Preamble
Dear Explo-Customer,
Please read through these instruction carefully, before operating your devices. It contains many
informations that will help you with getting acquainted with your system.
We ask you to take note of the Safety and usage hints made in this document. The use of
Gasprojectors for Shows brings a lot of responsibility with it, since handling and using flame effects
can yield high risks.
If you have any questions that this manual cannot answer, please do not hesitate to contact us by
phone or mail.

2.1 Overview of components
2.2 General
The SFX Torch GX3 is a modification of the Gasprojector GX3 ( Stagetorch). The
SFX Torch GX3 is being handheld by the user, and the effect (Flameburst) is
acti ated manually by use of two buttons. The fuel is taken from two Aerosol-
cartridges (600mL).

3 Short manual
3.1 Switching On an Off
The de ice can be switched on and of by use of the integrated key switch.
3.2 Status isplay uring startup
When switching on the de ice, the green status LED gi es feedback o er the battery
status of the de ice.
Batterystatus-LED (directly after startup)
3x Flashing Battery is fully charged.
2x Flashing Battery is not fully charged, but ready for use.
1x Flashing
Battery is discharged, and must be charged before the device is
being used again.
Batterystatus-LED durin use
Continuous Flashing
Battery is discharged, and must be charged before the device is
being used again.
3.3 Manual ignition of the Flame effect
To pre ent the effect from being triggered by mistake, two ignition buttons ha e been
integrated into the grips.
When you wish to use the effect, both buttons must be pressed at the same time. If
one of the buttons is pressed, the red status LEDs will start flashing. If the second
button is also pressed, the effect will be acti ated.
4 Important Safety functions
Next tot he two buttons needed fort he manual ignition, othe saftey features ha e
been integrated into the de ice.
Ifo ne of the two buttons is being pressed during startup,the red LEDs will start to
flash rapidly, and the de ice will not start correctly. Only if both buttons are not
pressed, the de ice will start.
During use, the red status-LEDs will flash shortly e ery four seconds. This is meant
to remind the user that the de ice is still acti ated.

5 Safety notes
NOTE
The perforated fender of the head of the de ice gets ery hot during
use. Do not touch it after using the de ice.
NOTE
The ignition is made by use of a high oltage spark. Make sure no
bodyparts, clothing articles, or other objects are near the electrodes,
while the de ice is being acti ated.
NOTE
Ne er direct the flame effect towards humans, animals, or objects. The
flame effect can ha e a length of about 2,5m. The safety distances are
to be chosen accordingly.
NOTE
Ne er point the flame effect against the wind direction. Wind can affect
the direction of the flame effect.

Funktionsweise: Die Handfackel GX3 ist eine Modifikation des Gasprojektors
GX3 (Bühnenfackel). Die Handfackel GX3 wird vom Anwender in der Hand
gehalten nd der Effekt (Flammenstoß) mithilfe von zwei Tastern man ell
a sgelöst. Der Brennstoff wird a s zwei Aerosol-Dosen (600mL) entnommen.
Hiermit erklären wir, dass die vorste end besc riebene Masc ine in seiner
Konzeption und Bauart sowie in der von uns in Verke r gebrac ten
Ausfü rung den grundlegenden Sic er eits- und Gesund eitsanforderungen
der EG-Ric tlinien 2006/42/EG und 2004/108/EG entspric t. Bei einer mit uns
nic t abgestimmten Modifikation der Masc ine verliert diese Erklärung i re
Gültigkeit.
