1. Introduction

2. Safety Instructions

•This device can be used by children aged from 8 years and above, and persons with
reduced physical, sensory or mental capabilities or lack of experience and knowledge if
they have been given supervision or instruction concerning the use of the device in a safe
way and understand the hazards involved. Children shall not play with the device. Cleaning
and user maintenance shall not be made by children without supervision.
•If the external flexible cable or cord of this luminaire is damaged, it shall be replaced by a
special cord or cord exclusively available from the manufacturer or his service agent.
•Non replaceable light source. The light source in this luminaire is not replaceable. When the
light source reaches its end of life the whole luminaire shall be replaced.
•Make sure that the power wiring comes from a circuit with a suitable fuse or circuit
breaker.
•Choking hazard! Ensure that plastic bags, packaging, etc. are disposed of properly and are
not within reach of babies and young children.
•Electric shock caused by high voltages inside. Never remove any covers. There are no user-
serviceable parts inside. Do not use the appliance if covers, protectors or optical
components are missing or damaged.

•Electric shock caused by short-circuit. Do not modify the mains cable or the plug. Failure to
do so could result in electric shock/death or fire. If in doubt, seek advice from a registered
electrician.
•Eye damage caused by high light intensity. Never look directly into the light source.
•Risk of epileptic shock. Strobe lighting can trigger seizures in photosensitive epilepsy.
Sensitive persons should avoid looking at strobe lights.
•Risk of fire. Do not cover the appliance nor any ventilation slots. Do not place the appliance
near any direct heat source. Keep the appliance away from naked flames.
3. General Guidelines
•Refer to the Velleman®Service and Quality Warranty on the last pages of this manual.
•All modifications of the device are forbidden for safety reasons. Damage caused by user
modifications to the device is not covered by the warranty.
•Only use the device for its intended purpose. Using the device in an unauthorised way will
void the warranty.
•Damage caused by disregard of certain guidelines in this manual is not covered by the
warranty and the dealer will not accept responsibility for any ensuing defects or problems.
•Nor Velleman nv nor its dealers can be held responsible for any damage (extraordinary,
incidental or indirect) –of any nature (financial, physical…) arising from the possession,
use or failure of this product.

4. Installation
WARNING!
•Some countries may require installation of this appliance by a qualified electrician. Please
check the laws and requirements in your country. If the housing is of aluminium, consult
with an electrician about proper wiring methods.
•Before proceeding installation, switch off the power to the lighting circuit at the circuit
breaker or fuse box to avoid electrical shocks.
Guidelines
•The construction to which the appliance is attached should be able to support 4 times the
weight of the appliance for one hour without deformation.
•Never stand directly below the appliance when it is being mounted, removed or serviced.
Have a qualified technician check the appliance once a year and once before you bring it
into service.
•Overhead mounting requires extensive experience: calculating workload limits, determining
the installation material to be used… Have the material and the appliance itself checked
regularly. Do not attempt to install the appliance yourself if you lack these qualifications as
improper installation may result in serious injuries.
Distances
•Keep at least 20 cm distance at the top and 30 cm on either side.
•Respect a minimum distance of 1 m between the appliance’s light output and any
illuminated surface.

Choosing an Appropriate Location
•Please avoid installing the appliance upside-down in order to ensure its watertightness.
•The appliance should be fixed to a stable outdoor wall made of a non-flammable material
approximately between 0.5-3.0 m above the ground and at an angle of ± 60°, preferably
in a location under eaves where the unit is protected from the elements and shielded from
direct sunlight.
•Do not install the appliance close to air conditioning vents, radiators, etc.
Mounting and Connection
1. This appliance does not have a built-in device to disconnect it from the electric mains.
Make sure to electrically isolate the luminaire before installation or maintenance activities
are performed.
2. Use the mounting bracket to determine the location of the mounting holes.
3. Drill the holes and secure the bracket using screws and wall plugs.
4. Connect the power cable to the screw terminal. Make sure there is no strain on the cable;
leave sufficient slack.
N = neutral, blue
E = earth, yellow/green
L = line, brown
5. Tilt the lamp in the desired angle and tighten the hinges.
Changing the Lenses
Other lenses are available if you want to change the beam angle. To open the appliance, insert
a screwdriver into the clamp hole and press down to unlock.

Unscrew the lenses and install the new ones.
To close, press the clamp perpendicular to the appliance until it locks over the protection shield
screen.

5. Care and Maintenance
Care
•This appliance does not need any particular maintenance. However, regularly check the
mounting installation and external flexible cable or cord. Do not use the appliance if there
is visible damage.
Cleaning
•Regularly clean the protection shield screens to optimize the light output.
•The frequency of cleaning depends on the operating environment: wet, smoky or
particularly dirty surroundings can cause more accumulation of dirt on the optics of the
appliance.
•Before cleaning, switch off the appliance and disconnect from the mains. Use a lint-free
damp cloth for cleaning. Never use solvents or alcohol for cleaning. Always dry the parts
carefully.
Storage
•Store the appliance in its original package in a dry and clean place.

HANDLEIDING
1. Inleiding

Belangrijke milieu-informatie betreffende dit product
Dit symbool op het toestel of de verpakking geeft aan dat, als het na zijn levenscyclus wordt
weggeworpen, dit toestel schade kan toebrengen aan het milieu. Gooi dit toestel (en eventuele
batterijen) niet bij het gewone huishoudelijke afval; het moet bij een gespecialiseerd bedrijf
terechtkomen voor recyclage. U moet dit toestel naar uw verdeler of naar een lokaal
recyclagepunt brengen. Respecteer de plaatselijke milieuwetgeving.
In geval van twijfel, contacteer dan de plaatselijke autoriteiten betreffende de
verwijdering.

2. Veiligheidsvoorschriften
Lees en begrijp deze handleiding en de veiligheidsinstructies vóór ingebruikname.
OPGELET - Elektrocutiegevaar.
Dit toestel is niet dimbaar.
Minimumafstand tot de belichte voorwerpen.
Vervang beschadigde beschermkappen (bv. barsten, krassen).

•Dit toestel is geschikt voor gebruik door kinderen vanaf 8 jaar, door personen met fysieke,
zintuiglijke of verstandelijke beperkingen, of door personen met gebrek aan ervaring en
kennis, op voorwaarde dat dit onder toezicht gebeurt van een persoon die verantwoordelijk
is voor hun veiligheid of hun aanwijzingen heeft gegeven, hoe zij het toestel moeten
gebruiken en zich bewust zijn van de risico's die het gebruik van het toestel met zich
meebrengt. Kinderen mogen niet met het toestel spelen. De reiniging en het onderhoud
van het toestel mogen niet worden uitgevoerd door kinderen, tenzij ze onder toezicht
staan.
•Indien de externe flexibele kabel of snoer beschadigd is, dan moet deze door de fabrikant,
diens servicedienst, of een gelijkwaardig bekwaam persoon vervangen worden.
•Niet-vervangbare lichtbron. De lichtbron is niet vervangbaar. Vervang de plafondlamp aan
het einde van zijn levensduur.
•Zorg ervoor dat de bedrading afkomstig is van een stroomcircuit met een geschikte
zekering of een stroomonderbreker.
•Verstikkingsgevaar! Verwijder alle plastic zakken en ander verpakkingsmateriaal op
gepaste wijze en houd deze uit de buurt van baby's en kinderen.
•Elektrische schokken door hoge spanningen in het toestel. Verwijder nooit de afdekkappen.
De gebruiker mag geen onderdelen vervangen. Gebruik het toestel niet als de
beschermkappen of optische onderdelen ontbreken of beschadigd zijn.

•Elektrische schokken door kortsluiting. Verander het snoer of de stekker niet. Als u dit niet
doet, kan dat leiden tot elektrische schokken/brand of zelfs de dood. In geval van twijfel,
raadpleeg een gekwalificeerde elektricien.
•Risico op oogletsel door hoge lichtintensiteit. Kijk nooit rechtstreeks in de lichtbron.
•Risico op een epileptische aanval. Stroboscooplichten kunnen een aanval triggeren bij
mensen met lichtgevoelige epilepsie. Stroboscooplichten kunnen leiden tot
epilepsieaanvallen bij gevoelige personen.
•BRANDGEVAAR. Dek het toestel of de ventilatieopeningen van het toestel niet af. Installeer
het toestel niet in de buurt van directe warmtebronnen. Houd het toestel uit de buurt van
open vuur.
3. Algemene richtlijnen
•Raadpleeg de Velleman® Service- en kwaliteitsgarantie achteraan deze handleiding.
•Om veiligheidsredenen mag u geen wijzigingen aanbrengen. Schade door wijzigingen die
de gebruiker heeft aangebracht aan het toestel valt niet onder de garantie.
•Gebruik het toestel enkel waarvoor het gemaakt is. De garantie vervalt automatisch bij
ongeoorloofd gebruik.
•De garantie geldt niet voor schade door het negeren van bepaalde richtlijnen in deze
handleiding en uw dealer zal de verantwoordelijkheid afwijzen voor defecten of problemen
die hier rechtstreeks verband mee houden.
•Noch Velleman nv noch zijn verdelers kunnen aansprakelijk gesteld worden voor schade
(buitengewoon, incidenteel of onrechtstreeks) –van welke aard dan ook (financieel,
fysisch…) voortvloeiend uit het bezit, gebruik of falen van dit product.
•Bewaar deze handleiding voor verdere raadpleging.
4. Montage
Waarschuwing!
•Sommige landen vereisen dat de installatie van dit product door een erkend elektricien
gebeurt. Controleer de wetten en voorschriften in uw land. Als de behuizing van aluminium
is, raadpleeg een elektricien om de correcte aansluitingsmethoden te bespreken.
•Voor de installatie dient u de stroom van het verlichtingscircuit aan de zekeringkast of
stroomonderbreker uit te schakelen om elektrische schokken te voorkomen.
Richtlijnen
•De constructie waaraan het toestel wordt bevestigd, moet gedurende 1 uur 4 x het gewicht
van dit toestel kunnen dragen zonder te vervormen.
•Sta nooit recht onder het toestel wanneer u het monteert, verwijdert of herstelt. Laat het
toestel controleren door een geschoolde technicus voor u het in gebruik neemt en laat het
1 x per jaar volledig nakijken.
•Het ophangen vereist een degelijke praktijkervaring: u moet de maximumbelasting van de
draagconstructie kunnen berekenen, weten welk constructiemateriaal u kunt gebruiken, …
Laat het materiaal en het toestel regelmatig nakijken. Monteer het toestel niet zelf indien u
er geen ervaring mee heeft. Een slechte montage kan leiden tot verwondingen.
Afstanden
•Laat minstens 20 cm vrij aan de bovenkant en 30 cm aan weerszijden.
•Houd een minimumafstand van 1 m tussen de lichtuitgang en het belichte oppervlak.

Een geschikte montageplaats kiezen
•Installeer het toestel nooit ondersteboven, om de waterdichtheid te garanderen.
•Bevestig het toestel aan een niet-ontvlambare buitenwand (0.5-3.0 m), in een hoek van
± 60° en bij voorkeur onder een dak, waar het toestel waar het beschut is tegen regen en
direct zonlicht.
•Installeer het toestel niet in de nabijheid van airco's, radiators, enz.
Montage en aansluiting
1. Dit toestel is niet uitgerust met een aan/uit-schakelaar om het van het lichtnet los te
koppelen. Isoleer het toestel elektrisch voor de installatie of onderhoud.
2. Gebruik de montagebeugel om de plaats van de montagegaten te bepalen.
3. Boor de gaten en bevestig de beugel met schroeven en muurpluggen.
4. Schuif de voedingskabel door de rubberpakking en sluit aan op de lusterklem. Zorg ervoor
dat de kabel niet te strak vast zit; laat voldoende speling;
N = neutraal, blauw
E = aarding, geel/groen

5. Draai het toestel in de gewenste positie en zet de scharnieren vast.
De lenzen vervangen.
Andere lenzen zijn beschikbaar als u de stralingshoek wilt veranderen. Om het toestel te
openen, plaats een schroevendraaier in de uitsparing en duw omlaag om te ontgrendelen.

Schroef de lenzen los en vervang door nieuwe.
Om te sluiten, druk de klem loodrecht op het toestel tot deze over de beschermkap vastklikt.

5. Zorg en onderhoud
Zorg
•Dit toestel heeft geen speciaal onderhoud nodig. Controleer regelmatig de installatieplaats
en de externe flexibele kabel. Gebruik het toestel niet als er zichtbare schade is.
Reiniging
•Reinig regelmatig de beschermkappen voor een betere lichtopbrengst.
•De frequentie van de reiniging is afhankelijk van de omgeving waar het toestel wordt
gebruikt: een klamme, rokerige of bijzonder vuile omgeving kan een grotere opeenhoping
van vuil veroorzaken op de optische uitrusting.
•Voor de reiniging, schakel het toestel uit en ontkoppel van het lichtnet. Gebruik een
vochtige, pluisvrije doek om het toestel te reinigen Gebruik nooit oplosmiddelen of alcohol
om het toestel te reinigen. Droog steeds alle onderdelen zorgvuldig.
Opslag
•Bewaar het toestel in de oorspronkelijke verpakking op een droge en propere plaats.

2. Consignes de sécurité
Lire et comprendre ce mode d'emploi et toutes les consignes de sécurité avant d'utiliser
l'appareil.

Il n'est pas possible de régler l'intensité lumineuse de l'appareil.

Remplacer tout écran de protection fissuré ou endommagé.

•Cet appareil peut être utilisé par des enfants âgés de 8 ans et plus et des personnes
manquant d’expérience et de connaissances ou dont les capacités physiques, sensorielles
ou mentales sont réduites, si elles ont été formées et encadrées quant à l'utilisation de
l'appareil d'une manière sûre et connaissent les risques encourus. Ne pas laisser les
enfants jouer avec l'appareil. Le nettoyage et l'entretien ne doivent pas être effectués par
des enfants sans surveillance.
•Si le câble flexible ou est endommagé, demander au fabricant ou à son agent de service de
le remplacer.
•Source lumineuse non remplaçable La source lumineuse n'est pas remplaçable. Lorsque la
source lumineuse atteint sa fin de vie, remplacer l'appareil entier.
•S’assurer que le fil d’alimentation provienne d’un circuit comportant un fusible ou un
disjoncteur d’une capacité suffisante.
•Risque d'étouffement ! Se débarrasser des emballages, sacs et autres produits en plastique
en toute sécurité et garder les hors de portée des enfants.
•Décharge électrique due aux tensions élevées circulant à l’intérieur de l’appareil. Ne jamais
démonter les caches de protection. L'appareil ne contient aucune pièce réparable par
l'utilisateur. Ne pas utiliser l'appareil si les couvercles, blindages, lentilles ou composants
optiques sont manquants ou endommagés.

•Décharge électrique due à un court-circuit. Ne pas modifier le cordon secteur ni la fiche. En
cas de non-respect, il y a risque de décharge électrique/mort ou danger d'incendie. En cas
de doute, consulter un électricien qualifié.
•Risque de blessures oculaires dû à l'intensité élevée de la lumière. Ne jamais regarder
directement dans la source lumineuse.
•Danger de crise d’épilepsie. Les lumières stroboscopiques peuvent déclencher une crise
d'épilepsie chez les personnes photosensibles. Les lumières stroboscopiques peuvent
provoquer des crises d’épilepsie chez les personnes sensibles.
•RISQUE D'INCENDIE. Ne pas recouvrir les fentes d'aération de l'appareil. Ne pas installer
l'appareil à proximité directe d'une source de chaleur. Tenir l'appareil éloigné des flammes
nues.
3. Directives générales
•Se référer à la garantie de service et de qualité Velleman® en fin de ce mode d'emploi.
•Toute modification est interdite pour des raisons de sécurité. Les dommages occasionnés
par des modifications par le client ne tombent pas sous la garantie.
•N’utiliser l'appareil qu’à sa fonction prévue. Un usage impropre annule d'office la garantie.
•La garantie ne se s’applique pas aux dommages survenus en négligeant certaines
directives de ce mode d'emploi et votre revendeur déclinera toute responsabilité pour les
problèmes et les défauts qui en résultent.
•Ni Velleman SA ni ses distributeurs ne peuvent être tenus responsables des dommages
exceptionnels, imprévus ou indirects, quelles que soient la nature (financière,
corporelle, etc.), causés par la possession, l’utilisation ou le dysfonctionnement de ce
produit.
•Garder ce mode d'emploi pour toute référence ultérieure.
4. Installation
AVERTISSEMENT !
•Certains pays peuvent exiger de faire installer ce produit par un électricien qualifié. Vérifier
les lois et les spécifications de votre pays. Si le boîtier est en aluminium, consulter un
électricien pour qu’il vous indique les bonnes méthodes de câblage.
•Avant de procéder à l'installation, couper le courant circulant dans le circuit d'éclairage au
niveau du disjoncteur, ou de la boîte à fusibles afin d'éviter toute électrocution.
Directives
•La construction portante de l’appareil doit être capable de supporter 4 x le poids de
l’appareil pendant une heure, sans qu’une déformation de la construction en résulte.
•Éviter de se positionner en dessous de l’appareil pour l’enlever ou lors du montage ou du
nettoyage. Un technicien qualifié doit réviser l’appareil avant la mise en service et ensuite
une fois par an.
•L’installation de cet appareil exige une solide expérience pratique : le calcul de la charge
max. de la construction, les matériaux d’installation requis,… Un technicien qualifié doit
vérifier régulièrement la construction portante et l’appareil même. Ne pas essayer
d’installer cet appareil si vous n’avez pas les qualifications requises ; une installation
incorrecte peut entraîner des blessures.
Distances
•Garder une distance d'au moins 20 cm de la partie supérieure et 30 cm de chaque côté.
•Respecter une distance minimum de 1 m entre la sortie lumière de l’appareil et la surface
illuminée.
