EthernetGatewaySet-Up
Please refer to the following pages for detailed instructions on the correct procedures for setting up the Ethernet
gateway.
Please note the following settings should be used:
Module IP The IP address being allocated to the gateway
Default Gateway IP The default gateway IP address being allocated.
Ifthis is not available (enter zeroes in these fields)
Subnet Mask The desired subnet mask
Socket Timeout 90
Converter Mode 0
Char Timeout 0
Port Number N/A
Server IP N/A
Watchdog Interval 15 Minutes
Baud Rate 4800
Data Bits 8
Stop Bits 1
Parity None
RS232/RS485 RS485
Serial Reply Timeout 25

ENV-908-EG (MMTCPBCONV-220) Personalising Instructions
· These instructions are to configure the network settings.
· Make sure that your p.c. is on the same network as the Ethernet gateway. The Ethernet
gateway’s default i.p. address is http://10.1.2.9 configure your p.c. accordingly.
An example is shown below.

· Once the personalisation is complete you will now have to configure the gateway’s Ethernet set-
tings. Type in the gateway’s i.p. address or press Ctrl and click on the hyperlink below.

· Enter the password abc then click submit.

· The settings page will appear. Please configure the settings in the order as shown.
Remember to click on the submit button to save the changes.

For theEthernet configuration parameters to be saved, the gateway needs to bepowereddown for a
minimum of 10seconds.
·
To log onto the gateway, please make sure that your p.c. has been configured to be on the same
network as the new settings of the gateway. An example is shown below.
