Programming Instructions
1. While pressing the button A of your ExcelTek remote, at the same time press
4 times the button B then release both buttons. The LED light on the ExcelTek
remote should emit a quick flash every 2 seconds.
2. Place the original remote next to the ExcelTek remote at about 2-5cm of
distance.
3. Press and hold the original remote button that you want to copy until the LED
light on the ExcelTek remote flashes quickly (This step will probably take you
more than one attempt.)
4. While the Led light flashes quickly, press and hold for 2 seconds the desired
button where you want to store the code you just copied.
5. Locate the learn button on your garage door opener and press it (Do NOT
hold it down).
6. While the LED light on the garage door opener glow steadily, press and hold
for 2 seconds the newly programmed button of your ExcelTek remote. (LED
light on your garage door opener is above the Learn Button).
7. Wait until the LED light on your garage door opener is turned off (could take
up to 30 seconds)
8. Press again the programmed button on your ExcelTek remote.
9. Your remote should be successfully programmed. If you failed at any steps
please start back from the beginning. It could take you more than one try
before it successfully programs.

(Please note in this video, the remote case is different however the steps for
programming remain the same.)

Please be advised this ExcelTek remote (Model RM-10) cannot be
programmed without the original remote and you need to have access
to the Learn button located on the garage door opener.

Troubleshooting Guide
❖My remote is not synchronizing with my garage door opener.
oPlease locate the learn button color on your garage door opener. If the
Learn button is different than Red, Orange, Purple or Yellow it might
not work with your device. (Please note you will need a ladder to
identify what color is your learn button)

❖My remote is not synchronizing with my garage door opener.
oPlease check the voltage of your remote battery because it might be
low. We try to do our best to provide top quality products, but
sometimes low voltage batteries slip through our quality controls. If
you received a defective battery, please contact us so we can solve the
problem.
oYour garage door opener memory has reach maximum capacity. You
will have to erase all previous codes by resetting it. To reset your device
simply hold down the learn button until the LED light goes out
(approximately 8-10 seconds). PLEASE NOTE THAT YOU WILL HAVE TO
REPROGRAM EACH REMOTE CONTROL AND KEYPADS YOU WISH TO
USE ONE BY ONE AFTER RESETTING YOUR DEVICE.

❖Signal range is very weak.
oPlease make sure your garage door opener antenna’s is correctly
hanging under it for better reception. If you’re still experiencing bad
reception, please contact us so we can solve the problem.

HOW TO REPLACE THE BATTERY
❖You will need a micro 50mm philips screwdriver to remove the back panel.
Battery type is 27A 12V
