When using any electrical device, basic
precautions should always be adhered
to, including the following:
WARNING: Ultraviolet radiation emitted from this lamp.
Avoid exposure of the eyes and skin to unshielded source of light.
WARNING: The nUVo™ Traveler device is not intended to be
used as a medical device and is not registered as a medical device
under any applicable laws.
WARNING: This product contains chemicals known to the state of
California to cause cancer, birth defects or other reproductive harm.
NOTE:
While not in use, please keep the nUVo™ Traveler device
charged as much as possible.
If the nUVo™ Traveler device is left uncharged for a few days, the
battery may deplete. Please allow 20-30 minutes of charging time
to ensure the device works properly (the device will flash slowly
while charging).
This equipment has been tested and found to comply with the
limits for a Class A digital device, pursuant to part 15 of the FCC
Rules. These limits are designed to provide reasonable protection
against harmful interference when the equipment is operated in a
commercial environment. This equipment generates, uses, and
can radiate radio frequency energy and, if not installed and used
in accordance with the instruction manual, may cause harmful
interference to radio communications. Operation of this equipment
in a residential area is likely to cause harmful interference in which
case the user will be required to correct the interference at his/her
own expense.

1. This nUVo™ Traveler device is not
intended for use by persons (including
children) with reduced physical, sensory
or reasoning capabilities, or lack of
experience and knowledge, unless they
have been given supervision or
instruction concerning use of the device
by a person responsible for their safety.
2. Do not dismantle this device or use
without the UVC bulb module installed.
3. Do not allow nUVo™ Traveler device
to be used as a toy. Close attention is
necessary when used by or near
children. Children should be supervised
to ensure that they do not play with
this device.

4. Use only as described in this
Operating Manual. Do not carry out any
maintenance other than what is shown in
this manual or advised by the Energy
Focus Customer Success Help Line at
1-800-327-7877.
5. Suitable for dry location ONLY.
Do not use nUVo™ Traveler device
outdoors or on wet surfaces and do not
expose to water or rain. nUVo™ Traveler
device is not suitable for use in
bathrooms with showers or bathtubs.
6. Do not handle any part of the plug or
nUVo™ Traveler device with wet hands.
7. Do not operate any nUVo™ Traveler
device with a damaged charging cord or
plug. Discard and replace the cable or
plug if damaged. If the charging cord is
damaged it must be replaced by Energy
Focus, its service agent or a similarly
qualified person in order to avoid
a hazard.

8. If the nUVo™ Traveler device is not
working as it should, has received a
sharp blow, has been dropped,
damaged, left outdoors, or exposed to
water, do not use. Contact the Energy
Focus Customer Success Help Line at
1-800-327-7877.
9. Do not stretch the charging cord or
place the charging cord under strain.
Keep charging cord away from heated
surfaces.
10. Do not unplug by pulling on the
charging cord. To unplug, grasp the
charging plug, not the cord.
11. Do not put any object into openings
or the inlet grill. Do not use with any
opening blocked; keep free of dust, lint,
hair, and anything that may reduce
airflow.
12. Do not use any cleaning agents or
lubricants on this device. Dust with a
clean dry cloth. Unplug before cleaning
or carrying out any maintenance.

13. Turn off all controls before
unplugging. Unplug charging cord from
device when not in use for extended
periods. To avoid a tripping hazard,
safely coil the cord.
14. Do not use near furnaces, fireplaces,
stoves or other high temperature heat
sources.
15. Do not use in conjunction with or
directly next to an air freshener or similar
products. Keep essential oils and
chemicals away from this device.
16. Do not place or drape items on or
over device. Air path through device
should always be kept free of
obstruction.
17. For best results in vehicle use, the
nUVo™ Traveler device should be
installed as centrally in the vehicle as
possible.

18. Do not tamper with safety switches
or open any part of the nUVo™ Traveler
device not intended for regular
maintenance.
19. Care should be taken to avoid
looking directly into fan chamber while
nUVo™ Traveler device is in use.
20. UVC bulb should only be replaced by
a professional. Only replace lamp with
Energy Focus SKU NUVO-TRAV-LAMP.

22. A battery-operated fan with integral
batteries or a separate/detachable
battery pack shall be recharged only with
the specified charger for the battery.
A charger that may be suitable for one
type of battery may create a risk of fire
when used with another battery.

23. Use battery operated fan only with
specifically designated battery pack. Use
of any other batteries may create a risk
of fire.
24. When battery pack is not in use,
keep it away from other metal objects
such as paper clips, coins, keys, nails,
screws, or other small metal objects that
can make a connection from one
terminal to another. Shorting the battery
terminals together may cause sparks,
burns, or a fire.
25. Do not incinerate this fan, even if it is
severely damaged. The batteries can
explode in a fire.
26. Do not store or charge this device in
conditions below 40°F or above 110°F
(4°C and 43°C). Do not operate this
device in conditions below 0°F or above
110°F (-17°C and 43°C). Charging or
operating outside these ranges may
cause permanent damage.

DISPOSAL INSTRUCTIONS

WITH LOCAL DISPOSAL LAWS
When discarding the unit, comply with
local rules and regulations. Batteries
should never be thrown away with
regular garbage or incinerated. Batteries
should only be disposed of in
accordance with the local regulations
concerning battery disposal.

GETTING STARTED
CONTROLS
Power Button: Turns the nUVo™
Traveler device on/off with a 3-second
press, and changes between the two
speed modes with a short press.
2 LEDs illuminated: nUVo™ Traveler
device is on low speed
4 LEDs illuminated: nUVo™ Traveler
device is on high speed

Traveler device is fully charged
Power LED flashing slowly: nUVo™

MESH CLEANING
1) Make sure your
nUVo™Traveler
device is unplugged
from its charging
cord. Make sure the
device is powered off
completely.
2) Rotate the mesh
cover clockwise until
it stops rotating.
3) Carefully remove
the mesh cover by
prying up on
the edge.

4) Remove the
plastic mesh from
the device and clean
using a dry cloth to
remove any dirt
or dust.
5) Replace the
plastic mesh with
the flat edge facing
down and replace
the mesh cover.
Rotate the mesh
cover
counterclockwise
until it stops rotating.
The device is now
ready to use.
