1. IMPORTANT SAFETY GUIDELINES
1. Before connecting the appliance to the mains, make sure the voltage of your appliance
indicated on the rating plate corresponds to the local voltage.
2. Do not move or unplug the appliance by pulling on the cord.
3. In order to disconnect the device power supply, pull on the plug, NOT the cable.
4. Only use the appliance on a stable surface.
5. Do not insert any objects into the device openings as they could come into contact with
live electrical components or cause a short circuit and there would be a risk of
electrocution or fire.
6. Do not subject it to strong impacts and do not throw it.
7. Do not drop, short-circuit, modify, disassemble or puncture it.
8. Unplug the device from the wall and hire a qualified professional to carry out the repair in
the following cases:
a. If the power cord or plug becomes damaged.
b. If the device is not functioning properly.
c. If the device has fallen or suffered any damage and no longer functions as
before.
9. If a part needs to be replaced, ensure that the technician uses the replacement part
specified by the manufacturer or a part with the same characteristics as the original part.
The replacement of any parts with unauthorised parts can result in fire, electrocution or
other dangers.
10. All repairs should be done by a qualified technician.
11. Keep it away from heat sources, direct sunlight, humidity, water or other liquids.
12. Do not operate it under high temperature.
13. Do not immerse in water.
14. Disconnect it from USB connector after completion charge.
15. In case of abnormalities (bulge, heat, etc.) during charging, disconnect USB connector,
stop using it and take it to a qualified technician.
16. Do not use the device if the temperature is below -10C°or higher than 55°C.
Your device transmits and receives radio frequencies around 2.4Ghz. In environments such as
Airports, Hospitals, and Oxygen or flammable gas laden atmospheres where the risk of
interference to other devices or services is harmful or perceived as harmful, the option to use a
wireless device may be restricted or eliminated. Request permission before using or turning on
the wireless device.

3. BATTERY CHARGING
Charging time for full charge: About 3 hours (Computer)/ About 2 hours (Adapter)
2 ways of charging according to your convenience
Connect the micro USB end of the cable to the plug of the translator.
Connect the other end either to the USB port of COMPUTER or to the
ADAPTOR jack, which should be plugged to the mains.
A few seconds later (10-15 seconds), the battery icon (Fig.2) displays,
indicating the device is charging and then disappears.
Press POWER button to check the capacity of battery (Fig.3) while
charging.
Note : To preserve your battery, please use the device until the battery discharges totally, and
charge at its maximum capacity during the 5 first times of use.
4. ABOUT YOUR TRANSLATOR
The translator needs a WIFI or a GSM network in order to translate. You can choose among these
3 ways of operation below:
1. WIFI code given by your Internet access provider;
2. WIFI LINE SHARING between your mobile phone and the translator;
3. MICRO SIM CARD –Before turning on the device, it should be slipped
under the metallic element (Fig;4) after opening up the translator.

5. OPERATION
5.1 TURN ON OR OFF/ REBOOT

Press
POWER key
till the device
turns on.
Press and hold
POWER key for
3 seconds.
Select
“POWER OFF”
to turn it off or
“REBOOT” to
turn it on again.
5.2 CONNECTION: WIFI/ LINE SHARING/ SIM CARD
5. 2. 1 WIFI SETTING
After turning on,
tap “SET WIFI”
on touchscreen.
Tap the name of
WIFI network on
the displayed list.
Note: if the WIFI is
OFF, click on
icon to turn on.
Enter your
WIFI code.
For example,
if you want
the letter “a”,
tap “1” and
then “a”
above 1.
Then press
“CONNECT”. The
device will first
save the password
and will be
connected to WiFi.
NOTES:
•If you want to enter the following symbols : , + -, make your finger slide upwards on
touchscreen.
•You could not input more than 30 characters for the password. If it exceeds,
contact your Internet access provider to change it.
•If no button is pressed for about 70-75 seconds, the device goes in standby mode.
Press any button, except volume key, to turn on the screen.
•If you have this icon , the Wi-Fi signal strength is weak, please retry to connect
with your password or go to another room or near the window.

•In case password’s authentication failed, enter again the password or refresh (see
below).
Click on the 3 horizontal
dots, on the far right at the
top, to display the window.
Click on “Refresh”.
Note: You can use this
window to add a network,
display the list of saved
networks or to get advanced
parameters.
Note: In “Advanced”parameters, if you
activate “Network notification”, you
will hear a tone everytime a public
network is available. Disable this
option to turn it off the tone.
5.2.2 WIFI LINE SHARING
1. Turn on the translator.
2. On your mobile, go to “Parameters”, and then to “Line Sharing”. If you have a
password, enter it. Activate the line sharing.
3. On your translator, tap the name of your mobile phone displaying on the screen, for
instance “Iphone”. Enter the password if requested. Tap “connect”.
5.2.3 MICRO SIM CARD
After installing the card and closing the lid, turn on the device.
Enter SIM PIN.
Press to
confirm.
Then repeat
steps 2, 3 and 4
like in 5.2.1: WIFI
SETTING.
5.3 SYSTEM LANGUAGE SETTING
After WIFI
connection, tap
the arrow at the
left of Wi-Fi.
Tap “SETTING” to get
access to system
setting menu.
Swipe up to get
“SET SYSTEM
LANGUAGE” and tap
it. Choose your
system language.

5.4 TRANSLATION LANGUAGE SETTING AND OPERATION
Tap “TEXT”.
At the bottom of the screen, the flag on the right side is the first
language. The flag on left side is the second language.
Tap right flag, the language list displays and choose your first desired
language. Do the same for left flag (second language).
Long press the first language key. After hearing the prompt tone,
enunciate the word or sentence. Release the key to hear the
translation for the second language.
Long press the second language key. After hearing the prompt tone,
enunciate the word or sentence. Release the key to hear the
translation for the first language.
ATTENTION:
•Speak close to microphone.
•To ensure quality of translation and statement integrality, start speaking after the tone.
•Avoid enunciating catchphrases or local slang.
•Speak clearly, coherently, monotonously and in normal speed to ensure the correct
identification of words and translation.
•Do not deliver a hesitant speech with blank spaces between the words otherwise the
translation will not be performed (error message: pb of voice recognition –retry while
following instructions above).
•Tap the enunciated or translated text to listen again.
5.5 MENU SETTING
5.5.1 Getting access
Click on the
arrow next to
Wi-Fi.

Click on
“SETTING” if you
are on the “TEXT”
page.

Click on it to activate the listening of voice translation or deactivate it .

Delete all the words and sentences on “TEXT” page.
VERSION UPDATE
When connected to WIFI, tap “Version update”. If there is a new version, tap “OK” to start
firmware update.
SYSTEM
Set WiFi
To get access to WiFi page. Click on icon to the far right, at the top, to activate it
if it is OFF or deactivate if it is ON.

Drag your finger upward or downward. Choose the language among the list.

15 digit number to identify the device.
6. TROUBLE SHOOTING GUIDE
PROBLEMS
SOLUTIONS
The device cannot power on.
-Long press power key for 10 seconds, then try to
power on again.
-Charge the battery for a while then try to power on
again.
The device cannot charge.
-Check whether the connection of connectors of USB
cable are properly done.
The device cannot to Wi-Fi.
-Make sure to connect Wi-Fi properly and enter the
correct password.

7. SAFE INSTRUCTIONS FOR BATTERY
ATTENTION
•Lithium-ion batteries can easily rupture, ignite, or explode when exposed to high
temperatures, or direct sunlight.
•Do not disassemble or modify the battery. The battery contains safety and
protection devices, which, if damaged, may cause the battery to generate heat,
explode or ignite.
•The battery should not be removed until it is not completely discharged.
•The battery must be removed from the appliance before it is scrapped.
•The appliance must be disconnected from the mains supply when removing the
battery.
•Do not plug the device after removing the battery.
•The battery must be disposed safely.
To get access to the battery, open the lid at the back of the translator. Then remove it.
