calls are indicated in the display and by the ash-
ing red control light at the top.
In addition to the telephone numbers, the display
also shows a series of messages or icons:
UNKNOWN – the call is a long-distance call or
from a private extension system (no data received)

9 EMERGENCY CALL FUNCTION
This function establishes an immediate connec-
tion to the stored emergency call numbers (stored
under the direct dial keys (photo keys)).
This function is only active when the phone is con-
nected to a power supply or the backup batteries
are inserted.
When the “Silent emergency call” function is ac-
tive, only the control lamp ashes, the call is only
heard by the recipient, and neither an announce-
ment nor a ring tone are audible (see also “Silent
emergency call”).
The message recorded under Record help mes-
sage (M10) is played. If you have not recorded
your own message, the default message will be
played.
Example of a help message: “This is an emergen-
cy call, please press 5 to accept the call.”
9.1 Triggering an emergency call
with a call transmitter
1. Press and hold the Transmit button on the
wristband transmitter for longer than 1 second.
The emergency call is sent and the red LED on
the wristband transmitter lights up. The phone
beeps loudly for around 15 seconds.
In the event of an incorrectly triggered emer-
gency call, this function can be deactivated
by pressing and holding the SOS key on the
phone for longer than 3 seconds. If the function
is not stopped, the display shows the <<-•>>
symbol and the programmed sequence starts.
2. The phone automatically dials the rst emer-
gency number (stored on the direct dial keys
(photo keys)). The “Emergency message” is
played continuously via the speakerphone
function. If the called party accepts the call
within 60 seconds and presses the 5number
key, the phone switches to speakerphone func-
tion. If the called party is conrmed by pressing
the 1number key and then 2, the emergency
call function is stopped. If the recipient does
not press the 5number key within 60 seconds,
the next emergency number is dialled.
3. If the three stored emergency numbers have
been called and none of the recipients has
conrmed the call by pressing the 5key within
60 seconds, the emergency call function ends.
Note:
1. If no emergency numbers are stored, the
phone will only beep loudly when the direct dial
keys or the call transmitter are pressed, rather
than dialling a number.
2. The call transmitter must be within the range
of the phone for the emergency call to be trig-
gered. Make sure that there are no barriers
such as thick concrete walls or similar between
the call transmitter and the phone.
3. As long as the red button on the call transmitter
is pressed, the transmitter LED should light up.
If the LED ashes or no longer lights up at all,
change the battery.
4. To stop the emergency call function, press and
hold the SOS key on the phone for longer than
3 seconds. This function is also stopped by
lifting the receiver or pressing the key, and
the <<•>> symbol will no longer be shown on
the display.
5. The emergency call function stops when all
stored emergency numbers have been called,
or one of the called parties has conrmed with-
in 60 seconds using the 1and 2number keys
after pressing the 5number key.
6. The person called should press the 5, 1, and 2
number keys using the key tone function (stan-
dard function on most telephones).
9.2 Triggering an emergency call with
the SOS key
Press and hold the SOS key on the phone for 1
second. You will hear a warning tone that lasts 15
seconds, and the program will then start the emer-
gency call (see point 9.1).
Make sure that you have programmed corre-
sponding emergency numbers (see “Direct dial
keys (photo keys)”).
To stop the emergency call, press and hold the
SOS key for 3 seconds.
Important note! If you are pressing and holding
the SOS key, the emergency call is triggered af-
ter 1 second. You should then release the key to
activate the emergency call – at the latest when
you hear the warning tone. If you keep the SOS
key pressed, after 3 seconds the emergency call
is stopped again!
