GETTING STARTED

1. Plug the sm allend ofthe 12V
DC adapterinto the re c e p tacle

2. The tw o -p ro n g e d 12V DC adapter
is then plugged into th e walloutlet.
The batte ry chargercan charge th e handsetand
a spare battery pack atth e sam e time.
The charging unit has spare battery charging slot
behind th e handsetcharg ing slot.
1. To charge the handset,simply p lace th e
handset,with battery pack attached,into
th e charging slotwith the handsetfacing
th e fro n t ofthe charger. Ifth e handsetis
properly in the cradle,the cradle's

Hydride (N i-M H ) batte ry packs. Each batte ry provides up to th r e
hours ofta lk-time,based on range,terra in and environm ental
conditions,orup to 40 hours ofstandby time.These high
perform ance battery p acks have an average life sp a n ofabout
300 charges (a charge is defined as going fro m em pty to fu lly
charged). Additionalorreplacem entnew SN-920 ULTRA battery
packs are available as p a rt num ber:SN -920 ULTRA-BA.

simultaneously holding down the intercom and vo lum e keys for
three seconds.There are no active b ase unitke ys o nce this m ode
has been entered. The IN USE and POW ER LED s are illum inated.
The IN USE LED willcom e on and stay active forapproximately
30 seconds and then tu rn o ff.
The handsetoperates in one offive differentm od es: IDLE,
MENU,TA LK ,REG ISTRATION and CRADLE.
