B. MANUAL
1. Please read the safety guidelines carefully fi rst. Comply with these rules now and in the future.
2. Watch the instruc on video and read the installa on/assembly instruc ons before assembling
and/or using the SunnyTent.
3. The SunnyTent can only be assembled on loca ons where the anchors and pegs can be twisted /
hammered into the ground. If you want to place the SunnyTent on a hard surface, you can buy
the special “hard-surface-installa on-set”.
4. Do not put the SunnyTent on a hard surface, without the special “hard-surface-installa on-set”.
This prevents wear and tear on the bo om (the outer two tent pole tunnels). The warranty does
not cover this type of damage.
5. Very rarely, the following combina on of factors may damage the foil of your SunnyTent:
• Extreme heat and sunshine;
• New tent foil (with a fresh an -moisture layer of wax on it), so usually early in its fi rst
season of use;
• The tent fully or par ally opened, whereby the foil is stacked behind the swimming pool
ánd bright sun is shining on this stacked foil;
• The foil was damp on opening the tent.
A combina on of the above factors may cause the an -moisture wax to melt, resul ng in the foil
layers being pasted together. When you, later on the day (when the foil is cooled down), pull
up the tent (to close it) the pasted layers will come loose but the foil will be deformed in some
places.
To prevent this: If the above combina on of factors occurs, it is advisable to protect the stacked
foil (behind the pool) from bright sunshine by covering it with something dark. If the sun does not
shine on the stacked foil, this is not necessary.
6. The SunnyTent is suitable for a variety of uses. The most common use is to cover a swimming
pool, sandpit, trampoline and/or kitchen garden. The SunnyTent, however, is some mes used to
temporarily store products that are required to stay dry. Keep in mind that suffi cient ven la on is
required to prevent stored products from spoiling etc.
7. In case you use an automa c lawnmower (robot), please make sure that it cannot bump into the
SunnyTent, in order to prevent damage to the tent.
8. You can close the SunnyTent en rely, open it en rely (fold it backwards) or partly open it.
• At a low wind speed (forecast) of maximum 3, you can leave the SunnyTent partly open.
Especially if the wind is coming from the other side than the opening side. The par ally
opened tent should be secured with the supplied tension rope, as described in the
Installa on- / Assembly Instruc ons.
• At a wind speed (forecast) of between 3 and 5, it is not recommended to leave the tent
par ally opened. Especially if the wind aligns with the opening of the tent, which could
create the risk of the tent being blown down. In this case, you are required to either leave
the tent completely opened or completely closed (with all pegs pinned down).
• At a wind speed (forecast) of between 5 and 7, it is recommended that you either close the
SunnyTent completely (and pin it down suffi ciently with the supplied pegs or the special
“hard-surface-installa on-set”) or keep it open (fold it backwards completely) and put
suffi cient weight on it, to keep the tent canvas fi rmly in place.
• At a wind speed (forecast) of 7 or higher, you are required to open the SunnyTent completely
(fold it backwards) and put suffi cient weight on top of the tent canvas to keep the tent
fi rmly in place.
• In case of (expected) heavy winds (or gusts of wind), it is advised to check all the pegs /
secure materials. In case of heavy winds, please also use the plas c secure pegs to secure
the twist pegs, as demonstrated in the Installa on-instruc on-video.
• Snow and glazed frost piling up on the SunnyTent may cause damage. Therefore, you need
to open the SunnyTent completely (by folding it backwards) when snow or glazed frost is
expected.
• Never leave the SunnyTent open una ended. Closely monitor the weather and weather
forecasts, to prevent the SunnyTent from being li ed from the anchors, from ge ng damaged
or from causing damage to (property of) others.
