a contra-
ceptive.
If you are using an intrauterine device (coil) or a vaginal
ring for contraception, consult your gynaecologist before
using the ELANEE Menstrual Cup.
Remove the ELANEE Menstrual Cup before sexual inter-
course.
The ELANEE Menstrual Cup does not provide any protec-
tion against sexually transmitted diseases.

Using the ELANEE Menstrual Cup can possibly lead to
damage to the hymen.
Only use the ELANEE Menstrual Cup following a birth,
operation, miscarriage or a termination after consultation
with your gynaecologist.
Do not use the ELANEE Menstrual Cup if you are suffering
from a vaginal infection.
If an over-sensitivity or allergies to the material named is
known, the product should not be used or only used after
consultation with your gynaecologist.
If you are not able to remove the menstrual cup yourself,
please consult your gynaecologist.
Important information about Toxic Shock Syndrome (TSS)
TSS is a rare but serious and sometimes fatal illness, which
can occur when using menstrual cups.
Symptoms of TSS: The symptoms can appear suddenly and
are similar to those of u. These include sudden fever (39 °C
or above) as well as vomiting, diarrhoea, fainting, dizziness or
a skin rash.
Actions to take for suspected TSS: Should you experience
one of these symptoms during or shortly after menstruation,
remove the menstrual cup immediately and consult a doctor
straight away. Early detection and treatment is very important
and can prevent serious illness. It is essential that you tell

your doctor that you are having your period and have used a
menstrual cup.
Risk groups: TSS can occur in all menstruating women using a
menstrual cup. Women under 30 have an increased risk. If you
have any questions about TSS please contact your gynaecologist.
8. Safekeeping, service life, storage and transport
To store and transport the cup, place the clean, dry menstrual
cup into the cotton bag provided.
We recommend replacing the menstrual cup with a new one
after a maximum of 5 years, if you use it normally and follow the
cleaning instructions as specied.
9. Cleaning and disposal instructions
Before rst use and after every period: Boil the ELANEE
Menstrual Cup in a pot for 3 minutes, immersed in water.
During your period: After emptying it, clean the menstrual cup
thoroughly with mild soap and rinse it under running water. If
it is not possible to rinse the cup (e.g. when in a public toilet),
then you can wipe it out with toilet paper or a tissue and clean it
properly the next time you have the opportunity.
The menstrual cup can be disposed of along with normal
household waste. Please separate the individual packaging
components and dispose of them in the relevant recycling
system. Please be aware of regional disposal guidelines.
