IMPORTANT SAFETY INSTRUCTIONS
When using this appliance, basic precautions should always be followed, including
the following:
READ ALL INSTRUCTIONS BEFORE USING THIS APPLIANCE.
1. To reduce the risk of contact with hot water emitting from the steam vents, check applian-
ce before each use by holding and facing it away from body and depress steam button
in a safe place.
2. Use appliance only for its intended use.
3. This appliance is intended for household and residential use only. This product is not
approved for commercial applications.
4. To protect against a risk of electric shock, do not immerse the appliance in water or other
liquids.
5.Removethe main plugfrom the wallsocket before llingthe tank withwater, before
emptying the tank, when you are not using the appliance, if disturbances occur during
use, after use as well as during thunderstorms and before cleaning the appliance. Never
yank the cord to disconnect from power surge protected bar, instead grasp plug and pull
to disconnect.
6.Alwaysdisconnectappliancefrompowersurgeprotectedbarwhenllingwithwateror
emptying when not in use.
7. Do not allow cord to touch hot surfaces. Let iron cool completely before putting away.
Loop cord loosely around iron when storing.
8. Do not operate appliance with a damaged cord, or if the appliance has been dropped or
damaged.
9. If cord is damaged it must be replaced by manufacturer, its service agent or similarly
qualiedtechnicianinordertoavoidahazard.
10. To avoid the risk of electric shock, do not disassemble the appliance. Take or ship to a

11. In the event the iron is not operating properly, disconnect the iron from the electrical

12. Not intended for use by children. Close supervision is necessary for any appliance being
usednearchildren.Unsupervisedusecanresultinreorpersonalinjury.Donotleave
appliance unattended while plugged in, on an ironing board or while it is still hot.
13. Burns can occur from touching hot metal parts, hot water or steam. Use caution when
you turn a steam generator upside down as there may be hot water in the reservoir.
14. Never attempt to unscrew the boiler cap while the appliance is in use. The strong steam
pressure could result in burns. Only unscrew the cap when generator is cool or there is
no more pressure in the boiler. (No steam when the steam button is pressed)
15. Always use your cap remover to unscrew the safety cap.

16. Always release all steam from boiler by holding down steam button.
17. Before operating this appliance be sure that the boiler screw cap is in place. An incor-
rectly or missing screw cap could easily allow the steam to emit and lead to scalding.
18. The iron must be used on a stable surface and always put down on a stable, level sur-
face so that it cannot fall down.
19. Put the iron in a vertical position if not on an ironing board holder, or heat resistant mat
and wait for the soleplate to cool down completely before cleaning it.
20.Neverdroporinsertanyobjectintoanyopening(electricalorotherwise)anddonotuse
if one of the openings is blocked in any way.
21. Do not use outdoors.
22.Donotoperatewhereaerosol(spray)productsarebeingusedorwhereoxygenisbeing
administered.
23. Clean the appliance with only a dry or slightly damp cloth.
24. This appliance is not intended for use by persons (including children) with reduced

SPECIAL INSTRUCTIONS
If an extension cord is absolutely necessary, a 15 amperage cord should be used.
Cords rated for less amperage may overheat. Care should be taken to arrange the
cord so that it cannot be pulled or tripped over unintentionally. To avoid a circuit
overload, do not operate another high wattage appliance on the same circuit.

1. Water
The Eurosteam® Iron is designed to use regular tap water. Never use 100% distilled water
as this may lead to damage inside the boiler.
About Softened Water and Well Water
Many types of water contain naturally high levels of sodium, iron, mineral and organic mat-
ter. If these collect inside the boiler it can eventually appear as brown stains or can cause
yourEurosteam®tospitduringuse.Ifyouexperiencethistypeofproblemyoushouldtry
usinginexpensivebottledspringwater.
Never use water that has any additives such as starch, perfume or fabric conditioner. The
additives can affect the boiler, at high temperatures deposits can form and emit stains and
cause blockage of the steam vents.
2. Filling internal Water/Boiler Tank
Fill water tank while the Eurosteam® is unplugged and cool. Place your iron on a stable sur-
faceinhorizontalposition.Usingmeasuringcup(170cc),llyourwater/boilertank.Remove
thesafetycapoftheboiler.Insertthetubeofthemeasuringcupintotheholeandllthe
boiler. Place safety cap in position and tightened, by turning until it stops and then tighten
slightly without applying too much pressure to avoid breaking the O-ring. Plug the unit into a
power surge bar. Put the iron in a vertical position, if not on an ironing board iron holder or
heat resistant mat and wait for the indicator light to shut off.
Ifunitisoverlled,watermayleakand/orspurtfromtheironplateholesatthebeginningof
theironingsessionwhenyourstdepressthesteambutton.
At the end of every use be sure to drain the boiler by letting all steam out. Hold down the
steam button and wait until steaming has stopped, unplug and wait for unit to cool. Remove
safety cap using the provided cap remover and hold upside down to drain any remaining
water. Store in a safe place with safety cap off, allowing the boiler to breathe.
USING YOUR EUROSTEAM®
Water in your boiler? This is normal as each Eurosteam® Platinum com-
pact Iron is factory tested for quality purposes.
Beforeyouuseyourironfortheveryrsttimeyouwillneedtoprimetheunitto
ensure that your Eurosteam® iron is in optimal working order. You will only need
toperformthisprocedureonce,priortoitsrstuse.
Fillyourmeasuringcuptojustslightlybelowthemaxlineand,usingmeasuringcup,ll
your boiler tank. Screw on your safety cap with your cap remover. Plug unit in, and wait for
ready light to turn off. Direct the iron in a safe direction, then hold down the steam button
and continue holding the steam button to allow the full tank of steam to run out of iron. When
completed let unit cool completely.

3. On and Off
To turn on your Eurosteam® iron, place the iron in a vertical position, if not placing on an
ironing board iron holder, or heat resistant mat. Always ensure the iron is on a stable surfa-
ce, and plug into a power surge protection bar. The indicator light will switch on. When the
indicator light turns off the Eurosteam® is ready for use. The indicator light will go on and off
through out the ironing session, it indicates that the boiler is constantly heating and pressu-
rizingthewaterforoptimalperformanceandisnormal.
Duringironing,yourEurosteamcanberestbothinhorizontalandverticalposition.Ifyou
restitinhorizontalposition,pleasetakecaretouseanironingboardironholderoraniron
heat resistant mat.
To turn off, carefully grasp plug and remove from power surge protection bar. Allow iron to
resthorizontallyorverticallyonlyonastablesurface,suchasanironingboardironholder
or a heat resistant mat, until completely cool. Remove safety cap and drain remaining water
from boiler tank. Store iron in a safe place with safety cap off.
4. Filling the Tank while using the Iron
Ifyouneedtolltheboilerduringanironingsession,removetheplugfromthepowersurge
protection bar and fully depress the steam button to let out all residual steam. Slowly un-
screw the safety cap, this is made easier with the use of the cap remover. SLOWLY pour a
small amount of water into the tank with the measuring cup, 2-3 times, and allow the steam
tocomeoutthellingtube,thenllboilerasusual.Screwthesafetycapontightly,insert
plug into power surge protection bar and steam will commence in a short time. Do not over
llthetank,itsmaximumcapacityisequaltotheMAXlevelofthemeasuringcup,170cc
(justunder1cup).
USING THE EUROSTEAM®IRON
*IMPORTANT*
NEVER unscrew the safety cap while the Eurosteam®iron is producing steam
and the boiler is under pressure. This could lead to burning and or scalding.
*For best ironing results use a mesh-type ironing board to allow
excess steam to escape.
*Always rest your Eurosteam®iron on stable surface.
*Do not let soleplate contact anything that could scratch or
damage the soleplate, such as zippers or metal studs.

5. Cleaning
We recommend that the following cleaning instructions be carried out
every 2-3 months or if you notice any water drops leaking out of the
soleplate of the Eurosteam®iron.
Soleplate
Before cleaning the iron be sure that the unit is disconnected from the power supply and that
the iron is completely cooled down. Do not use abrasives on the soleplate. Deposits and
other residues on the soleplate can be removed with a cloth soaked in a vinegar and water
solution. Keep the soleplate smooth by avoiding contact with hard or abrasive surfaces.
Boiler Tank
Foraquickcleaning...Filltheironwithwater,usingyourmeasurecup,tojustbelowthemax
line. Place the safety cap on and tighten till closed, plug the unit into a power surge protec-
tion bar and allow the unit to heat up. When the indicator light shuts off, unplug the unit from
the power source and let sit for 10 minutes. Shake vigorously in all directions and allow to
cool for 10 minutes more. Unscrew safety cap and empty contents into a sink; holding the
unit away from you. Use caution as water may still be hot. You should see mineral deposits
(smallwhiteorgreyakes)whichisnormal.
Foradeepcleaning...Usingyourmeasuringcuplltoslightlybelowmaxlinewith1/2vi-
negarand1/2water.Besurethattankiscompletelyemptyandllwithvinegarandwater
solution. Place safety cap on tightly, and plug into a power surge protection bar. Let unit
heat up until indicator light goes off. Unplug from power source, let sit for 10 minutes and
then shake vigorously. Let cool for another 10 minutes, depress and hold down the steam
button until no more steam comes out. Unscrew safety cap and empty tank contents. This
may need to be done several times depending on how long since the last cleaning and the
type of water used. To complete, rinse tank with clear water until vinegar odour dissipates.

Why is my iron leaking water?
*Boiler has not been primed, see top of page 5 for instructions
*Indicator light is on while pushing the steam button, wait for indicator light to go out before
ironing

*Iron safety cap may not be tight enough
*The iron is cooling down due to not using the iron immediately after the indicator light shuts
off (As a safety feature the Eurosteam®willautomaticallydroptemperatureafterapproxima-
tely 1-2 minutes of non-usage, holding the steam button down until the indicator light comes
on and wait for the indicator light to shut off and it is once again ready for use immediately).
Why do i have to empty my iron after every use?
Youshouldemptyyourironaftereachuse.Thiswillensurethatwhenyouusetheironnext,
itwillnotbeoverlledandanyremainingwaterinsideyourironmaycalcifyinsidetheiron.
This will require you to clean your iron more frequently.
What water do i use to ll the iron?
Please refer to page 5 section 1
Why does my iron run out of steam quickly?
We do suggest to use your steam button only on demand. Two seconds of depressing the
buttonproducesfour(4)toeight(8)goodsecondsofsteamprojections.Bypressingthis
buttonintermittently(onceevery5-10seconds)thiswillallowyoutogetjustasmuchsteam
asifyourcontinuous/nonstopsteamison.Onceyouhavemasteredthis,youwillnevergo
back to any other iron!
How do i clean my iron?
See page 7 section 5
Why does the indicator light come on while the iron is in use?
When the water inside the boiler begins to cool, the indicator light will come on indicating
that the iron is heating. Once the water in the boiler reaches the optimal temperature, the
indicator light will shut off. It is very normal to see it repeating itself. Especially if you are
ironingformorethan10minutesatatime,justkeepironing.

Why does my iron loose pressure while steaming?
As you use the steam button, the pressure within the boiler is decreasing. You may notice
your iron slightly losing pressure when you are priming the boiler. Or if the indicator light
has come on, you may choose to allow your iron to rebuild the pressure until the indicator
light goes off.
Why is my iron heating, but not producing any steam?
*Ensure that there is water inside the boiler
*Your iron may need to be cleaned. See page 7 section 5 for cleaning instructions
Why is steam leaking from the screw cap when i turn my iron on?
*O-ring may need to be replaced. Remove O-ring from base of safety cap and replace with
O-ring provided.
*The screw cap may not be on tight enough
*When the iron is left on non continuous steam mode without releasing the steam button re-
gularly after indicator lamp shuts off for prolonged periods of time (10 minutes or longer) the
iron’s built in safety feature will release the steam through the screw plug. We encourage
quilters and sewers to please press the steam button every 10 minutes or so when
not in use, this will ensure the iron to be ready when you are.
Why is my handle getting hot?
Your Eurosteam® Platinum compact handle will get fairly warm, however it should never be-
come too hot to hold. Your iron’s handle may feel warm due long periods of on with no use,
leaving the iron to steam continuously or steam leaking from the safety cap (see above).
If none of the above correct the problem please do not use your iron and contact

INSTRUCTIONS SPÉCIFIQUES
Lorsqu’un cordon prolongateur est absolument nécessaire, utiliser un cordon prolon-
gateur de 15 ampères. Les cordons dont l’intensité nominale est inférieure peuvent
surchauffer. Veiller à placer le cordon de manière à ce qu’il ne puisse pas être tiré ou
faire trébucher quelqu’un. Pour éviter de surcharger le circuit, ne pas utiliser d’appareil
à haute intensité sur le même circuit.

1. L’eau
Le fer à repasser EurosteamMDaétéconçupourutiliserdel’eaudurobinetnormale.N’uti-
lisezjamaisd’eaudistilléeà100%carcelapeutendommagerl’intérieurdelachaudière.
Ausujetdel’eauadoucieetdel’eaudepuits.
Plusieurstypes d’eaucontiennentdes niveauxnaturellement élevésdesodium, defer,
de minéraux et de matière organique. Lorsque ceux-ci s’accumulent à l’intérieur de la
chaudière,ilspeuventapparaîtresousformedetachesbrunesoufaire«cracher»votre
EurosteamMDpendantsonutilisation.Sivousconstatezcetypedeproblème,vousdevriez
essayerd’utiliserdel’eaudesourceembouteilléebonmarché.
N’utilisezjamaisdel’eaucontenantdesadditifstelsquedel’amidon,duparfumetdel’as-
souplissant.Cesadditifspeuventaffecterlachaudièreet,àhautetempérature,peuvent
formerdesdépôts,produiredestachesetobstruerlepassagedelavapeur.
2. Remplir le réservoir de la chaudière
Remplissezleréservoirpendantquel’Eurosteam
MD
estdébranchéetfroid.Placervotrefer
surunesurfacestable,enpositionhorizontale.Àl’aidedelatasseàmesurer(max170cc),
remplissezleréservoird’eauetdelachaudière.Retirerlecapuchondesécuritédelachau-
dière.Introduireletuyaududoseurdansletrouetremplirlachaudière.Vissezlecapuchonde
sécuritéenplacejusqu’àcequ’ilarrête,puisserrezdoucementdanstropappliquerdepres-
sionpouréviterquelejointtoriqueserompe.Brancherl’appareilàunemultipriseaveclimi-
teur de surtension. Disposer le fer à la verticale, ou sur le support de la planche à repasser, ou
suruntapisrepose-ferrésistantàlachaleur,puisattendrequelevoyantlumineuxs’éteigne.
Sil’appareilesttroprempli,ilsepeutqu’audébutdurepassagel’eaufuieet/ougicleà
travers les trous de la semelle lorsqu’on appuie sur le bouton à vapeur.
Aprèschaqueutilisation,veillezàviderlachaudièreenlaissants’échappertoutelavapeur.Appuyer
surleboutondelavapeuretattendrequelasortiedevapeurs’arrête;débrancheretattendrele
refroidissementdel’appareil.Enleverlebouchondesécuritéàl’aidedudévisseurfournietrenver-
serleferpourévacuertoutel’eaurestanteàl’intérieur.Rangezleferàrepasserdansunendroitsûr
sansquelecapuchondesécuritésoitvissé,andepermettreàlachaudièrederespirer.

Avantdel’utiliserpourlatoutepremièrefois,
vousdevezamorcervotreferàrepasserenyajoutantdel’eauandevousassurerqu’ilestenbon
étatdefonctionnement.Vousn’aurezàeffectuercetteprocédurequ’uneseulefois,justeavantsatoute
premièreutilisation.
Remplissezvotretasseàmesurertoutjusteau-dessousdelalignemaximumetremplissezleréservoir
devotrechaudière.Visserlecapuchondesécuritéavecledévisseur.Branchezleferàrepasser,mettez-
leenmarcheetattendezquelevoyant«prêt»s’allume.Tournerleferàrepasserdansunedirection
sûrepuispresserleboutondelavapeuretrestersurcettepositionjusqu’àcequetoutelavapeurconte-
nuedansleréservoirsoitressortie.Unefoisceprocessusterminé,laissezl’appareilrefroidircomplète-
ment.VousêtesmaintenantprêteàutiliservotreferàrepasserEurosteamMD.

3. Marche et Arrêt
Pour mettre l’Eurosteam® en marche, placer le fer en position verticale au cas où il n’y aurait
pasdesupportsurlaplancheàrepassernidetapisrepose-ferrésistantàlachaleur.Toujour
s’assurerqueleferestdisposésurunesurfacestableetquelapriseestbranchéeàunemulti-
prise avec une protection contre les surtensions.
Levoyantlumineuxs’allume.L’EurosteamMDestprêtàêtreutilisélorsquelevoyantlumineux
s’éteint.Levoyantlumineuxs’allumeraets’éteindratoutaulongdelaséancederepassage,ce
quiindiquequelachaudièreestconstammententraindechaufferetdepressuriserl’eaupour
une performance optimale et cela est parfaitement normal. Durant le repassage, l’EurosteamMD
peutêtreutiliséenpositionhorizontaleouverticale.Sionlaisselefersurunepositionhorizon-
tale,veilleràutiliserlerepose-ferdelaplancheàrepasseroud’untapisrésistantàlachaleur.
Pourarrêterleferàrepasser,saisissezlacheavezsoinetretirez-ladublocmultipriseavec
protecteurdesurtension.Nelaisserleferenpositionhorizontaleouverticalequesilasur-
faceeststable,commecelled’unrepose-ferpourplancheàrepasseroud’untapisrésistant
àlachaleur,dansl’attentequ’ilaitcomplètementrefroidi.Retirerlecapuchondesécuritéet
purgertoutel’eaurestantedansleréservoirdelachaudière.Rangerleferàrepasserdans
unendroitsûrsansquelecapuchondesécuritésoitvissé.
4. Remplir le réservoir pendant que vous utilisez le fer à repasser
Sivousdevezremplirlachaudièrependantuneséancederepassage,retirezlachedubloc
multipriseavecprotecteurdesurtensionetenfoncezcomplètementleboutondevapeurpour
permettreàtoutelavapeurrésiduelledes’échapper.Dévissezlentementlecapuchondesécu-
rité(ledévisseurdecapuchonrougevousfaciliteralatâche).Versezunepetitequantitéd’eau
LENTEMENTdansleréservoir,àl’aidedudoseur,2ou3fois,etlaissezlavapeursortirdu
tubederemplissage,puisremplissezlachaudièrecommevouslefaitesnormalement.Vissez
fermementlecapuchondesécurité,insérezlachedansleblocmultipriseavecprotecteurde
surtensionetlavapeursereproduiradansunbrefdélai.Nepasremplirleréservoirau-delàde
sacapacité,sachantquesacapacitémaximaleestégaleàcelledelatasseàmesurer,quicor-
respondàlalignemaximalede170cc(toutjusteendeçàd’unetasse).
Nous recommandons que les instructions de nettoyage suivantes soient effectuées tous les 2 à
3 mois ou lorsque vous remarquez des gouttes d’eau qui sortent de la semelle de l’Eurosteam.

*IMPORTANT*
Ne JAMAIS dévisser le capuchon de sécurité lorsque le fer à repasser EurosteamMD dégage de
la vapeur et que la chaudière est sous pression. Vous pourriez vous brûler ou vous ébouillanter.
*Pour de meilleurs résultats de repassage, utiliser une planche à repasser en toile
pour permettre à la vapeur excédentaire de s’échapper.
*Toujours laisser le fer EurosteamMD sur une surface stable.
*Ne jamais laisser la semelle entrer en contact avec un objet qui pourrait l’égratigner
ou l’endommager, tels que les fermetures à glissière et les boutons en métal.

5. Nettoyage
Il est conseillé d’exécuter le nettoyage tous les 2-3 mois, selon
la procédure décrite dans la notice, ou si on remarque que des
gouttes d’eau passent à travers la semelle du fer Eurosteam®
Semelle
Avantdenettoyerleferàrepasser,assurez-vousquel’appareilestdébranchédelaprise
d’alimentationetqueleferàrepasserarefroidi.N’utilisezpasd’abrasifssurlasemelle.
Lesdépôtsetautresrésidussurlasemellepeuventêtreéliminésavecunchiffontrempé
dansunesolutiondevinaigreetd’eau.Gardezlasurfacedelasemellelisseenévitantles
contacts avec les surfaces dures et les abrasifs.
Réservoir de la chaudière
Pour un nettoyage rapide … Remplir le fer à l’aide de la mesurette en versant de l’eau
jusqu’endessusdelaligneduniveaumaximum.Mettrelebouchondesécuritéenplaceet
levisserjusqu’àcequ’ilsoitbloqué.Brancherl’appareilàunemultipriseaveclimiteurde
surtensionetlaisserleferchauffer.Unefoisquelevoyantlumineuxs’éteint,débrancher
l’appareil de la source d’alimentation et laisser reposer 10 minutes. Secouer vigoureuse-
mentleferdanstouteslesdirectionsetlelaisserrefroidir10minutesencore.Dévisser
lebouchondesécuritéetviderlecontenudansl’évier;tenirl’appareilàdistancedesoi.
Prendrelesprécautionsnécessairescarl’eaupourraitêtrebrûlante.Desdépôtsdecalcaire
(petitesécaillesblanchesougrises)peuventseformer,cequiestnormal.
Pourunnettoyageenprofondeur…Pourmélangercettesolution,remplirlatasseàmesurertout
justesouslalignemaximumavecunequantitéégaledevinaigreblancetd’eau.Assurez-vous
queleréservoirestcomplètementvide,puislerempliraveclasolutioncomposéedevinaigre
etd’eau.Visserlecapuchondesécuritéfermementetpuisbranchez-leaublocmultipriseavec
protecteurdesurtension.Laisserl’appareilchaufferjusqu’àcequelevoyantlumineuxs’éteigne.
Ensuite,débrancherlaprisedelasourced’alimentation,laisserreposer10minutesetlesecouer
avecvigueur.Laissez-lerefroidirencore10minutes,enfoncerleboutondevapeuretmaintenez-
leenfoncéjusqu’àcequeplusaucunevapeurnesortedel’appareil.Dévisserlecapuchonde
sécuritéetviderlecontenuduréservoir.Vouspourriezdevoirfairecelaplusieursfoisenfonction
dutempsécoulédepuislenettoyageprécédentetdutyped’eauutilisée.Pourterminer,rincerle
réservoiravecdel’eauclairejusqu’àcequel’odeurdevinaigresedissipe.
