A colourful room-within-a-room, the raw shell of the GRID System provides a base for
modular seating, shelves, tables and screens, which can be integrated in dierent ways
to create a playful and multifunctional environment for informal meetings, presentations or
simply hanging out.
THE DESIGNER
Ronan & Erwan Bouroullec have been working together for over 20 years, bonded
by diligence and challenged by their distinct personalities. From designing spaces
to furniture, taking on architectural projects to designing textile wall systems or
comprehensive collections, the brothers maintain drawing and experimental activity
as essential to the development of their work. Their designs are part of select
international museums’ permanent collections, including the Musée National d’Art
Moderne, Centre Pompidou and the Musée des Arts Décoratifs in Paris, New York’s
MoMA, the Art Institute of Chicago, the Design Museum in London, and the Museum
Boijmans van Beuningen in Rotterdam.

INSTRUCTIONS OF USE
GRID sofa units are designed and tested for EN 16139:2013 - Level 1 “General Use”.
Appropriate applications include oce buildings, showrooms, public halls, function rooms,
cafés, restaurants, canteens, banks and bars.
CLEANING GUIDELINES
Larch Veneered Plywood & Triply: Clean with duster. Use a lint-free cloth with warm soap
foam for tougher stains. Avoid abrasive solvents, as they may damage the material. This
product is for indoor use only. For major maintenance or repairs, consult the retailer. Once
the product or its components are no longer used, make sure that they are disposed of
correctly through the public waste disposal services.

Vertical Locators
IMPORTANT, RETAIN FOR FUTURE REFERENCE: READ CAREFULLY

1. Layout contents on a rug or soft surface to prevent scratching of the components.
Check the correct bolts are included before assembling.
2. Insert vertical wood locators into legs.
Take caution not to over tighten the Vertical Locators ( ! )

Always use a minimum of THREE PEOPLE when assembling this Product. Always be mindful
of the weight of this product and take the necessary precautions during assembly to avoid any
harm. Always use a qualied person for the installation. Damaged parts of the furniture should be
exclusively replaced by the manufacturer or a qualied person. E&S declines all responsibility for
products that are modied.

3. Insert Plastic feet into the bottom of the legs. 4. Assemble side steel tubes with panel.
Take caution not to over tighten the M6×60mm CSK bolts ( ! )

5. Insert the back and front legs
Take caution not to over tighten the M5×10mm CSK bolts ( ! )

6. Assemble back steel tubes with panel.
Take caution not to over tighten the M6×60mm CSK bolts ( ! )

7. Ensure the recommended amount of people are assisting for this step.
Insert the two side units into the back unit and lower front tube.
Take caution not to over tighten the M5×10mm CSK bolts ( ! )

8. Place the cross bracing in the correct position.

9. Assemble middle steel tubes with panel.

Insert the two side units into the middle unit and lower front middle tube.
Take caution not to over tighten the M5×10mm CSK bolts ( ! )

Attach the brackets to the base of the frame. Ensure they
are in the correct position before tightening.

14. Place the cushions on the base panels

15. Insert the brackets into the cross bracing.
