Remove the packaging and check the appliance for completeness.
• Read the user manual carefully and keep it for future reference.
• Check whether the voltage of the appliance corresponds to the voltage of the
local mains before using the appliance (underside the kettle & powerbase).
If this is not the case, contact your dealer and stop using the kettle.
• Make sure the appliance is placed on a flat and stable surface, out of reach of
children.
• Do not use the appliance outdoors.
• Keep the appliance away from hot surfaces (like on or near a hot gas or
electric burner or in a heated oven), moisture and sharp edges.
• The appliance is developed for domestic use.
• Do not use the appliance other than its intended use to avoid potential injuries.
• The appliance can be used by children aged over 8 and by individuals with
reduced physical, sensory or mental capacities, or those who lack knowledge
or experience, providing that they are under supervision or have received
instructions on how to use the appliance and understand the hazards involved.
• Children shall not play with the appliance. The appliance must not be
maintained or cleaned by children younger than 8 years and without
supervision.

Important safety instructions
• The appliance must be turned off and the plug must be pulled out of the
socket when cleaning, not in use or if problems occur during brewing.
• Never place the appliance in a room where the temperature can drop to
below 0°C/32°F.
• Check the appliance, cord and plug regularly on any damage.
• Do not use the appliance if the cord, plug or the appliance itself is damaged.
If damaged it must be repaired by the manufacturer, its service agent or
similarly qualified persons in order to avoid hazardous situations.
• This appliance is exclusively designed for domestic use and similar usages.
• The appliance should not be placed in a cabinet when in use.
Product safety
•
Never touch hot surfaces, always use the handles or buttons of the appliance.
• Do not place the kettle in a microwave oven.
• Never use polluted, unsafe, or suspicious water.
• Do not operate the appliance when empty, to avoid damaging the heat
elements.
• While water is boiling, or just after the water has been boiled, avoid
contacting with steam from the spout.
• Always take care to pour boiling water slowly and carefully without tipping
the kettle too fast.
• Be careful of refilling when the kettle is hot.
• The attached base can not be used for other than intended use.
• Do not fill the water tank with water above the “ MAX”-indication (1.0 litres).
• Extreme caution must be used when moving an appliance containing hot
water.
• Unplug the kettle from the outlet when not in use and before cleaning. Allow
the kettle to cool before putting on or taking off parts, and before cleaning the
appliance.
• To disconnect, turn any control to 'off' then remove plug from wall outlet.
• Use the kettle only with the provided powerbase.
• If the kettle is overfilled, boiling water may spill out.
• Always ensure the lid is closed and do not lift it while the water is boiling.
Scalding may occur if the lid is removed during the heating process.

Product overview
1 . Place the powerbase on a flat and stable surface.
2. Open the lid and fill the kettle with fresh cold water.
3 . Place the lid firmly in place.
4 . Put the kettle on the powerbase.
5 . Connect the plug into a socket.
6 . Press down the switch to 'I' position, the indicator will light up.
7 . Wait until the kettle will switch off automatically (the indicator will switch off).
8 . Discard the hot water.
9 . Repeat step 2 till 8.
10 . Wipe the surface with a damp cloth.
11 . The water kettle is now ready for use.
First time use
• To reduce the risk of fire or electrical shock, do not remove any service covers.
• There are no user serviceable parts inside.
• Repairs should be done by qualified personnel only.
• The maximum capacity of the kettle is 1.0 liter.
• The water level should not exceed the 'MAX' mark (see the inside), as water may
spill out of the spout when boiling.
• Too little water (less than 500 ml) will result in inaccurate temperature indication.
The temperature zone indicated in red at the thermometer is ideal for coffee. For
the correct tea temperature please check with your tea specialty store as this may
vary per type of tea.

1 . To fill the kettle, remove it from the powerbase.
2 . Open the lid manually and fill the kettle with the desired amount of water.
3 . Close the lid firmly.
4 . Put the kettle back on the powerbase.
5 . Connect the plug into a socket.
6 . Press down the switch to 'I' position, the indicator will light up. The kettle starts to boil the
water and will switch off automatically (the indicator will be extinguished once the water
has boiled).
7 . Lift the kettle from the powerbase to pour the water.
Boil-dry protection
Should you accidentally let the kettle operate without water, the boil-dry protection will auto-
matically switch off the power. If this happens, allow the kettle to cool down before refilling it
with cold water.
Operation
•Don’t open the lid while the water in the kettle is hot.
•Operate carefully when pouring the water from your kettle as boiling water may
result in scald.
•You can shut off the power by lift up the switch to the 'O' position at any moment
during boiling water. If you want to boil water again, only turn on the switch to
restart the kettle.
•Ensure that the switch is free of obstructions and the lid is firmly closed, the kettle
will not turn off if the switch is constrained or if the lid is open.
•The kettle will not re-boil until the switch is pressed down again.
•The kettle may be stored on the powerbase when not in use.
Cleaning
Wipe the appliance’s exterior surface with a soft, damp cloth or cleaner to remove stains.
Do not use strong detergents or aggressive cleaners.
You can use the commercially available Espressions descaler (EP002) and follow the
instructions on the package of descaler.

Before you return this product under the terms of
this guarantee, please make sure:
•that you have followed the instructions for this
product properly.
•that the power supply to the equipment is wor-
king and that you have plugged in the appliance.
•that the defect is not a result of a faulty fuse.
This ESPRESSIONS kitchen appliance has been made to a very high degree of excellence in quality and
design. However, should there be, within the guarantee period, any defects found in the materials or
in the operation, and if we feel it is appropriate, we will replace the defective parts or effect repairs in
accordance with the terms of guarantee stated below. This 2-year guarantee applies to parts as well as
the costs of labour only in the case of domestic use. Postage costs are not included.
If you wish to make a claim under the terms of this
guarantee, then please:
•Return the product by post or transport services
to the dealer from whom the product was pur-
chased or directly to IT&M.
•Ensure that the product is clean and carefully
and suitably packed for transportation, prefe-
rably in its original packing.
•Enclose information in respect of your contact
details (name, address telephone number) and
where and when the product was purchased,
together with a copy of the receipt.
•Describe the exact nature of the defect.
This guarantee does not cover any other claims
whatsoever, including and without any exception,
any liability for additional, indirect or resulting da-
mage. It also does not cover any costs for modify
cations or repairs carried out by third parties wit-
hout the express permission of IT&M. If any part of
or the whole appliance is replaced, the guarantee
period will not be extended. The original date of
purchase shall still apply as the commencement of
the guarantee period.

Algemene veiligheid
• Verwijder de verpakking en controleer het apparaat op volledigheid.
• Lees de gebruikershandleiding zorgvuldig door en bewaar deze voor toekomstig
gebruik.
• Controleer of het voltage dat wordt aangegeven op het apparaat, overeenkomt
met de plaatselijke netspanning (wisselstroom) voordat u het apparaat aansluit
(onderkant waterkoker & voet). Als dit niet het geval is, neem dan direct contact op
met de klantenservice van IT&M en stop met het gebruik van de waterkoker.
• Zorg dat het apparaat op een vlak en stabiel oppervlak staat en buiten het bereik
van kinderen.
• Gebruik het apparaat niet buitenshuis.
• Plaats het apparaat nooit bij hete oppervlakken (zoals een hete gasvlam, een
elektrische plaat of op een hete oven), in de buurt van vocht of scherpe randen.
• Het apparaat is bedoeld voor huishoudelijk gebruik.
• Gebruik het apparaat niet voor andere doeleinden dan waarvoor het is gemaakt
om kans op verwondingen te voorkomen.
• Dit apparaat is niet geschikt voor gebruik door kinderen -jonger dan 8 jaar- of
onbekwame personen (denk aan verminderde fysieke, sensorische of geestelijke
vermogens of zonder ervaring of kennis) tenzij er toezicht is of tenzij zij voldoende
aanwijzingen hebben gekregen over het gebruik van het apparaat en de eventueel

Speciale veiligheidsmaatregelen
• Dompel het apparaat niet onder in water of een andere vloeistof en/of maak het

Belangrijke veiligheidsinstructies •
Zet het apparaat uit en haal de stekker uit het stopcontact als u er niet mee werkt
of het apparaat gaat schoonmaken, of als er zich problemen voordoen tijdens het
koken.
• Plaats het apparaat nooit in een ruimte waar de temperatuur kan dalen tot onder
0° C / 32° F.
• Controleer het apparaat, het snoer en de stekker regelmatig op beschadigingen.
• Gebruik het apparaat niet als het snoer, de stekker of het apparaat beschadigd is.
Indien beschadigd, moet het worden gerepareerd door de fabrikant, een erkend
onderhoudsmonteur of personen met vergelijkbare kwalificaties om gevaarlijke
situaties te voorkomen.
• Dit apparaat is uitsluitend ontworpen voor huishoudelijk gebruik en soortgelijke
toepassingen.
• Het apparaat mag tijdens gebruik niet in een kast worden geplaatst.
Product veiligheid
• Raak nooit hete oppervlakken aan, gebruik altijd de handgrepen of knoppen van
het apparaat.
• Plaats de waterkoker niet in een magnetron.
• Gebruik nooit vervuild of onveilig water.
• Gebruik het apparaat niet als het leeg is omdat dit de warmte-elementen kan
beschadigen.
• Vermijd contact met stoom uit de schenktuit wanneer het water kookt, of net
nadat het water heeft gekookt.
• Zorg er altijd voor dat u kokend water langzaam en voorzichtig uitschenkt zonder
de waterkoker te snel te kantelen.
• Wees voorzichtig met bijvullen wanneer de waterkoker nog heet is.
• De bevestigde voet kan uitsluitend gebruikt worden voor het beoogde doel en niet
in combinatie met andere apparaten.
• Vul het waterreservoir niet met water boven de 'MAX' -aanduiding (1,0 liter).
• Wees uiterst voorzichtig wanneer u een apparaat dat heet water bevat, verplaatst.
• Haal de waterkoker uit het stopcontact wanneer u hem niet gebruikt en voordat
u het reinigt. Laat de waterkoker altijd afkoelen voordat u onderdelen bevestigt of
losmaakt en voordat u het apparaat schoonmaakt.
• Om de stroom uit te schakelen, zet een willekeurige knop op 'off' en trek
vervolgens de stekker uit het stopcontact.
• Gebruik de waterkoker alleen met de meegeleverde voet.
• Als de waterkoker te vol is, kan kokend water naar buiten stromen.
• Zorg er altijd voor dat het deksel van de waterkoker goed dicht is en til het deksel
niet op terwijl het water kookt. Er is kans op brandwonden als het deksel tijdens
het verhittingsproces er af wordt gehaald.

Verwijder al het verpakkingsmateriaal. Bewaar de verpakking. Als u het verpakkingsmateriaal
wilt weggooien, houdt u zich dan aan de lokale wetgeving.

1 . Plaats de voet op een vlak en stabiel oppervlak.
2 . Open het deksel en vul de waterkoker met vers, koud water.
3 . Zorg dat het deksel stevig vastzit.
4 . Plaats de waterkoker op de voet.
5 . Stop de stekker in een stopcontact.
6 Gebruik de schakelaar om de waterkoker in de 'I' stand te zetten, het indicatielampje
gaat aan.
7 . Wacht tot de waterkoker automatisch wordt uitgeschakeld (het indicatielampje gaat uit).
8 . Gooi het hete water weg.
9 . Herhaal stap 2 tot 8.
10 . Veeg het oppervlak schoon met een vochtige doek.
11 . De waterkoker is nu klaar voor gebruik.
Voor gebruik
• Verwijder geen service covers, maak het apparaat niet open en verwijder geen
onderdelen om het risico op brand of elektrische schokken te verminderen.
• Er bevinden zich geen onderdelen in de waterkoker die door de gebruiker zelf te
repareren zijn.
• Reparaties mogen alleen worden uitgevoerd door erkende / gediplomeerde
onderhoudsmonteurs.
• De maximale capaciteit van de waterkoker is 1.0 liter.
• Het waterniveau mag niet hoger zijn dan het 'MAX'- teken (zie binnenkant ketel),
omdat er tijdens het koken water uit de schenktuit kan stromen.
• Te weinig water (minder dan 500 ml), resulteert in een onnauwkeurige
temperatuurindicatie.
De temperatuurzone in het rood aangegeven op de thermometer is de ideale
schenktemperatuur voor koffie. Voor de juiste schenktemperatuur bij thee
raadpleeg uw speciaalzaak, aangezien dit per theesoort kan verschillen.

1 . Om de waterkoker te vullen, tilt u hem op van de voet.
2 . Open het deksel met de hand en vul de waterkoker met de gewenste hoeveelheid water.
3 . Zorg dat het deksel stevig vastzit.
4 . Plaats de waterkoker terug op de voet.
5 . Stop de stekker in een stopcontact.
6 . Gebruik de schakelaar om de waterkoker in de 'I' stand te zetten, het indicatielampje gaat
nu aan. De waterkoker begint het water te koken en schakelt automatisch uit (het indica-
tielampje gaat uit zodra het water is gekookt).
7 . Til de waterkoker op van de voet om water te schenken.
Droogkookbeveiliging
Mocht u per ongeluk de waterkoker zonder water aanzetten, dan zal de droogkookbeveiliging
automatisch de stroom uitschakelen. Als dit gebeurt, laat de waterkoker dan afkoelen voordat
u hem weer met koud water vult.
Bediening
•Open het deksel niet terwijl het water in de waterkoker heet is.
•Wees heel voorzichtig wanneer u water uit de waterkoker schenkt want kokend
water kan brandwonden veroorzaken.
•U kunt de stroom uitschakelen door op elk willekeurig moment tijdens het water
koken de schakelaar in de 'O' stand te zetten. Als u opnieuw water wilt koken,
hoeft u alleen maar de schakelaar in te drukken om de waterkoker te reactiveren.
•Zorg ervoor dat de schakelaar vrij is van obstakels en dat het deksel stevig vastzit.
De waterkoker zal niet automatisch uitschakelen als de schakelaar door iets wordt
belemmerd of als het deksel nog open is.
•De waterkoker zal het water niet opnieuw koken totdat de schakelaar opnieuw
wordt ingedrukt.
•De waterkoker kan op de voet worden bewaard wanneer de waterkoker niet
wordt gebruikt.
Reiniging
Veeg het buitenoppervlak van het apparaat af met een zachte, vochtige doek om vlekken te
verwijderen.
U kunt in de winkel verkrijgbare Espressions ontkalker (EP002) gebruiken en de instructies
op de verpakking volgen.

•Haal de stekker uit het stopcontact voordat u de waterkoker schoonmaakt.

vloeistoffen ter voorkoming van een elektrische schok,.
•Laat de waterkoker afkoelen voordat u hem schoonmaakt.

•Gebruik geen chemische of schurende schoonmaakmiddelen om de buitenkant
van de waterkoker te reinigen. Dit is om glansverlies en/of krassen te voorkomen.

• Het waterniveau mag niet hoger zijn dan het 'MAX'- teken (zie binnenkant ketel),
omdat er tijdens het koken water uit de schenktuit kan stromen.
• Te weinig water (minder dan 500ml), resulteert in een onnauwkeurige
temperatuurindicatie.

Dit ESPRESSIONS keukenapparaat is van een uitstekende kwaliteit en constructie. Echter, mochten er
zich, tijdens de geldende garantieperiode, gebreken voordoen in de materialen of in de afwerking, dan
zullen wij naar ons oordeel, de defecte onderdelen kosteloos vervangen of repareren volgens onders-
taande garantiebepalingen. Deze 2-jarige garantie geldt voor zowel onderdelen als voor arbeid en
uitsluitend voor huishoudelijk gebruik. Verzendkosten zijn niet inbegrepen.
Garantiebepalingen
Deze garantiebepalingen voorzien in voordelen
naast, en niet ten nadele, van uw wettelijke
rechten. Deze garantie dekt niet de verzend- of
transportkosten van het retourneren van het
apparaat. Deze garantie geldt slechts voor
producten die binnen de Benelux zijn verkocht en
verblijven. De garantie is niet van toepassing op
de stekkers, elektriciteitssnoeren of zekeringen
en ook niet op defecten veroorzaakt door:
•Reguliere slijtage aan het apparaat of onderdelen
door het gebruik.
•Nalatigheid in gebruik of het onderhoud volgens
de gebruiksinstructies.
•Het product aan te sluiten op een elektriciteits-
bron die hiervoor niet geschikt is.
•Beschadiging door foutief gebruik of misbruik
van het product.
•Wanneer veranderingen zijn aangebracht door
anderen dan een door IT&M geautoriseerde
servicedienst.
•Het uit elkaar halen of belemmeren van het
product.
•Diefstal of poging tot diefstal van het product.
•Breuk of defecten veroorzaakt door transport.
Controleer, alvorens een product onder deze
garantievoorwaarden te retourneren, of:
•De instructies van het product goed zijn opge-
volgd.
•De voeding naar het apparaat werkt dan wel
dat het apparaat ingeschakeld is.
•Het defect niet te wijten is aan een defecte
zekering.
Indien u aanspraak wilt maken op deze garantie,
dient u:
•Het product per post of vervoersdienst te
retourneren aan de dealer waar het is gekocht
of rechtstreeks aan IT&M.
•Ervoor zorg dragen dat het product schoon is
en goed en transport zeker verpakt, bij voorkeur
in de originele verpakking.
•Informatie in te sluiten met uw contactgegevens
(naam, adres, telefoonnummer) en waar en
wanneer het product is aangeschaft, samen met
een kopie aankoopbewijs.
•De exacte aard van het defect aan te geven.
Deze garantie dekt geen andere claims welke
dan ook, inclusief en zonder uitzondering, enige
aansprakelijkheid voor bijkomend, indirect of
voortvloeiende schade. Zoals het ook niet de
kosten dekt voor het wijzigen of repareren door
een derde zonder toestemming van IT&M. Indien
onderdelen of het gehele apparaat zijn vervangen,
zal dit de garantieperiode niet verlengen. De
originele aankoopdatum geldt als aanvang
garantieperiode.

• Enlevez l’emballage et vérifiez si l’appareil est complet.
• Lisez soigneusement la notice d’utilisation et conservez-la pour pouvoir la consulter
dans le futur.
• Assurez-vous que le voltage indiqué sur l’appareil corresponde à la tension secteur
locale (courant alternatif) avant de brancher l’appareil à l’alimentation électrique (la
partie inférieure de la bouilloire & base électrique). Si ce n’est pas le cas, contactez
immédiatement le service clientèle de IT&M et arrêtez d’utiliser la bouilloire.
• Veillez à ce que l’appareil se trouve sur une surface plate et stable et hors de portée des
enfants.
• N’utilisez pas l’appareil à l’extérieur.
• Ne posez jamais l’appareil à proximité de surfaces chaudes (comme par exemple du feu
de gaz, une plaque électrique ou sur un four chaud), d’humidité ou d’arêtes vives.
• L’appareil est pour usage domestique.
• Afin d’éviter des blessures n’utilisez pas l’appareil pour un autre usage que celui prévu.
• Cet appareil n’est pas prévu pour être utilisé par des enfants - ayant moins de 8 ans -
ou des personnes incapables (pensez à des capacités physiques, sensorielles ou
mentales réduites ou à des personnes dénuées d’expérience ou de connaissance) sauf

Sécurité du produit
• Ne touchez jamais aux surfaces chaudes, servez-vous toujours des poignées ou des

• N’utilisez pas l’appareil s’il est vide, vous risquez d’endommager les éléments

• Évitez tout contact avec la vapeur sortant du bec verseur si l’eau bout, ou si l’eau vient
de bouillir.
• EVeillez toujours à verser l’eau bouillante lentement et avec précaution sans basculer la
bouilloire d’un mouvement brusque.
• Soyez prudent en remplissant la bouilloire s’il est encore chaud.
• Le base électrique est uniquement pour l’usage prévu et ne peut pas être utilisé en
combinaison avec d’autres appareils.
• Veillez à ne pas dépasser le niveau 'MAX' (1,0 litre) en remplissant le réservoir d’eau.
• Soyez extrêmement prudent si vous déplacez un appareil contenant de l’eau chaude.
• Débranchez la bouilloire de l’alimentation électrique si vous ne l’utilisez pas et avant de
le nettoyer. Laissez toujours refroidir la bouilloire avant de monter ou démonter des
pièces et avant de nettoyer l’appareil.
• Pour éteindre l’appareil, mettez un bouton quelconque en position 'off' et débranchez
l’appareil de l’alimentation électrique.
• Utilisez la bouilloire uniquement avec le base électrique livré.
• Si la bouilloire est remplie de trop d’eau, elle peut déborder.
• Veillez toujours à ce que le couvercle de la bouilloire soit convenablement fermé et ne
soulevez pas le couvercle tandis que l’eau bout. Si vous soulevez le couvercle pendant le
processus de chauffage il y a le risque de brûlures.

Enlevez tous les matériaux d’emballage. Conservez-les. Si vous préférez jeter les matériaux
d’emballage, veuillez respecter la législation locale.

Aperçu du produit
1 . Placez le base électrique sur une surface plate et stable.
2 . Ouvrez le couvercle et remplissez la bouilloire d’eau fraîche, froide.
3. Veillez à ce que le couvercle soit bien fermé.
4. Placez la bouilloire sur le base électrique
5. Branchez l’appareil à l’alimentation électrique
6. Servez-vous de l’interrupteur pour mettre la bouilloire en position 'l', le voyant s’allume.
7. Attendez que la bouilloire s’arrête automatiquement (le voyant s’éteint).
8. Jetez l’eau chaude dans l’évier
9. Répétez les étapes 2 à 8.
10. Essuyez la surface à l’aide d’un chiffon humide.
11. La bouilloire est prête à être utilisée.
Avant la première utilisation
• N’enlevez pas les service covers, n’ouvrez pas l’appareil et n’enlevez pas de pièces,
ceci pour diminuer le risque d’incendie ou de décharges électriques.
• La bouilloire ne contient pas de pièces qui pourraient être réparées par le
consommateur même.
• Les réparations ne peuvent être effectuées que par des techniciens agréés/diplômés.
• La capacité maximum de la bouilloire est 1.0 litre.
• Le niveau d’eau ne doit pas dépasser le marquage 'MAX' (voir à l’intérieur), parce
que la bouilloire puisse déborder quand l’eau est portée à ébullition.
• Trop peu d’eau (moins de 500 ml) résulte en un affichage incorrect de la
température.
La zone de température indiquée en rouge sur le thermomètre est idéale pour le
café. Pour connaître la température du thé, veuillez vous renseigner auprès de votre
magasin spécialisé dans le thé, car cela peut varier selon le type de thé.

1 . Afin de remplir la bouilloire, vous l’enlevez du base électrique.
2 . Ouvrez le couvercle à la main et remplissez la bouilloire de la quantitié d’eau désirée.
3 . Veillez à ce que le couvercle soit convenablement fermé.
4 . Posez la bouilloire sur le base électrique.
5 . Branchez l’appareil à l’alimentation électrique.
6 . Servez-vous de l’interrupteur pour mettre la bouilloire en position “l”, le voyant s’allume.
La bouilloire commence la chauffe et s’arrêtera automatiquement (le voyant s’éteint dès
que l’eau sera à ébullition).
7 . Enlevez la bouilloire du base électrique pour verser l’eau.
Sécurité contre la surchauffe
Si, par hasard, vous faites fonctionner la bouilloire sans l’avoir remplie d’eau, la sécurité de
coupe automatique se déclenchera. Après cette coupe automatique, vous laissez refroidir la
bouilloire avant de la remplir de nouveau d’eau froide.
Utilisation
•N’ouvrez pas le couvercle si l’eau dans la bouilloire est chaude.
•Soyez extrêmement prudent si vous versez de l’eau de la bouilloire parce que l’eau
bouillante peut causer des brûlures.
•Vous pouvez couper la chauffe à tout moment en mettant l’interrupteur en position
'0'. Si vous voulez de nouveau activer la bouilloire pour recommencer la chauffe
vous n’avez qu’à appuyer sur l’interrupteur.
•Assurez-vous que l’interrupteur ne soit pas bloqué par des obstacles et que le cou-
vercle soit bien fixé. La bouilloire ne s’arrêtera pas automatiquement si l’interrup-
teur est bloqué ou si le couvercle est encore ouvert.
•La bouilloire ne recommencera pas la chauffe, à moins que l’interrupteur soit de
nouveau pressé.
•La bouilloire peut rester installée sur le base électrique si vous ne l’utilisez pas.

Pour enlever les taches essuyez l’extérieur de l’appareil avec un chiffon doux, humide.
Vous pouvez vous servir d’un produit détartrant Espressions (EP002) disponible au magasin,
suivre les instructions sur l’emballage.
