High efficiency, miniature dc uninterruptible power supply ideal for use in CCTV,
ccess Control, IT and General Security applications. The device features auto
sensing of the input voltage to provide a matching output voltage which is
protected against overload and short circuit. dditionally the UPS will
automatically switch off after 30s in standby mode if the load is <50m . Intelligent
charging of internal Lithium Polymer 4400m h battery provides backup if an input
failure occurs.

Connect a dc power supply (not supplied) to the UPS12-4400 input ensuring the
voltage is within the unit’s specified range and it is capable of providing sufficient
load current for the output.
The input voltage being applied should be indicated on the device by the LED
status indicators: 5V, 7.5V, 9V or 12V. Simultaneously the LINE indicator will be
illuminated when the input supply is present as well as the CH RG indicator which
flashes when the battery is being charged or is steady if fully charged.
Ensure the LINE indicator is steady and not flashing; if LINE indicator is flashing
press SWITCH for 5 secon s to return it to a steady state to enable the device to
function in its normal operating mode.
To switch the UPS On or Off manually, press SWITCH for 2 secon s and release.
If the voltage output/indication does not automatically correspond with the input
voltage, set the output as follows:
1. Remove input supply – B TT indicator will illuminate
2. Press SWITCH twice in quick succession to cycle through output voltage
options
3. Reconnect input supply when correct input/output voltage is displayed

During normal operation the output voltage will automatically match input
voltage. On loss of input voltage the internal standby battery will supply the load,
only B TT and the voltage indication will be illuminated at this time.
The battery will continue to supply the load until either the input is restored or its
Deep Discharge Protection threshold is reached, whereupon the UPS will
automatically shut down.
The UPS will fully recharge from cut-off in approximately 12 – 16 hours
Should the output be overloaded or become short circuit the UPS will
automatically disconnect the output and illuminate the PROTECT LED.
Remove short/overload and cycle the input to reset the UPS.
Note: The UPS will automatically switch off after 30s in standby mode if the load is
<50m
