INTRODUCTION
Congratulations,youhavejustpurchasedoneofthemostinnovativeandreliableRJ45toDMX,
KlingNet™,ArtNet™,andsACNinterfaceonthemarkettoday!Thedevicehasbeendesignedto
perform reliably for years when the guidelines in this booklet are followed. Please read and
understand the instructions in this manual carefully and thoroughly before attempting to
operatethisunit.Theseinstructionscontainimportantinformationregardingsafetyduringuse
andmaintenance. 
UNPACKING
Everydevicehasbeenthoroughlytestedandhasbeenshippedinperfectoperatingcondition.
Carefullychecktheshippingcartonfordamagethatmayhaveoccurredduringshipping.Ifthe
carton appears to be damaged, carefully inspect your unit for damage and be sure all
accessories necessary to operate the unit havearrived intact. In the event damage has been

andaccompanyareturnauthorization(R.A.)number.TheR.A.numbermustbeclearlywrittenon
theoutsideofthereturnpackage.Abrief description of the problem as well as the R.A.
number must also be written down on a pieceofpaperandincludedintheshippingcontainer.
Iftheunitisunder warranty,youmustprovideacopyofyourproofofpurchaseinvoice.Items
returnedwithoutaR.A.numberclearlymarkedontheoutsideofthepackagewillberefused

LIMITEDWARRANTY
A. Elation Professional® hereby warrants, to the original purchaser, Elation Professional® products to be free of
manufacturing defects inmaterial and workmanship for a period of two years (730 days), and Elation Professional®
product rechargeable batteries to be free of manufacturing defectsin material and workmanship for a period of six
months (180 days), from the original date of purchase. This warranty excludes discharge lamps and all product
accessories.ThiswarrantyshallbevalidonlyiftheproductispurchasedwithintheUnitedStatesofAmerica,including
possessionsandterritories.Itis theowner’s responsibilityto establishthe dateand placeofpurchaseby acceptable
evidence,atthetimeserviceissought.
B. For warranty service, send the product only to the Elation Professional® factory. All shipping charges must be
prepaid.Iftherequestedrepairsorservice(includingpartsreplacement)arewithinthetermsofthiswarranty,Elation
Professional®willpayreturnshippingchargesonlytoadesignatedpointwithintheUnitedStates.Ifanyproductissent,
itmustbeshippedinitsoriginalpackageandpackagingmaterial.Noaccessoriesshouldbeshippedwiththeproduct.If
anyaccessoriesareshippedwiththeproduct,ElationProfessional®shallhavenoliabilitywhatsoeverforlossand/oror
damagetoanysuchaccessories,norforthesafereturnthereof.
C. Thiswarrantyisvoidiftheproductserialnumberand/orlabelsarealteredorremoved;iftheproductismodified
in any manner which Elation Professional® concludes, after inspection, affectsthereliabilityoftheproduct;ifthe
product has been repaired or serviced by anyone other than the Elation Professional® factory unless prior written
authorization was issued to purchaser by Elation Professional®; if the product is damaged because not properly
maintainedassetforthintheproductinstructions,guidelinesand/orusermanual.
D. Thisisnotaservicecontract,andthiswarrantydoesnotincludeanymaintenance,cleaningorperiodiccheckup.
Duringtheperiodsasspecifiedabove,ElationProfessional®willreplacedefectivepartsatitsexpense,andwillabsorb
allexpensesforwarrantyserviceandrepairlaborbyreasonofdefectsinmaterialorworkmanship.Thesole
responsibilityofElationProfessional®underthiswarrantyshallbelimitedtotherepairoftheproduct,orreplacement
thereof, including parts, at the sole discretion of Elation Professional®. All products covered by this warranty were
manufacturedafterJanuary1,1990,andbareidentifyingmarkstothateffect.
E. Elation Professional® reserves the right to make changes in design and/or performance improvements upon its
productswithoutanyobligationtoincludethesechangesinanyproductstheretoforemanufactured.
F. No warranty, whether expressed or implied, is given or made with respect to any accessory supplied with the
products described above. Except to the extent prohibited by applicable law, all impliedwarranties made by Elation
Professional®inconnectionwiththisproduct,includingwarrantiesofmerchantabilityorfitness,arelimitedinduration
to the warranty periods set forth above. And no warranties, whether expressed or implied, including warranties of
merchantabilityorfitness, shallapplytothisproductaftersaid periodshaveexpired.Theconsumer’sand/ordealer’s
sole remedy shall be such repair or replacement as is expressly provided above; and under no circumstances shall
ElationProfessional®beliableforanylossand/ordamage,directand/orconsequential,arisingoutoftheuseof,and/or
theinabilitytouse,thisproduct.
G. This warranty is the only written warranty applicable to Elation Professional® products and supersedes all prior
warrantiesandwrittendescriptionsofwarrantytermsandconditionsheretoforepublished.

A qualified electrician should be used for all
electricalconnectionsand/orinstallations.

CAUTIONS
Foraddedprotection,mountthedeviceinareasoutsidewalkingpaths,seatingareas,orin
areaswereunauthorizedpersonnelmightreachthefixture.
Beforemountingthedevicetoanysurface,makesuretheinstallationareacanholdaminimum
pointloadof10timestheweightofthefixture.
Deviceinstallationmustalwaysbesecuredwithasecondarysafetyattachment,suchasan
appropriatesafetycable.
Neverstanddirectlybelowthedevicewhenmounting,removingorservicing.
Theapplicableoperatingtemperatureforthedeviceisbetween14°Fto113°F(10°C45°C).Do
notusethedeviceunderorabovethistemperaturerange.

SYSTEMMENU
Thedevicehasaneasytonavigatesystemmenu.Thenextsectionwilldetailthefunctionsofeach
commandinthesystemmenu.

LCDMENUCONTROLPANEL
The control panel (see image below) located on the front of the device allowsyoutoaccessthe
mainmenuandmakeallnecessaryadjustmentstothedevice.Duringnormaloperation,pressing
theMODEbuttonwillscrollthroughthedifferentmenus.Oncethedesiredmenuhasbeenselected,
press the SETUPbutton to activate the menu item and submenus. Once you reach a field that
requiresadjusting,presstheUPandDOWNbuttonstoadjustthefield.Youmayexitamenuatany
timewithoutmakinganyadjustmentsbypressingtheMODEbutton.
NOTE: The LCD Menu Control Display willlockout after 30 seconds of no use. Pressand hold the
MODEbuttonfor3secondstounlocktheLCDdisplay.








