When using this appliance, basic precautions should always be followed, including
the following:

1. To reduce the risk of contact with hot water emitting from the steam vents, check applian-
ce before each use by holding and facing it away from body and depress steam button
in a safe place.
2. Use appliance only for its intended use.
3. This appliance is intended for household and residential use only . This product is not
approved for commercial applications.
4. To protect against a risk of electric shock, do not immerse the appliance in water or other
liquids.

16. When you must be away even for a short time, turn of f the iron, put it on his iron rest
and always unplug the power cord from the outlet. W ait for the soleplate to cool down
completely before cleaning it.
17. If you press the steam button before the iron is hot, it is possible that hot water comes

SPECIAL INSTRUCTIONS
If an extension cord is absolutely necessary, a 15 amperage cord should be used.
Cords rated for less amperage may overheat. Care should be taken to arrange the
cord so that it cannot be pulled or tripped over unintentionally. To avoid a circuit
overload, do not operate another high wattage appliance on the same circuit.

1. Water
The Eurosteam® Iron is designed to use regular tap water. Never use 100% distilled water
as this may lead to damage inside the tank.
About Softened Water and Well Water
Many types of water contain naturally high levels of sodium, iron, mineral and organic mat-
ter. If these collect inside the tank it can eventually appear as brown stains or can cause
\RXU(XURVWHDPWRVSLWGXULQJXVH,I\RXH[SHULHQFHWKLVW\SHRISUREOHP\RXVKRXOGWU\
XVLQJLQH[SHQVLYHERWWOHGVSULQJZDWHU
Never use water that has any additives such as starch, perfume or fabric conditioner . The
additives can affect the tank, at high temperatures deposits can form and emit stains and
cause blockage of the steam vents.
2. Filling the water tank
Fill water tank while the Eurosteam® is unplugged and cool. Move the lock/unlock selector

At the end of every use be sure to drain the tank by letting all steam out. Hold down the
steam button and wait until steaming has stopped. Turn the temperature control knob to
³PLQ´8QSOXJLWIURPWKHHOHFWULFRXWOHWPut the iron on its iron rest and let it cool. Empty the
WDQNRSHQWKHZDWHU¿OOLQJFRYHUUHYHUVHWKHLURQDQGOHWWKHZDWHUGUDLQ:UDSWKHSRZHU
cord around the iron without pulling it too tight. Put the appliance back on top of a stable
surface and out of the reach of children.

3. On and Off

may notice a delay in the formation of steam: this is normal and is due
to water entering into circulation in the iron. You may need to press the
steam and spray button several times for their proper operation.

Follow the instructions on the care label of the garment to be ironed. Make the dots shown
on the iron correspond to those shown on the label.
If the iron is left inactive for a long time, before ironing it is recommended to hold it level and

6. Spray button

Press the spray button. It may be necessary to press the spray button repeatedly to activate
this function.
7. Vertical ironing
This special ironing procedure serves to remove creases from curtains, fabrics, etc. Set the

Do not iron fabrics held by other people.

8. Cleaning
We recommend that the following cleaning instructions be carried out
every 2-3 months or if you notice any water drops leaking out of the
soleplate of the Eurosteam®iron.
Clean plastic parts with a damp, non-abrasive cloth and dry them with
a dry cloth.
Soleplate
Before cleaning the iron be sure that the unit is disconnected from the power supply and that
the iron is completely cooled down. Do not use abrasives on the soleplate. Deposits and
other residues on the soleplate can be removed with a cloth soaked in a vinegar and water
solution. Keep the soleplate smooth by avoiding contact with hard or abrasive surfaces.

For a Self Clean System... Fill the water tank for a quarter using the measuring cup provided.
Fill the tank up to the level marked MAX. Put the iron on its iron rest. Plug into the mains

*Cleaning the appliance is important to the performance of the iron*
Before using the iron again, try it on an old piece of cloth
to make sure that the soleplate and tank are clean and to
allow residual water to vaporize.
TIP

Place the iron on its iron rest and wait that the plate cools completely. Make sure that
the soleplate is completely dry before storing the iron.
The warranty does not cover damage caused by clogging due to
lime.
To prolong the life of your iron, we recommend that this procedure
be carried out at regular intervals (once or twice a month).

blanches sortent de la semelle; il s’agit d’un phénomène normal qui di-

Lors de la première utilisation du fer, il se peut que la vapeur mette du
temps à se former: il s’agit d’un phénomène normal dû au fait que l’eau
commence juste à circuler dans le fer. Il pourrait s’avérer nécessaire
