ASSEMBLY INSTRUCTIONS
N!ERGY PORTABLE CANOPY
Component List: 1 Canopy Top, 1 Frame Assembly, 1 Carry Bag
w/Wheels, 1 Pre-Installed Wiring Harness w/ Switch, 4 Nailhead
Stakes, 4 Guy Out Skewers, 4 Attached Guy Out Cords
NOTE:
Do not drop carry bag. Do not bounce the bag on its end to get
the frame out. These actions may damage the electrical components.
Although it is possible to raise this structure by yourself; it is much easier
and faster if you have help.
Rev B 4.09
Expand the Frame:
• Open the carry bag, remove the frame and top. Lay the top aside and
stand the frame up, near its final location
• With one person at Aand another at B, lift the poles and step back to
pull the legs out and away from the center. See fig. 1. Move to Cand D
and again lift and pull the
legs out and away. Work
back and forth between
AB and CD, until the
frame is extended as
shown in g. 2
• If you are working alone,
pull the frame apart as
best you can and then
drive a nailhead stake
through the hole in the
baseplate of one of the
legs. See g. 3. Work your
way from corner, pulling
out and away from the
staked leg
• Continue until the frame
is extended as shown in
g. 2
Raise the Perimeter and
Roof Rafters:
• At each corner, lift the
bottom section of the
perimeter rafter until the
lock button on the leg
clicks into its seat in the
collar. See g. 4 & 5. Take
care that the collar truly
captures the button,
otherwise the roof will
slide back down.
• Continue with the rest of
the perimeter rafters
until all corners are
locked in place and the
roof is extended as
shown in g. 6
Secure the Structure to the Ground:
• Drive a nailhead stake through the
holes in the baseplates at the
bottom of the legs. See fig. 12
• Use the skewers to stake
the guyout cords and
adjust tension with the
attached sliders. See g. 13
Attach the Canopy Top to the Frame:
• Lay the fabric on the ground with the top facing
up and square to the frame.
• Grasp the two canopy corners closest to the frame
and drag them up and over the roof to the frame
corners on the opposite side. Take care that the
electrical plugs do not get caught on the frame as
you tug the canopy
• At each corner, fit the fabric snug to the frame.
Align the guy gusset to the top of the frame and
at a 45˚ angle from the leg. See fig. 7
• Move inside, under the canopy. Wrap each pair of
Velcro® hook pads from the inside corners of the
canopy to the loops near the top of the corner
poles. See g. 8
• Attach all remaining Velcro® tabs to the perimeter
and roof rafters. See fig. 9
Raise the Legs:
• Station one person
at each leg on one
side of the frame.
Lift the legs and
press the button on
the black collar to
release the inside
section. See g. 10.
Allow the inside
sections to fall to one of the three lock
points. Make sure that the legs are the
same height and that they are locked in
place. See g.11
• Repeat with the remaining two legs
