Manual SunnyTent
A. Safety guidelines
➢Warning: Not suitable for children under 3 years old; risk of entanglement / strangulation and pinched
hands, feet, fingers and toes!
➢Warning: Risk of drowning. Don't let children play without supervision!
➢Warning: Keep away from fire!
➢Warning: When using disinfectants for swimming water, always follow the instructions carefully as
indicated by the manufacturer / supplier of these agents!
➢Warning: Only adults should set up a SunnyTent!
➢Warning: Be careful not to stand on the pegs!
➢Warning: Keep hands, fingers, feet and toes away from the hinge anchors / moving and pegs!
➢Warning: The SunnyTent is never an alternative to continuous supervision by an adult!
➢Warning: The SunnyTent can be used as a tent over an in-ground trampoline. But be aware that the
SunnyTent is not a safety net. It is not intended to prevent people from accidentally falling off a
trampoline. The SunnyTent is only meant to keep the trampoline (and the people on it) dry, clean and
pleasantly warm!
➢Warning: The SunnyTent can be used as a tent over a swimming pool. In addition to all other warnings,
please note the following general rules regarding safety in the water:
oEnsure constant supervision! When children use a swimming pool (with or without SunnyTent) an
adult must always supervise!
oLearn to swim!
oTake a First Aid course and learn mouth-to-mouth resuscitation!
oMake sure you are aware of the dangers of water and necessary safety precautions to be taken!
oMake sure that the users of the swimming pool (with or without SunnyTent) are aware of what to do
in the event of an accident!
oAlways use common sense when playing games and activities in and with water!
oSupervise!
➢Although a securely closed SunnyTent provides some protection for your swimming pool, it is not the
intended function. Some protection is offered, but it is not the intended function that the SunnyTent will
prevent people (including children) and / or (pets) from ending up in the pool accidentally. Ensure
constant supervision of an adult.
➢Warning: Do not swim or play in a fully closed SunnyTent.
oAlways ensure adequate ventilation (fresh air and safe temperatures); the SunnyTent Round must
be at least 35% open and remain open when playing in / under it / swimming. The SunnyTent Oval
must be open, at least on one long side to at least 1.70 m in height over the full width, if there are
people in the pool.
oWith wind force or gusts with a force of 3 Bft or higher, do not play / swim in / under, a partially
opened SunnyTent. This is to prevent someone from getting caught in or suffocated under / by the
tent, if the SunnyTent collapses.
oOnly play or swim in a partially opened SunnyTent if there is constant supervision by an adult who is
outside the SunnyTent. This is to prevent someone from getting caught or suffocated under / by the
tent, if the SunnyTent collapses, as a result of wind (gusts) and / or wrongful installation of the
SunnyTent and / or defects in the SunnyTent itself.
➢Warning: Regularly check the SunnyTent for loose parts and any other defects. Repair any defects or
potential problems before continuing to use the SunnyTent!

➢Warning: If you use the SunnyTent after sunset or before sunrise, ensure that there is sufficient lighting
to make sure all safety instructions are visible, the tent itself and the entrance and exit are clearly
visible!
➢Warning: Also read all the other contents of this manual!
➢Warning: All instructions and safety guidelines supplied with this product only indicate general risk and
not specific hazards and dangers. Use common sense and sound judgment when undertaking any
activities using the SunnyTent. Carefully read, understand and follow all instructions before installation
and before each use!
➢Warning: Failure to follow the safety guidelines and instructions for use may result in accidents.
Sometimes resulting in extreme injury or even death!
➢Warning: The SunnyTent is only intended for private use and therefore not for commercial and / or
(semi) public / public applications!
➢Warning: Ultimately, the user is responsible for the correct use of the SunnyTent!
➢Warning: When you open your SunnyTent completely, mark the location of the twist pegs with the red
plastic locking pegs. This makes the twist pegs more visible and helps to prevent anyone from getting
hurt.
➢Warning: When using a Cross-pole set in combination with the SunnyTent: When you open your tent
completely, remove the poles / hoses of the Cross-pole set from the connecting pins and remove the
connecting pins from the ground tubes to prevent accidental injury.
B. Installation instructions
On our website (www.sunnytent.com) you will find the most current installation videos for all SunnyTent
models / sizes. Study these videos carefully and follow all instructions and warnings carefully.
C. Instructions for use
1. First read the safety guidelines carefully. Comply with these guidelines now and in the future.
2. Carefully study and comply with the usage guidelines included in the installation video now and in the
future.
3. The SunnyTent can only be set up in places where the hinged anchors and pegs can be driven into the
ground. For installation on a hard surface, the special "Hard Surface Kit" must be purchased. Do not
place the SunnyTent on a hard surface without this Hard Surface kit. This kit will prevent wear on the
underside (the bottom two pole tunnels). Such wear is not covered by the warranty.
If the ground surface on which the SunnyTent is installed is not even, even when using our special
“Hard Surface Kit”, wear may still occur on the underside (the bottom two pole tunnels). You should
therefore, only install a SunnyTent on a flat, level surface.
4. Very occasionally the SunnyTent tent foil can be damaged by a combination of the following factors:
•In hot weather and extreme sunshine;
•If the tent foil is new (with a 'fresh' anti-condensation wax layer), so often only during installation
or, early in the first season of use;
•If the tent is fully or partially opened, with the layers of tent foil, laying behind the swimming pool
on top of each other with bright sun shining directly on this "piled up" tent foil;
•If the tent foil was slightly damp before the tent was opened.
Under the influence of these factors, the wax melts and this wax can cause the layers of tent foil to stick
together. If afterwards when the whole tent has cooled down and you pull the tent up, the layers of tent
foil stick together and this tent foil may become malformed or distorted as a result.
To prevent this damage you must adhere to the following guidelines:
•During installation: During installation, do not place the tent foil in full sun, but always in the
shade. If this is not possible, then protect the foil with good insulating material to prevent sun
damage.
•Early in the first season of use: If the above factors occur, you should protect the layered tent foil
behind the pool from the sunshine with a tent foil protector. This is available at
www.sunnytent.com. You can also use other well-insulated material (that remains in place). If
the sun does not shine on this "tent foil pile", then it is not necessary. It is also advisable to pull
the SunnyTent all the way up after use and close it, then the problem cannot occur.

Again, this is especially true with (fairly) new tent foils. If the tent is in use for a few months and it has
rained regularly, then this problem will not occur again.
5. You can use the SunnyTent for all kinds of applications. The most common / known applications are
the covering of a swimming pool, sandpit, trampoline and vegetable garden. However, the SunnyTent is
sometimes also used for the temporary storage of products that must remain dry. Please ensure that
there is adequate ventilation so that mould does not appear on the stored items.
6. If you use an automatic lawn mower (robot), you must ensure that it cannot collide with the SunnyTent.
This is to prevent damage.
7. You can close the SunnyTent completely, fully open it or partially open it.
•a. Note: See the safety guidelines! Read this thoroughly to prevent physical injury or worse.

SunnyTent Oval M of L
With a low wind speed (expected),
maximum wind force 3 Bft., you can leave
the SunnyTent partially open (at approx.
35%), provided that the wind comes from
the opposite side to the opening side and
that the set of poles are installed properly.
You must secure the partially opened tent
with the included guy line (s), as described
in the installation instruction.
Take the wind into account when opening
your SunnyTent. If there is a moderate or
stronger wind blowing in the direction of one
of the long sides, then open the tent on the
other long side. When conditions are still,
the tent can be opened on both sides.
With wind speed (expected) and / or gusts
of wind between 3 and 5 Bft. do not leave
the tent partially open. This is especially
true if the windy side is the same as the
opening side of the tent, there is a danger
that the wind could blow the tent down. In
such cases, you must leave the tent either
fully open or fully closed (and with all twist
pegs secured) (Note: Do not swim / play in
a closed SunnyTent!).
A completely and properly closed Oval
SunnyTent is resistant to wind (gusts) up to
a force of 5 Bft. With stronger winds / gusts
you must fold your SunnyTent all the way
down (by detaching the 'head parts' and the
'intermediate part' from each other and
lowering the tent completely to the ground
(place something heavy, but not sharp, on
the lowered tent so that the tent parts do not
blow away).
With wind speed (expected) 5 Bft. or higher,
you must open the SunnyTent completely
(and lay it on the ground) and place
something sufficiently heavy (without sharp
parts) on it, so that the tent stays firmly in
place.
A SunnyTent that is partially open (on the
long / straight side (s)) is more sensitive to
wind than a closed SunnyTent. This of
course strongly depends on how exposed
the location of your SunnyTent is and
whether the tent is open on the windward
side or on the opposite side of the wind.
Note: The entire opening (and later closing)
of the SunnyTent must always be done by
two adults.
Note: Never open the SunnyTent halfway,
but about 35% or completely, as explained
in the installation video.
Always keep an eye on the wind force and
wind direction when you open / leave your
SunnyTent open. Always use common
sense in this regard.
•If a strong wind (or gusts of wind) is expected or the wind is strong, you must carefully check all
the pegs and hinge anchors. In strong winds, also use the plastic locking pegs to help secure
the twist pegs. See the installation instructions for more detailed information.
•In snow and freezing weather, snow and ice can accumulate on the SunnyTent. This can cause
it to bend and possibly be damaged / broken. Therefore, if snow / freezing rain is expected, you
must open the SunnyTent completely (and place it on the ground).
•Never leave the SunnyTent partially open, unattended. Always keep a close eye on the weather
and the weather forecast, to prevent the SunnyTent from blowing out of its hinge anchors, being
damaged or causing damage to other things or third parties.
8. Do not leave the SunnyTent unattended unless you are 100% sure that the weather is calm and
predictable (no strong wind (gusts), etc.). If you do, you run the risk of damage to the tent as a result of,
for example, strong wind (gusts), snow or sleet. This damage is not covered by the warranty.
9. If you use the SunnyTent as a tent over your swimming pool, the location of the skimmer of your
swimming pool needs attention. You should not place this on the opening sides of the tent of the pool,

but as close to the anchor side as possible. There, the tent foil does not lay behind the skimmer when
the SunnyTent is opened / closed. Always look carefully where the skimmer fits best in your case, so
that the tent foil is not damaged.
10. The first rain showers create a foamy substance on the outside of the tent foil. This is a type of coating
/ wax that is processed on the foil, which ensures that no condensation droplets remain on the tent foil.
The first rain partially rinses this type of coating off the tent foil. This does no harm to the tent or anyone
using it. This wax has also been used on the inside of the tent foil to prevent condensation on the foil.
As a result of splashing with water, a foam-like substance can also form here. This too is temporary in
nature and can do no further harm.
11. Never use cleaning agents for the maintenance / cleaning of your SunnyTent. Such substances can
cause the stitching, with which the different sheets of foil / tent canvas are sewn together, to wear out
and / or fray more quickly. You must clean your SunnyTent by spraying the tent with cold water. Do not
use a pressure / hard jet, lukewarm or warm water, brushes or other aids, all these can damage the
protective layer of the tent foil, causing it to wear out more quickly and reducing the effectiveness of the
anti-condensation layer.
12. Make sure that you store your SunnyTent at room temperature. If you place the SunnyTent close to a
heating pipe or other heat source, there is a chance that the material of the tent can shrink.
13. If you use your SunnyTent in the winter, take the following into account:
The SunnyTent does not protect your swimming pool or other items contained in it from frost (damage).
14. The temperature and humidity in the SunnyTent can increase considerably. Never place anything under
the SunnyTent that is sensitive to this.
D. Warranty provisions
1. The terms of this warranty apply only to the first owner. This warranty is not transferable and is valid for
2 years from the date of purchase. Save your original purchase invoice; this must be submitted in the
event of a complaint. No guarantee is possible without this invoice.
2. If a production error occurs within the 2-year period, you can contact SunnyTent BV via its website
www.sunnytent.com. SunnyTent BV will handle the complaint with you and ask you to send the item for
inspection. If your complaint is well-founded and the installation and user conditions are met, the item
will be repaired or exchanged and returned to you at no cost to you. In all other cases, repair or
replacement costs will be charged to you.
3. Assumed guarantees are only limited to the conditions of this guarantee. SunnyTent BV is in no way
liable towards the buyer or other party for direct or consequential damage.
4. The warranty does not apply if the SunnyTent has been subject to neglect, accident, improper use,
incorrect installation / set-up, failure to follow the instructions for use or harmful circumstances beyond
SunnyTent BV's control, including and not limited to, normal wear and tear, fire, flooding, frost, freezing
rain, snow or other forces of nature. In addition, actual changes to and / or use of own materials in
combination with the SunnyTent invalidate the warranty.
5. Because the SunnyTent is outside for a long period of time, it is exposed to wind and weather. As a
result, the metal parts can show rust after a while. However, this rust does not in any way prevent or
hinder the use of the SunnyTent, and is therefore not covered by the warranty.
6. Carefully follow all instructions and conditions as shown in the installation video and described in the
user manual. To do this, study the installation video and operating instructions regularly / repeatedly.
Always check the SunnyTent before and after use. If you do not follow the instructions, the warranty will
expire.
