operations, always switch off the appliance, unplug the power

cable from the socket and allow the unit to completely cool,
including the lid, the essence container and the steam duct.
Cleaning of the water tank and the middle housing
During normal use of the appliance, due to salts in the water,
scale deposits may form on the heating element and in the steam
duct. These deposits could form fairly quickly according to the
type of water, its hardness and frequency of use of the appliance.
The higher the water hardness, the faster the formation of
deposits. Deposits decrease performance and may impede
normal operation of the appliance. As such decalcify at least
once a week as follows:
1. Remove the Steam outlet and the Tank.
2. Remove the steam chamber cover from its seat by turning it
clockwise.
3. Refill the tank with cold drinking water.
4. Rinse several times, allowing the water to drain from the drain
point on the side of the appliance.
5. Clean the heating unit (supply channel, heating tank and
resistance) located at the centre of the water tank, removing the
calcium deposits.
6. After having removed any residual water, pour about 50ml of a
solution made up of equal parts water and white wine vinegar
into the middle housing steam chamber and wait about 4 hours.
Then gently shake the appliance for a few minutes and remove
any residues of calcium with a cloth. Rinse the middle housing
several times with drinking water, the tank and in particular the
steam duct and the steam chamber. Allow to drain and dry
thoroughly with a soft cloth.
7. Dry the inside, passing a dry cloth gently over the entire
surface of the appliance.
8. Reposition the steam chamber cover in its seat on the inside of
the tank turning it anti-clockwise and re-insert its cover.
9. Reposition the Tank and the Steam outlet.

10. If the appliance is not to be used for a long period, after
cleaning, dry all parts of the unit immediately, then store it in a
dry and protected place.

Clean the outer parts of the appliance using a soft cloth. Do not
use abrasive cleaners, alcohol, solvents or similar products which
