• Do not place the device in damp, dusty environments or where there are
heavy vibrations.
• Do not place the product where there is a risk of it falling into water or other
types of liquid. Do not place any objects that contain liquid on the product such
as vases, drinks, etc.
• Pull the plug from the wall socket to turn off the product completely. Make sure
that the wall socket which the device is connected to is easily accessible.

4. Connecting to the mains
Connectthemainsleadtoawallsocket.Checkthatthevoltage(V),ontherating
plateonbackofthedevicecorrespondstoyourlocalelectricalnetwork(230VAC,
50Hz).Consultyourretaileroraservicecentreiftherearedifferences.
Tocompletelyshutoffthepower:Pullouttheplugfromthewallsocket.Thedevice
should also be unplugged during heavy thunder storms to protect the stereo.
5. Speakers
ConnectthespeakerstotheSPEAKERSconnections(17)onthebackofthe
device.Connecttherightspeakertotheoutletmarked“R”andtheleftspeakerto
theoutletmarked“L”.

Connectthedevice(notincluded)totheAUXinjack(10).
7. Operation
1. Connecttheplugtothewallsocket.
2. Selectafunction:CD,AUX,AMorFMusingthefunctionselector(1).
3. Adjustthevolumeusingthevolumecontrol(14).
4. TurnoffthestereobyswitchingittotheOFF position.
8. Listening to the radio
1. Selectthebandfrequency(AM/FM)usingthefunctionswitch(1).
2. Setthedesiredfrequencyusingthetunercontrol(6).TheFMStereo(FMST)
indicatorlightwillcomeonwheneveryoundastationwithgood
stereo reception.
3. Adjustthevolumeusingthevolumecontrol(14).

Getting the best reception:
AM: Thestereohasabuilt-inferriteaerialforAMreception.Ifreceptionisweak,
move or rotate the stereo for better reception.
FM:Foldouttheaerialandplaceitvertically.Experimentuntilyoundthe
best position.
9. Listening to a CD
1. OpentheCDcompartmentbypushingtheCDdoordownontheOPEN/CLOSE
marking.AclickwillbeheardandtheCDdoorwillopen.
2. PlaceaCD(AudiodiscorCD-R/CD-RW)withthelabelsideupwardsinthe
CD compartment.
3. OpentheCDcompartmentbypushingtheCDdoordownontheOPEN/CLOSE
marking.AclickbeheardwhentheCDdoorcloses.
4. Select CDusingthefunctionselector.Thedisplaywillbrieyshow“---”.
5. Afteramomentthetotalnumberoftrackswillshowonthedisplay.
6. Press[PLAY/PAUSE](13)tostartplayback.Thersttrackshouldbeginplayback.

9. Proper handling of the CD player and CDs
• The CD player’s lens must not be touched!
• Sudden changes in the surrounding temperature can cause condensation and
thelenstobecomeobstructedwithmoisture.Insuchcasesitisimpossibleto
play a CD.
• Donottrytodryoffthelens.Instead,letthedevicestandinawarmroomuntil
the moisture has evaporated naturally.
• AlwaysclosetheCDdoortokeeptheCDcompartmentdust-free.Useasoft,
dryclothtoremovedustfromtheCDcompartmentwhenneeded.
• IftheCDneedstobecleaneditcanbecleanedwithasoft,lint-freecloth,
wipinginastraightlinefromthemiddleoutwardstowardstheedge.
Do not use cleaning liquids as it can damage the CD.
• Never attach stickers to the CD.
