pleasure to use.
Before you use the rangehood, we
recommend that you read through the
relevant sections of this m anual, which
provides a description of your appliance and
its functions.
To avoid the risks that are always present
when you use an appliance, it is important
that the appliance is installed correctly and
that you read the safety instructions
carefully to avoid misuse and hazards.
We recommend that you keep this
instruction booklet for future reference and
pass it on to any future owners.
After unpacking the appliance, please check
it is not damaged. If in doubt, do not use the
appliance but contact your local customer
care centre.

Rangehood Installation
1. Using a sprit level mark a vertical
centre line on the wall where the
hood is to be positioned, and a
horizontal line at the hood base
position.
NOTE: See table below for the minimum
and maximum height of the underside of
the hood.
2. Mark the location for the wall
mounting points and anti-tilt fixing
points as shown in (Fig. B).
3. Install suitable screws for
rangehood mounting points (to
support a total weight of 50kg)
to the wall as marked (Fig. B).

4. Prior to installing the hood into position fix exhaust transition duct using screws
supplied, ensuring the seal is between the rangehood top panel and the base of
the exhaust transition (Fig. C).

If additional or alternative mounting points are required there 4 x M10 threaded mounting
points on the top of the hood as highlighted in the image below.
5. Mounting and securing the transition pieces is shown in Figure C.
! Important note: Pre-formed holes must be used to secure transition piece.
Fitting screws in alternate locations may cause electrical safety risk.
6. Hang hood on the mounting screws, tighten mounting screws then secure at the anti-tilt
locations as indicated in (Fig. B).
7. The canopy rangehood has been supplied with duct transition piece/s, 200mm diameter non-
combustible flue pipe can be used with the transition piece/s. Continue the centre line to the
ceiling. Fit preferred flue pipe to the fan transition duct (Fig. D1 & D2).
Use worm drive clamps, cable ties or suitable duct tape to secure flexible pipe to the transition
duct.
NOTE: We recommend extending flue pipe through the roof to external roof cowl to vent
exhaust externally. We do not recommend venting into ceiling cavity.
NOTE: To ensure optimum performance of the rangehood, the use of rigid ducting is
recommended.
The use of bends should be avoided. Rigid flexible ducting is suitable, although loose flexible
ducting is unacceptable. All ducting must be fire retardant.
Electrical connection
Check that the installation complies with the standards of local building, gas and electrical
authorities. Before connecting to the mains supply ensure that the mains voltage corresponds
to the voltage on the rating plate inside the rangehood.

Using the Rangehood
Control operation

Lock –Press an d ho ld „lock‟ but t o n f or 3 seconds t o lo ck control interface when
cleaning, press and hold for 3 seconds to unlock control interface
Speed 1–suitable for light frying and light barbecuing
Speed 2–suitable for frying, wok cooking and barbecuing
Speed 3–suitable for intensive frying, intensive wok cooking and barbecuing
Speed 4–suitable for very smoky cooking and/ or to clear smoke from an area
that has a build up of smoke
Timer off–At the end of cooking if the timer is activated, the rangehood will
continue to run for an additional 5 minutes to remove any odours that remain at
the completion of cooking. During the 5 minute period the fan speed will
gradually reduce until the canopy turns itself OFF.

previously selected fan sped LED will turn off.
To deactivate the timer, press the timer button again or press a fan speed button
to resume normal operation
Lamp –Press t he „lam p‟ sym b o l t o t u r n t he lam p s ON, Th e first p ress w ill set t he
lamps to maximum intensity. The second press will set the lamps to half
intensity. The third press will turn the lamps OFF.

Maintenance and cleaning
Caution
• Before maintenance or cleaning is carried out, the canopy rangehood should be
disconnected from the main power supply. Ensure that the rangehood is switched
off at the wall socket and the plug removed.
• External & internal surfaces are susceptible to scratches and abrasions, so please
follow the cleaning instructions to ensure the best possible result is achieved
without damage.
Stainless Steel Surface
Clean stainless steel surfaces using non-abrasive cleaning products that are
specifically for use on stainless steel.
To ensure best results also use an even pressure and follow the grain of the stainless
steel. Use of a soft cloth reduces the risk of scratching. If the cloth is wet ensure that
a dry soft cloth is used to wipe down the surface again reducing the risk of any
surface rust appearing.
Control panel surface
Use non-abrasive cleaning products
The control panel can be cleaned using warm soapy water.
Ensure the cloth is well wrung before cleaning. Use a dry soft cloth to remove any
excess moisture left after cleaning.
Cleaning grease filters
The filters can be cleaned either by hand or in the dishwasher. After cleaning ensure
that the filters are completely dry before refitting.
By hand : Soak in warm water and some washing up liquid.
For stubborn grease stains use a soft nylon brush to help remove these stains.
In a dishwasher : Ensure that placement of the filters is made so as to not impede the
function of the dishwasher spray arm. Washing the filters in a dishwasher may cause
discolouration over time although it will not affect their performance. Filters should
be washed separately to crockery and kitchen utensils.
Inner panels and trough
After each use the inner panels and trough should be wiped clean with non-abrasive cleaning
products to prevent excessive build up of oils / grease.
Note: Do not use the range hood without filters installed
