3.1 Connecteurs
Il existe trois types de prises pour les connexions vidéo - télévision : BNC,
CINCH ou PÉRITEL (SCART). Le câble de l’appareil est un BNC-BNC, un
adaptateur BNC-Cinch est fourni comme accessoire. Les câbles Péritel sont
disponibles séparément.
Les moniteurs Vidéo à haute résolution, tout comme les projecteurs LCD, ont
habituellement une entrée S-Vidéo avec une prise dite YC (mini DIN). Le
connecteur Cinch-BNC peut aussi être utilisé avec des appareils
photographiques numériques quand le câble BNC est branché sur la prise
jaune de l’adaptateur USB.
4 Précautions
Ne jamais placer l’appareil au soleil sans protection!
Ne jamais toucher l’élément CCD directement avec les doigts.

Commutateur AI / DD : Lors de l’utilisation de la lentille Iris vidéo, placer le
commutateur en position “Al”, et en position “DD” pour l’utilisation de l’iris
automatique.
Commutateur de niveau : Pendant l’utilisation de la lentille Iris vidéo
automatique, l’intensité de la lumière peut être ajustée avec ce commutateur.

7 Utilisation de l’appareil
UTILISATION DE L’APPAREIL AVEC UN MICROSCOPE ET UN ÉCRAN DE
TÉLÉVISION.
7.1 Installation du microscope
Installer le microscope avec une préparation, comme pour une utilisation
normale. Effectuer la mise au point avec le grossissement le plus faible.
7.2 Installation de l’appareil
Sortir la caméra de sa mallette et retirer le capuchon de l’objectif.
Visser l’adaptateur (non livré) dans le pas de vis à l’avant de l’appareil.
Brancher le câble BNC ou S-Vidéo (SVHS) dans la prise située sur la face
arrière de l’appareil.
Brancher la prise du transformateur (DC 12V) sur une prise du secteur et de
l’autre côté à la prise “power in“ sur la face arrière de l’appareil.
Glisser avec précaution l’appareil et l’adaptateur dans le phototube du
microscope.
7.3 Connexion à la télévision ou à un moniteur
vidéo
Brancher le câble à fiche BNC de l’appareil à la prise “vidéo out” du panneau
arrière de l’appareil. Utilisez l’adaptateur Cinch / BNC si le moniteur a une
prise Cinch.
Brancher le moniteur à l’alimentation électrique et le mettre en marche.
Sur la télévision, sélectionner la chaîne vidéo.
7.4 Réglage de la mise au point
La face avant de la caméra est équipée d’une monture CS dotée d’un pas de
vis. L’anneau est ajustable en hauteur par rapport au capteur. Libérer l’anneau
en desserrant la vis avec la clé Allen. Utiliser ensuite un tournevis plat en
l’insérant dans l’anneau pour ajuster la hauteur. Resserrer ensuite à nouveau
l’ensemble. De cette manière, on peut modifier la distance de travail de
l’objectif utilisé ou ajuster le réglage à l’infini.

8 Accessoires pour la microscopie
La caméra est pourvue d’un pas de vis de monture C qui permet de fixer
divers adaptateurs reliant la caméra à un microscope.

3.1 Connectors
There are 3 types for plugs available for video connections of TV sets ; NC,
CINCH or SCART. The camera cable has a BNC plus, a BNC/Cinch adapter is
supplied as accessory. There are BNC/ Scart cables available separately.
Video monitors wih a high resolution and also LCD projectors usually have a
Video-S inlet with a socalled YC (mini DIN) plug. The BNC/Cinch connector is
also used for digital camera when the BNC cable is connected with the yellow
plug of the USB adapter.
4 Precautions
Never place the camera in direct sunlight !
Never touch the CCD element with bear fingers !

5 Dimensions (in mm) and specifications
Switch AI-DD: When a “Video Iris Lens” is used, set the switch to the “Al”
position, for the use of an “Auto Iris Lens” to the “DD” position.
Level switch: When using an “Auto Iris Lens”, its light intensity can be adjusted
with this lever switch.

7 Working with the camera
TAKING THE CAMERA INTO USE WITH A MICROSCOPE AND TV /
MONITOR.
7.1 Setting up the microscope
Set up the microscope with a slide for normal use.
Focus sharply on the specimen using the lowest magnification.
Set the phototube to receive the image.
7.2 Setting up the camera
Take a camera out of its packing and remove the lens cap.
Screw the adapter (optional) into the front thread of the camera.
Connect the BNC or YC (SVHS) cable in the right connector on the back panel
of the camera.
Connect the plug transformer (DC 12V) to the mains supply, and the other side
to the “power in” connector on the back panel of the camera.
Carefully slide the camera with adapter into the photo tube of the microscope.
7.3 Connection to a TV or video-monitor
Connect the camera cable with the BNC plug to the “video in” connector on the
back panel of the camera. Use the BNC / Cinch adapter when the monitor has
a Cinch connector.
Connect the monitor to the mains supply and switch it on.
On a TV, the video channel (0) should be selected.
7.5 Backfocus adjustment
The front of the camera has a CS mount with screw thread. This ring is
adjustable in height against the sensor. Release the ring by loosening the set
screw by means of the allen key. Now take a flat driver, insert it into the ring to
adjust its height. Than tighten the set screw again. Bu doing this, one can
change the working distance of the objective used, or one can adjust the
infinity setting.

adapters can be screwed in order to connect the camera to a microscope.
