1 Zweckbestimmung
Fußschalter zur Aktivierung der HF-Chirurgiegeräte VIO 50 C
und VIO 100 C.
2 Bestimmungsgemäßer Gebrauch
Dieses Produkt ist ausschließlich zum Anschluss an ein Erbe
VIO 50 C oder Erbe VIO 100 C bestimmt.
Das Produkt ist AP-geschützt.
Das Produkt erfüllt die Anforderungen von IP X8.
WARNUNG!
3 Sicherheitshinweise
Dieses Produkt darf nur von ausgebildetem medizinischen Per-
sonal, das anhand des Verwendungshinweises in dessen Ge-
brauch eingewiesen wurde, verwendet werden.
Dieses Produkt darf nicht in unmittelbarer Nähe von Magnetre-
sonanztomographen (MRI) verwendet werden.
Das Produkt, insbesondere die Isolation des Anschlusskabels, vor
jeder Anwendung auf Beschädigungen prüfen.
Andere Kontrollen, als in diesem Verwendungshinweis beschrie-
ben, müssen nicht durchgeführt werden.

Falls schadhaft, dieses Produkt nicht verwenden!
Niemals auf dem Patienten oder in dessen unmittelbarer Nähe
ablegen!
Schützen Sie das Produkt vor jeglicher mechanischen Beschädi-
gung! Nicht werfen! Keinerlei Gewalt anwenden! Falls vorhan-
den und nicht anders erwähnt, Kabel weder knicken noch um das
zugehörige Produkt wickeln!
Erbe Elektromedizin warnt ausdrücklich davor, das Produkt zu
verändern. Jede Veränderung führt zum Ausschluss der Haftung
durch Erbe Elektromedizin.
4 Anwendungshinweise
4.1 Nur gereinigte und desinfizierte Produkte
verwenden
Produkt vor der ersten Anwendung und vor jeder Wiederanwen-
dung reinigen und desinfizieren.
4.2 Produkt kontrollieren
Das Produkt, insbesondere die Isolation des Anschlusskabels, vor
jeder Anwendung auf Beschädigungen prüfen.
Falls schadhaft, dieses Produkt nicht verwenden!
4.3 Produkt anschließen und aufstellen
Stecken Sie den Fußschalterstecker in die Fußschalterbuchse auf
der Rückseite des Gerätes.
Stellen Sie den Fußschalter auf ebenem Boden kippsicher auf.
Fußschalterkabel nicht über dem Boden aufspannen, sondern
auf dem Boden verlegen (Stolpergefahr).

4.4 Funktionstest durchführen
Führen Sie vor jeder Anwendung einen Funktionstest durch.
4.5 Fußschalterpedale und ihre Funktion
Fußschalter 20188-102:
•blaues Pedal: aktiviert Koagulieren
Fußschalter 20189-107:
•gelbes Pedal: aktiviert Schneiden
•blaues Pedal: aktiviert Koagulieren
5 Reinigen und Desinfizieren
5.1 Sicherheitshinweise
Erbe empfiehlt eine Wisch- oder Sprühdesinfektion mit einem
geeigneten Desinfektionsmittel. Beachten Sie die Angaben des
Desinfektionsmittelherstellers zu Eignung und Konzentration.
Nicht im Tauchbad reinigen/desinfizieren!
Nicht in der Waschmaschine reinigen!
Nicht sterilisieren!
5.2 Wischdesinfektion
Führen Sie unmittelbar nach Gebrauch eine Wischdesinfektion
durch.

6 Entsorgung
Das Produkt, Verpackungsmaterial und Zubehör (wenn vorhan-
den) nach den jeweils geltenden länderspezifischen Vorschriften

These instructions for use do not replace the user manual of the
electrosurgical unit used! Read the user manual of the electro-
surgical unit and ask Erbe or your distributor in case of doubt!
1 Intended use
Footswitch for activation of the electrosurgical units VIO 50 C
and VIO 100 C.
2 Normal use
This product is intended to be connected to an Erbe VIO 50 C or
Erbe VIO 100 C only.
The product is AP protected.
The product satisfies the requirements of IP X8.
WARNING!
3 Safety instructions
This product may be used only by trained medical staff, who
have been shown how to use it according to the instructions for
use.
This product must not be used in the immediate vicinity of mag-
netic resonance tomographs (MRI scanners).
The product, and in particular the connecting cable's insulation,
must be checked for damage before each use.
Checks other than those described in these instructions for use
do not need to be carried out.

If damaged, do not use this product!
Never lay this product on the patient or in his/her direct vicinity.
Protect this product from any form of mechanical damage! Do
not throw! Do not use force! If there is a cable, and unless stated
otherwise, do not kink it or wrap it around the accompanying
product!
Erbe Elektromedizin expressly warns against modifying the
product. Any modification exempts Erbe Elektromedizin from
any and all liability.
4 How to use
4.1 Only use cleaned and disinfected products
Clean and disinfect the product before using it for the first time
and before each subsequent use.
4.2 Checking the product
The product, and in particular the connecting cable's insulation,
must be checked for damage before each use.
If damaged, do not use this product!
4.3 Connecting and setting up the product
Connect the footswitch plug into the footswitch socket on the
rear of the unit.
Place the footswitch on a level floor where it cannot tip over.
Do not allow the footswitch cable to stretch above floor level
(risk of tripping). Instead, lay it on the floor.

4.4 Conducting a performance test
Before every use conduct a performance test.
4.5 Footswitch pedals and their function
Footswitch 20188-102:
•Blue pedal: activates coagulation
Footswitch 20189-107:
•Yellow pedal: activates cutting
•Blue pedal: activates coagulation
5 Cleaning and disinfection
5.1 Safety instructions
Erbe recommends wiping or spray disinfection with an appropri-
ate disinfectant. Comply with the disinfectant manufacturer's
stipulations as to its suitability and concentration.
Do not clean or disinfect in a dipping bath!
Do not clean in the washing machine!
Do not sterilize!
5.2 Wipe disinfection
Perform wipe disinfection immediately after use.
6 Disposal
Dispose of the product, packaging material and accessories (if
available) in accordance with the national guidelines and legis-
lation applicable in each case.

1 Intended Use
Footswitch for activation of the electrosurgical unit VIO 100 C.
2 Normal Use
This product is intended to be connected to an Erbe VIO 100 C
only.
This product is AP1) and IP X82) Equipment.
WARNING!
3 Safety Instructions
This product may only be used by medical personnel who have
been trained per these instructions.
This product must not be used in the vicinity of a Magnetic Res-
onance Imaging (MRI) System.
1.) Category AP Equipment Standard per IEC 60529 and UL 60601-1
Sections 6 (i.e., Protection equipment standard per hazards of igni-
tion of flammable anesthetic mixtures.)
2.) Equipment Standard per IEC 60529 (i.e., Protection equipment stan-
dard per the effects of continuous immersion in water.)

Before each use, check that the footswitch assembly is intact and
that the connecting cable insulation is not damaged. Verify that
there are no signs of physical damage. Check/Verify that the
footswitch functions properly.
Checks other than those described in these instructions for use
do not need to be carried out.
If damaged, do not use this product!

4 How to Use

4.3 Connecting and Setting up the Product
Connect the footswitch cable to the unit by aligning the arrows
that are on the footswitch connector towards the top of the unit
and pushing it into the footswitch socket of the unit until secure.
Set up the footswitch on a level floor where it cannot tip over.
The cable must not be suspended above the floor (danger of tip-
ping) but laid along the floor.
To disconnect the footswitch cable from the unit, pull back the
locking sleeve of the footswitch connector and pull from the
socket.
4.4 Conducting a Performance Test
Before each use, check/verify that the footswitch functions
properly.
4.5 Footswitch Pedals and their Function
Footswitch No. 20188-102:
