For your safety and to obtain the most benefit and life from the
Jordy CCTV Docking Stand, please read these safety precautions
very carefully.
The Jordy Docking Stand is designed to enlarge and enhance
images in order to improve the quality of life for people who are
visually impaired. The extent to which this product can improve the
ability to see images depends on a person’s individual condition
and level of visual impairment.
The Jordy Docking Stand is not designed to restore vision,
correct eye conditions or halt degenerative vision loss. An eye-
care professional can determine the usefulness and suitability of
this CCTV system for a patient’s individual condition. Please
follow these safety precautions:
Use the Jordy Docking Stand on a stable, level surface such as
a solid desk or table, according to its intended design
specifications.
Avoid placing the Jordy Stand on an unstable table, cart
or stand. It may fall causing serious damage to the unit or
bodily injury to the user.
Use the Jordy Stand indoors only –it should NOT be exposed to
extreme or rapid changes in temperature or humidity. Do not
place the Jordy Stand near a radiator, heater or areas exposed
to long hours of direct sunlight.
Always place the power cord away from traffic areas to avoid
damage of power supply.
Prevent the risk of electrical shock by NOT attempting to
disassemble the unit. Please refer all service to an
authorized repair facility.

Use caution if you are repositioning the Jordy Docking
Stand a short distance across a desk or table. Make sure
you do not pull on any power cords or connector cables.
Caring for the Jordy Docking Stand
Always turn the power OFF on the Jordy Stand when the
system is not in use.
Always turn the power OFF before cleaning the Docking
Stand.
Clean the both Docking Stand and Jordy Head Unit with a
soft dry cloth or an electrostatic dusting cloth. DO NOT
use liquid cleaners on its plastic surfaces.
Clean the both these lens glass as needed with the lens
cloth provided within the original Jordy Headset
accessories.

6 Important Safety Precautions

Follow all warnings, cautions, and instructions marked on the
product.
The attached power cord is a disconnect device for electrical
equipment. The socket-outlet should be installed near the
equipment and be easily accessible.
This product is equipped with a 3-wire grounding type plug as a
safety feature. This plug has a third (grounding) pin and can
only be plugged into a grounding-type power outlet. If
necessary, contact an electrician to replace your power outlet
with a grounding-type power outlet.
Do not use the Jordy Stand in, near or around water. The
Docking Stand is not designed to offer protection against
contact with liquids of any kind.
Do not use the Docking Stand near flammable liquids.
At least once per week, clean the Jordy Stand with a soft dry
cloth or an electrostatic dusting cloth. DO NOT use liquid
cleaners on its plastic surfaces. No additional methods of
sterilization or cleaning are recommended or required.

Susceptibility to Interference
There may be temporary degradation of the image when the
Jordy Docking Stand is subjected to a strong radio frequency
field, electro-static discharge or transient electrical noise. An
electro-static discharge (caused by static electricity) may cause
the screen to go blank. If this happens, switch the unit off and on
again.

This product contains moving
parts. Please use caution
when moving the adjustable
slide arm or when transporting
the Docking Stand to avoid
possible injury to hands and
fingers.
To avoid personal injury or damage to the Jordy Docking Stand
or connected peripherals, always disconnect and remove your
Jordy Head unit and other cables from the Docking Stand.
Remove all remaining wire and cable connections from the rear
panel and control console.
Always carry the Docking Stand by the carrying handle shown in
the picture above (Never drag or slide it).

3. Connect the AC power
Connect the attached power cord to an
available wall outlet (Figure 1).
Then connect the Ac power adapter shown in
Figure 2. The Power Supply will then Glow
Green to indicate that a secure connection
has been made.
To offer additional protection during an
electrical storm, a surge protector may also
be used and is recommended.
Then connect the adapter to the rear of the
Jordy Stand as is shown in Figure 3.
Stand setup is now complete and is ready to
power on.

CONNECTING AND USING THE JORDY STAND
In order to utilize the Jordy CCTV Docking stand you must first connect
your Jordy Control Console to the docking dongle. Please follow the
instructions below.
Locate the insertion guides on the Dongle shown in Figure 1. Then locate the guide
receptacles shown in Figure 2. Line up both and gently slide together until the cable ports,
DC IN and indents are properly aligned and fitted snugly.

With everything positioned as in Figure 3 gently slide the two components together (never
force, bend or push at an angle to avoid damage to your Jordy Head unit and docking
station). When the connection is secure the Dongle and Console should be flush with one
another just like in Figure 4.

Step #1: Ensure that the Jordy Head unit
Reading Lens is flipped open as indicated in
Figure 1. A magnet should hold the lens in
position.

Step #2: Gently place the Jordy Head Unitinto
the indicated receptacle. Jordy should snap into
place and automatically align with the built-in
magnetic docking points. Refer to Figure 2.
Step #3: Take the loose Jordy Console Wire
and place it into the wire cradle which is built
into the Jordy CCTV docking Arm to ensure
that it is securely out of the way while device is
in use. Please refer to Figure 3.

Front Panel Controls
The Jordy CCTV Display monitor has a built in control system into the Front Panel.
Please review the list of these functions below:
#1 Viewing Modes- Cycles through the Jordy Color Pre-Sets just like the Jordy
Color Mode Button on the control console.
#2 Find/Locate button, Magnification Wheel & Lights Button- Pressing this button
engages the Find/Locate Feature. Pressing it again returns to your previous zoom
level. Pressing and Holding the button for more than 5 seconds will turn the CCTV
Lights On and Off. Turning the zoom wheel will increase or decrease the current
Zoom/Magnification Level.
#3 Power Button- When you press this button it turns the Jordy Monitor and Head
Unit On and Off. As long as the Jordy docking stand is connected to 19VDC power
the Jordy Head Unit will be charging when the dongle is connected.

Control Console Controls and Special Features
Control console Functions:
Single Button Functions are engaged whenever you touch any of the Control
Console buttons. These features are functionally similar to when you are
wearing Jordy on your head.
#1 Find Button:
This button is used for locating objects at high levels of
magnification by expanding your Field of View (FOV). Press and hold to expand
your FOV and then Release to return to your previous Zoom Level.
#2 Mode Button:
Press this button to toggle through the various Jordy viewing
modes. Press and hold 2 seconds to restore the full color mode. Press and hold
5 seconds to enter Jordy Menu.
#3 Freeze/Focus Lock:
This button is used to “Freeze” the image that is
currently in display similar to a camera snapshot. Press to toggle between
“Freeze” and “Unfreeze”. Press and hold this button to engage the Focus Lock
feature.
#4 Decrease Zoom:
Pressing Zoom “-“ lowers the magnification one level.
Pressing and holding this button continuously zooms out to Minimum.
#5 Increase Zoom:
Pressing Zoom “+” raises the magnification one level.
Pressing and holding this button continuously zooms in to Maximum.

Control Console Controls and Special Features
Special Features:
Below is a brief explanation and description of the special features available
when Jordy is connected to the docking station.
#1 Training Mode:
The Training Mode is a special display mode where the video
image is simultaneously displayed on the Jordy Dual Micro Displays and the
Jordy CCTV Docking stand to assist in training for Jordy Users.
This mode is activated by pressing Zoom “–“, Find and Zoom “+” in a sequence
quickly (Not simultaneously)
#2 Video Input Toggle:
The Video Input Toggle allows you to toggle your
display between the connected Jordy CCTV Mode, VGA input (On Rear Of
Monitor), or HDMI Input Dongle (On Rear Of Monitor). This requires you to have
a valid input device such as a computer or DVD player.
This is activated by pressing Zoom “-“ and Zoom “+” simultaneously. This button
combination toggles through a single mode for each combination pressed.
Continue to press this combination 3 times to cycle through each one in the
sequence.

Connecting the HDMI Input Cable
Locate the HDMI Video Dongle in the receptacle on the back of the monitor (Figure
1).
Lift the cable off the hook (Figure 2).
Snugly connect the HDMI dongle to your Video Source so that solid contact has
been made (Figure 3).
You will then need to utilize the key commands Zoom “+” & Zoom “-“. (Video Input
Toggle)

Installing
Console Dongle Height Adjuster
If you are using the Large Battery Control Console model
you will need to install the height adjuster so that the
console rests comfortably on your table or desk and helps
avoid potential damage to the Jordy Dongle Connectors.
With the adjuster in hand place it in the center of the
Docking Dongle as shown in (Figure 4).
Press firmly until the height adjuster is secure (Figure 5).
When you connect the console with the adjuster installed it
will now be properly level with the dongle and table/desk
you are using the Jordy stand on..

Troubleshooting
TROUBLESHOOTING

No power to the unit
• Make sure the power supply from Jordy stand is securely connected to a
working outlet. Reconnect the Jordy Docking Dongle and Control Console.
Press the power button on the Docking Stand Front Panel. Front Panel
LED’s should turn on and Jordy Splash Screen should display.
• Make sure the two parts of the power supply cord are securely connected.
• Double check that the DC 19V IN jack on the back of the Jordy stand is
secure. Visually inspect to ensure the pins are not bent or broken.
• If your Jordy Docking Stand is connected to a power strip/surge protector
ensure that the strip is turned ON.
Video image on LCD is blurry or not clear
• Clean the LCD display and/or camera lens using the included cleaning
cloth.
• Try adjusting the magnification/zoom or distance to your target and
determine if the blurry image has improved.
• Ensure that the focus lock feature is turned OFF and Auto Focus Mode is
ON. (Press and hold the “Freeze” button on the Jordy Control Console.)
• Try selecting different viewing modes to improve image quality.
• Make sure the Jordy Head unit reading lens is open as shown in Figure 1
page 13.
Video image on LCD display is too bright/dark
• The Jordy stand is designed to be used in moderate lighting conditions.
Bright lighting (or direct sunlight) may produce shadows and/or reduce
visibility. Try moving to a more shaded area to improve image quality.
• Try selecting different viewing modes to improve image quality.
• Try turning the Docking Stand Lights ON/Off by pressing and holding the
center find button for 5 seconds to see if this improves your lighting.
