CHARGING THE BATTERY PACK
Solar Charging
1. Put the radio in strong sunlight, the solar panel will store the
solar energy in to the rechargeable battery pack automatically.
2. When charging, the charging indicator “ “ will be on.
NOTE: 10-12 hours in the sun will allow about 3-5 hours of play
depending on volume levels.
Crank Charging
1. Pull out the crank in the back of the unit, then turn the
crank. The built-in dynamo will generate electricity and
the unit will store the electric energy into the battery pack
automatically.
2. When charging, the charging indicator “ “ will be on.
NOTE: 90 seconds of cranking will result in 5-7 minutes
of low volume play.
Adaptor Charging
1. Open the rubber cover on the side of the unit. Plug one
end of the matching adaptor cable (not included) into the
AC electronic socket, plug the other end of the adaptor
cable into the < mini USB jack >, the electric energy will
store into the battery pack automatically.
2. When charging, the charging indicator “ “ will be on.
The battery will be full in about 3~4 hours.
USB Charging
1. Plug a USB cable into the < mini USB jack > of the unit and
plug the other end into a computer. The electric energy will
store into the battery automatically.
2. When charging, the charging indicator “ “ will be on.
The battery will be full in about 3~4 hours.

CELL PHONE DUMP CHARGING
Because cell phone batteries vary in their current ratings,
we cannot guarantee charging capabilities or usage time.
1. Set POWER/VOLUME control to OFF position.
2. Plug one port of the USB into your cell phone and the
other port into <USB Cell Phone Charger> of the unit..
3. Set < FM/AM/WB Select Knob> to CELL position.

NOTE: For crank-to-cell phone usage estimate, 10 to 15 minutes of
cranking may result in 1 or more minutes of talk-time. It is important
to turn the crank at least 2 revolutions per second, or until you see
the green LED above the crank handle turn on. This is an indication
that the phone is receiving enough power from the radio. Continue
to crank at this rate until you are satised that an appropriate level
of charge has been received by your cell phone. If you decide to stop
cranking for whatever reason, please wait at least 5 seconds before
beginning to crank again. Not following these instructions may cause
damage to your cell phone for which Eton disclaims any liability and
will not be held liable for any actual or consequential damages related
to this matter.
Using The Light
Press the <Light> button (on the top of the unit) and the
light will be on. Press the button again to turn off the light.
TURNING THE RADIO ON AND OFF
Turn it on with the OFF/VOLUME control.
To turn it off, set the OFF/VOLUME control to OFF.

ADJUSTING THE VOLUME
Set VOLUME control to the desired level.
TUNING IN STATIONS
1. Select your desired band, and then rotate the
< Frequency Knob >. The tuning indicator will be on
when the antenna receives a strong signal.

Plug in earphones (not included). Sound is heard from both
sides in monaural.

To ensure full warranty coverage or product updates,
registration of your product should be completed as soon as
possible after purchase or receipt. You may use one of the

LIMITED WARRANTY
Retain the warranty information from your warranty card with
your proof of purchase or the Limited Warranty information can
also be viewed at www.etoncorp.com.
SERVICE FOR YOUR PRODUCT
To obtain service for your product, we recommend rst
contacting an Etón service representative at 800-872-2228
US, 800-637-1648 Canada or [phone] for problem
determination and trouble-shooting. If further service is
required, the technical staff will instruct how to proceed
based on whether the radio is still under warranty or needs
non-warranty service.
WARRANTY – If your product is still in warranty and
the Etón service representative determines that warranty
service is needed, a return authorization will be issued and
instructions for shipment to an authorized warranty repair
facility. Do Not ship your radio back without obtaining the
return authorization number.
NON-WARRANTY – If your product is no longer under
warranty and requires service our technical staff will refer
you to the nearest repair facility that will be able to best
handle the repair.
For service outside of North America, please refer to the
distributor information included at time of purchase/receipt.

AVERTISSEMENT

RECHARGER LA BATTERIE
Recharge avec le Panneau Solaire
1. Exposez la radio au Soleil. Son panneau solaire convertit
l’énergie solaire et recharge automatiquement la batterie
rechargeable.
2. Pendant la recharge, le voyant de recharge “ “ est allumé.
REMARQUE: 10 à 12 heures de recharge au Soleil permettent une
autonomie de 3 à 5 heures en fonction du volume.
Recharge Manuelle
1. Sortez la manivelle du dos de l’appareil, puis tournez-la.
La dynamo intégrée génère de l’électricité et recharge
automatiquement la batterie interne.
2. Pendant la recharge, le voyant de recharge “ “ est allumé.
REMARQUE: Actionner la manivelle pendant 90 secondes permet une
autonomie de 5 à 7 minutes à faible volume.
Recharge avec Adaptateur
1. Soulevez le capuchon en caoutchouc présent sur le côté
de l’appareil. Branchez l’une des extrémités d’un câble
adapté (non fourni) dans une prise électrique CA, puis
branchez son autre extrémité dans le <port mini USB>. La
batterie se recharge automatiquement.
2. Pendant la recharge, le voyant de recharge “ “ est allumé.
La recharge complète de la batterie nécessite entre 3 et 4
heures.
Recharge USB
1. Branchez un câble USB dans le <port mini USB> de
l’appareil, puis branchez son autre extrémité dans le port
d’un ordinateur. La batterie se recharge automatiquement.

2. Pendant la recharge, le voyant de recharge “ “ est
allumé.
La recharge complète de la batterie nécessite entre 3 et
4 heures.
TRANSFERT DE CHARGE VERS UN
TÉLÉPHONE PORTABLE
Les spécications des batteries de téléphone varient
énormément, nous ne pouvons par conséquent pas garantir
leurs caractéristiques de recharge et d’autonomie.
1. Positionnez le bouton d’ALIMENTATION/VOLUME sur OFF
(hors tension).
2. Branchez l’une des extrémités du câble USB sur votre
téléphone et son autre extrémité sur le <chargeur USB
de téléphone portable> de l’appareil.
3. Positionnez le <Sélecteur de bande FM/AM/WB> sur CELL
(téléphone portable).

REMARQUE: Lors de la recharge d’un téléphone portable avec la
manivelle, actionner la manivelle 10 à 15 minutes permet au minimum
1 minute d’autonomie en communication. Il est important de tourner la
manivelle à une vitesse d’au moins 2 tours/secondes ou sufsamment
vite pour que la LED verte présente au-dessus de la manivelle s’allume.
Cela indique que le téléphone reçoit une alimentation sufsante de
l’appareil. Continuez à tourner la manivelle à la même vitesse jusqu’à
ce que le téléphone soit sufsamment rechargé. Si vous décidez
d’arrêter de tourner la manivelle pour quelque raison que ce soit,
attendez au minimum 5 secondes avant de recommencer à la tourner.
Le non-respect de ces instructions peut provoquer la détérioration

de votre téléphone portable, détérioration pour laquelle Eton rejette
toute responsabilité, ainsi que pour tous dommages consécutifs ou
réels qui y seraient liés.
Utiliser la Lampe
Appuyez sur le bouton <Lampe> (situé au-dessus de
l’appareil) pour allumer la lampe. Appuyez à nouveau sur le
bouton pour éteindre la lampe.
ALLUMER ET ÉTEINDRE LA RADIO
Tournez le bouton d’ALIMENTATION/VOLUME pour allumer
la radio.
Tournez-le sur OFF (hors tension) pour éteindre la radio.
RÉGLER LE VOLUME
Réglez le volume en tournant le bouton d’ALIMENTATION/
VOLUME.
RÉGLER LA FRÉQUENCE
1. Sélectionnez une bande radio, puis tournez le <Bouton
de réglage de la fréquence>. Le voyant de réception
s’allume quand un signal sufsamment fort est reçu par
l’appareil.

Branchez des écouteurs (non fournis). Le signal sonore
transmis aux écouteurs droit et gauche est monophonique .

Si une intervention complémentaire est nécessaire, l’équipe
technique vous indiquera la façon de procéder suivant que
la radio est toujours sous garantie ou si elle nécessite une
intervention hors garantie.

GARANTIE – Si votre produit est toujours sous garantie et
si le représentant du service clientele de Etón juge
nécessaire une réparation garantie, une autorisation
de retour sera délivrée ainsi que les instructions pour
l’expédition à un atelier agréé pour la réparation sous
garantie. NE RENVOYEZ PAS votre radio sans avoir obtenu le
numéro d’autorisation de retour.
HORS GARANTIE – Si votre produit n’est plus sous
garantie et nécessite une reparation, notre équipe technique
vous adressera à l’atelier de réparation le plus proche qui
sera apte à réaliser au mieux la réparation.
Pour une réparation hors de l’Amérique du Nord, veuillez
vous reporter à l’information sur les distributeurs qui vous a
été fournie lors de l’achat/réception.
