WIRING SAFETY FOR UK USE ONLY
IMPORTANT
As the colours in the
mains lead of this
appliance may not
correspond with the
coloured markings
identifying the terminals
in your plug, please
proceed as follows:
The wires in the mains lead are coloured in
accordance with the following code:
Blue neutral [N] Brown live [L]
Plug Fitting Details (Where Applicable).
The wire coloured blue is the neutral and must be
connected to the terminal marked [N] or coloured
black.
The wire coloured brown is the live wire and
must be connected to the terminal marked [L] or
coloured red.
On no account must either the brown or the blue
wire be connected to the [EARTH] terminal .
Always ensure that the cord grip is fastened
correctly.
The plug must be tted with a fuse of the same
rating already tted and conforming to BS 1362
and be ASTA approved.
If in doubt consult a qualied electrician who will
be pleased to do this for you.
Non-Rewireable Mains Plug
If your appliance is supplied with a non-rewireable
plug tted to the mains lead and should the fuse
need replacing, you must use an ASTA approved
one (conforming to BS 1362 of the same rating).
If in doubt, consult a qualied electrician who will
be pleased to do this for you.
If you need to remove the plug - disconnect it
from the mains - and then cut o the mains lead
and immediately dispose of it safely.
Never attempt to reuse the plug or insert it into a
socket outlet as there is a danger of an electric
shock.
WARNING:
This appliance is double insulated. Do not connect any wire to the earth terminal.

PRODUCT SAFETY
When using any electrical appliance, basic safety precautions should

disconnect, turn the control
to OFF, then remove plug
from wall outlet.
• Avoid contacting with moving

• Keep hands, clothing, as
well as spatulas and other
utensils away from beaters
during operation to reduce
the risk of injury to persons,
and/or damage to the mixer.
• Switch o the appliance
before changing accessories
or approaching parts which
move in use.
• DO NOT continuously operate
the mixer too long. The motor
may overheat. The continuous
operating time must be less than
5 minutes.
• In the unlikely event the
appliance develops a fault,
stop using it immediately and
seek advice from the Customer
Support Team.

BEFORE YOUR FIRST USE:
1. Remove your appliance from the packaging.
2. Before using your appliance for the rst time, wash all parts that will come into contact with
food.
3. Your appliance is now ready for normal use.
Dispose of the packaging in a responsible manner.

USING YOUR APPLIANCE
1. Clean the beaters before rst use.
2. Before assembling the mixer, be sure the
power cord is unplugged from the power
outlet and the speed selector is at the ‘0’
position.
3. Assemble the two beaters into the mixer.
Beaters are used for beating eggs or
similar food.
Note: The beaters can be inserted in either
socket.
4. Plug into the power outlet.
5. Turn the speed selector to your desired
setting, and the appliance will start
working. There are 5 settings to choose
from.
WARNING: Do not put metal utensils into the
bowl when operating.
6. Do not allow the hand mixer to run for
more than three minutes at any one time.
A 10 minute rest time is recommended
between each use.
7. When you have nished using your hand
mixer, turn the speed selector to the 0
position, and unplug the cord from power
outlet.
8. If necessary you can scrape any excess
food particles from the beaters using a
rubber or wooden spatula.
9. To remove the beaters, hold them with
one hand and rmly press down on the
eject button with your other hand.
Note: Remove the beaters only at the 0 setting.
Ensure the power cord is unplugged from the
power outlet before removing the beaters.
Never press the eject button when the
appliance is operating.
COOKERY TIPS
1. Refrigerated ingredients, such as butter
and eggs, should be at room temperature
before mixing begins. Set these
ingredients out ahead of time.
2. To eliminate the possibility of shells or

4. Do not over-beat. Be careful that you only
mix/blend until recommended in your
recipe.

SPEED GUIDE/SPEED MIXING TASKS
Stir
Use when stirring liquid ingredients or when
mixing dry and liquid ingredients together
alternately in a recipe. Use when preparing
packaged instant foods.
Mix
Use when a recipe calls for combining
ingredients together. Use for quick breads or
muns that require a brisk action, just enough
to blend (setting 3 and 4 are same).
Blend
Use when preparing cake mixes or for
directions calling for medium speed. Use to
cream butter and sugar together.
Beat
Use when preparing a frosting from a recipe
or package. Use when whipping cream for
desserts.
Whip
Use to mash potatoes to develop a light and
uy texture. Use when whipping egg whites.
CLEANING AND CARE
• Unplug the appliance and wait it
completely cool down before cleaning.
• Wipe over the outside surface of the unit
with a dampened cloth and polish with a
soft dry cloth.
• Wipe any excess food particles from the
power cord.
• Wash the beaters in warm soapy water
and wipe dry. The beaters may be washed
in the dishwasher.
• When not in use, store the hotplate in a
safe, dry place, out of reach of children.
