ELNA 9900 V.1.40
Copy the six files from the extracted folder (Application) to the root directory (without
creating a new folder) of a PC card or USB memory.
Note: Delete any other files from the PC card or USB memory. Otherwise, it may take one hour or
longer to update the program.
After the files have been copied to the media, safely remove the media from your
computer.
Turn OFF the machine Elna 9900 and insert the PC card or USB memory to the card
slot or USB port of the RCS unit.
Press and hold the Trace button and the left Jog button on the RCS unit
at the same time and turn the power switch ON of the machine.
Keep holding the two buttons for a few seconds, and the blue screen will appear.
When the green line starts to move from the left to the right (leading the black area),
release the two buttons.
The Start/Stop button will become red. Processing (~ 10 minutes)
Note: Do not turn the power switch OFF. Do not remove the PC card or USB memory from the RCS
unit.

When the green line reaches to the right end, the screen will turn dark blue and
“Finish” will be indicated.
The Start/Stop button will become green.
Turn OFF the machine. Take the PC card or USB memory key out of the card slot or
USB port of the machine.
Turn the power switch ON again, and the screen will show V1.40.
Your customized settings will remain unchanged after updating. However, the
settings of “Thread selection” and “Ignore Short Stitches” will be reset as more
options are added by updating.
