MPORTANT
:
PRIOR TO INSTALLATION
1
Installation must be carried out according to local regulations by
qualified trade persons. Isolating switch(es), shut-off valves etc must
be within easy reach of the machine for future service and
maintenance requirements. If in doubt call ES OOD AUSTRALIA or
their representative for further information. No responsibility will be
accepted for defects or damages by improper installation, for
changes to the product not authorised by ES OOD AUSTRALIA, or
for operation outside the technical specifications.
ES OOD AUSTRALIA warrants their products to be free from
defects in material and workmanship under "normal use and
service". This does not include normal wear and tear of parts.
ES OOD AUSTRALIA will repair or replace any parts, which in
ES OOD AUSTRALIA's sole judgement are defective in material or
workmanship, in accordance with the warranty offered.
This undertaking covers the provision of labour and parts for 12
months from the date of delivery to the purchaser. This undertaking
applies only to state capitals. Remote areas are not covered by this
commitment and special enquires should be made. (Not : Trav l
tim not cov r d by warranty)
In no event will ES OOD AUSTRALIA be liable for loss of facilities
or other property and such things as, but not limited to, additional
labour costs, loss of revenue or anticipated profits, and other
damages of any kind whether direct, indirect, incidental or
consequential.
Labour under warranty is supplied free of charge during normal
working hours, Monday to Friday. Should warranty work be
requested outside or our normal working hours a labour charge will
be applied equivalent to a normal hour rate without out of hours
penalty rates. (Refer to last page of this manual for your closest
branch for arranty repair services)
Not : It is the responsibility of the owner to ensure the water feed to
Eswood Dish and Glass washers is of a quality that will not form
excessive build up of calcium and other dissolved minerals on the
heating elements. Premature failure of heating elements that exhibit
this cause of failure will not be covered under warranty.

NSTALLATION

1. Drain Connections: 2” B.S.P. to be trapped in accordance with
local water authorities.
2. Hot ater Connection: Connect hot water at minimum 60°C,
pressure requirement 100 to 400 kPa to connection point.
3. Electrical Connection: Electrical connection should be made in
accordance with rating plate at side of control box and in
accordance with local electrical authority regulations. An
isolating switch should be mounted on wall near machine.
4. To install the machine remove lower panels, make sure
machine is level back to front and side to side by turning
adjustable feet then:
(a) Connect trap to drain outlet under main tank.
(b) Connect hot water to the filtered inlet situated under main
wash tank (isolating valve to be supplied by others).
(c) Electrical connection: Lift electrical cover panel and connect
the 3 Phase power L1,L2,L3 on the terminal block and the
earth wire connection to earth terminal, neutral wire to “N”.
(d) Attach benching to either end of machine with fall back
towards the machine to allow the water to drain back into the
machine.
5. Machine should be fitted with automatic detergent and rinse
agent feeding equipment. Check with detergent company for
the supply of equipment and proper commercial chemicals and
feed settings.

INITIAL START UP PROCEDURE
4.
1. Open front inspection door, check no foreign matter has been
left inside of machine.
2. Check that the overflow tube is sitting within the drain hole at
the bottom of the tank by removing one of the strainer pans
beside the drain lift handle at the centre of tank. Check that all
strainer pans are seating properly on the tank shelf.
3. Check that all curtains are in position as per diagram (see
page 11) note position per curtain length.
4. Close inspection door. Turn on hot water supply valve. Switch
on power supply isolator then turn rotary switch on the control
panel to “fill” position. The green fill indicator light will glow till
fill is complete and stops automatically. Open inspection door,
check level of water in wash tank by lifting a strainer pan (level
approx. ¾ of tank height) refit strainer and close inspection
door.
5. IMPORTANT Before putting machine into operation, check
direction of rotation of all motors as per the arrow on the motor
cover, if they are rotating in the wrong direction, change over 2
phases on the power supply.
6. Turn rotary switch to position (“HI. SP.” or “LO SP.”-The
ES-100 has only one speed and will work in either position)
to put machine in washing mode. Push the green start button
and the machine will start. Check during operation that the
wash thermometer is showing 60-65°C and the final rinse
82°-90°C. The rinse will function automatically as the racks
pass the trip lever. All thermostats are factory set and should
not need to be adjusted.
At this point th machin is r ady to comm nc washing.
(NOTE: If the machine conveyor drive does not operate and
the amber light “ AIT-LO TEMP.” is illuminated, the rinse is
not at correct temperature, consult temperature gauge, wait for
correct temperature and check conveyor drive is now
operating.(Amber light will no longer be illuminated)

7. To interrupt the washing operation press red stop button and
the pumps and conveyor will stop. To totally stop all functions
of the machine turn rotary switch to “OFF” position.
8. At the end of this initial procedure. Turn Rotary switch to
“OFF” position. Open the inspection door and lift the drain lift
handle (move forward and release) to allow tank to drain.
9. Remove curtains and allow to air dry.

OPERATION
5.
1. Check all curtains are in position(see diagram page 11).
2. Check that the overflow tube is fitted properly into drain hole at
bottom of tank water to stop water draining away. Check all
strainer pans are seated properly on either side of the drain lift
handle.
3. Close inspection door, turn rotary switch to “FILL” position.
The green fill light will turn off when fill is completed.
4. Check that detergent has been added. (Check with chemical
company if detergent feeding equipment has been fitted).
5. Turn rotary switch to position (“HI. SP.” or “LO SP.”-The
ES-100 has only one speed and will work in either position) to
put machine in washing mode. Push the green start button
and the machine will start. Check during operation that the
wash thermometer is showing 60-65°C and the final rinse 82°-
90°C. The rinse will function automatically as the racks pass
the trip lever. All thermostats are factory set and should not
need to be adjusted.
At this point th machin is r ady to comm nc washing.

7. During washing operation, check the following:
(a) Periodically remove and clean the filters of the wash tank.
(b) Check level of detergent and rinse aid in their respective
containers. If not yet fitted add one cup of commercial
dishwashing detergent into the wash tank after the initial fill.

6.
1. Remove heavy soil from plates then place in the peg rack face-
up and facing towards machine entry. Bowls can be angled
face down in the peg rack. Place cups and glasses upside
down in the “BK” open rack,
2. Spread silverware in the appropriate cup cutlery rack and
preferably pre-soak in the “G” cutlery container before placing
in the machine.
3. Push rack partially into the entry end of machine, it will then
automatically advance through to the exit end.
4. During washing check that the water temperature in the tanks
are: (Check thermometers within control panel as follows):

6. Periodically check the strainer pans and empty the contents if
necessary into a rubbish bin. Rinse the strainers under a tap
and refit.
7. If the amber light “ AIT-LO TEMP” comes on during
operation the conveyor drive and rinse will stop, until rinse
water reaches 82°C, then it will re-start.( this conforms to
current N.S. . Health Regulations and proposed National
A.N.Z.F.A. Regulations)

HUTDOWN AND MAINTENANCE
7.
1. hen washing is complete turn the rotary switch "OFF".
2. Open the wash chamber inspection door, lift the overflow tube
handle and tilt the overflow tube to one side to drain tank.
3. Remove curtains and wash with warm water, then allow to air
dry.
4. Check that wash arm jets are free from foreign matter. To
clean remove the end caps, make sure the strainers are fitted
and the tank is full. Close door turn on machine press the
green start button then turn off. Repeat this process when jets
are clean replace the end caps.
5. Remove the strainer pans and clean them under a tap.
Occasionally hose the inside of the machine to keep it clean
and make sure to drain all the water out of the tank.
6. Check rinse arms for foreign matter.(may need cleaning if
water quality is poor use paper clip and prick the jets).
7. Clean the exterior of the machine with a damp sponge. Do
not pass water over the electrical controls and do not use
abrasive or strong detergents.
8. Leave the inspection doors open to allow the machine to air.

ROUBLE SHOOTING
9.
PROBLEM POSSIBLE CAUSE AND
REMEDY
hen machine is (a) Check that main isolating switch is
turned on, pilot turned on and fuses are okay.
light(red) does not
illuminate (b) Pilot light may be burnt out. If so,
replace it (though this will not stop
machine from operating).
(c) Check condition of circuit breaker in
control box. Reset and check machine.
If it trips again check electrical circuit
Machine will not start (a) Check if main motor overload has
tripped out. Reset if necessary and
check motor current draw.
(b) Check water level in wash tank/s.
(c) Check door safety switch.
Machine not filling (a) Check pressure switch is
correctly and/or filling functioning, replace or adjust if
continuously( green indicator necessary.
light remains illuminated) Also check air tube to pressure switch
for air leaks.
(b) Check if water isolating valve is fully
open. Clean line strainers, check also
if there is an obstruction in water supply
line.
(c) Check if overflow pipes are seated
correctly in wash tank. Possible foreign
matter under “O” ring.
(d) Check fill solenoid valve for
possible malfunction or obstruction. If
diaphragm punctured, replace.
Replace valve if faulty.

PROBLEM POSSIBLE CAUSE AND
REMEDY
Racks not advancing (a) Check for obstruction within
properly through machine machine that could cause conveyor to
stop.
(b) Check clutch adjustment on motor
reduction unit. If necessary, tighten
slightly, but do not over-tighten.
(c) Check that the overload of the
conveyor motor may have tripped. If it
needs to be reset check draw current
of motor.
(d) Check bench (proximity) switch if
fitted.
(e) Check Low Rinse Temp(amber
light -electrical panel-” AIT”) If light is
on conveyor will not work.
Low Temp Light constantly (a) Check temp of your hot water
supply (min. temp of supply 60°C)
llluminated and also rinse booster elements are
working correctly.
Poor wash (a) Check that detergent feeder to
machine is operating correctly.
(b) Check for foreign matter in pre-
wash and wash arm jets. Clean if
necessary.
(c) Check that items to be washed are
correctly placed in racks.
(d) Check temperature of tanks. If
incorrect check thermostat settings,
heating elements and contactors.
(e) Check that all pumps are
functioning. If not, check overload
relays. Reset if necessary and check
amperage draw.
(f) Remove and clean all strainers.

Incorrect temperature of (a) Check thermostat setting.
wash tanks
(b) Check tank elements. If burnt out
replace.
(c) Check contactors. If burnt out
contact replace.
(d) Check pressure switch.
Poor rinse (a) Check that water pressure to
machine is not less than 200 kPa. If
so, ensure that the water isolating valve
is fully open.
(b) Check rinse jets for foreign matter
and clean if necessary.
(c) Check that the water supply
solenoid valve is functioning correctly.
(d) Check that the line strainer is not
partially blocked. If so, remove and
clean filter.
(e) Check rinse switch is working, also
that light is not faulty.
Low rinse Rinse temperature should be between
temperature 82°-90°C, if not:
(a) Check that thermometer reading is
correct and thermometer is not faulty.
(b) Ensure that temperature of
incoming water supply is at 60°C
minimum.
(c) Check thermostat to boiler is
functioning and set correctly.
