Thermometerdisplays.TheCTH10Aisareal‐timecalendarClock(12/24hour)thatalsodisplays
temperatureandrelativehumiditymeasurementstakenfromitsinternalenvironmentalsensors.
TheclockcanbesetmanuallyorautomaticallyusingtheRC‐WWVBtimesignal.TheCTH10A
includesanaudible/visibledailyalarmfunctionwith‘snooze’mode.
Thisdeviceisshippedfullytestedandcalibratedand,withproperuse,willprovideyearsof

GettingStarted
Opentherearbatterycompartment,insertthree(3)‘C’typebatteriesobservingcorrect
polarityandthencloseandsecurethecompartmentcover.PresstheResetbutton(usingthe
tipofapapercliporpin)inordertoinitializethemeter.
AutomaticTimeSetting
Afterinsertingthebatteriesandresettingtheunitasdescribedabove,theclock
automaticallyscansfortheWWVBtimesignalandtheicon flashesontheLCD.

disappears,

TheclockautomaticallysynchronizeswiththeWWVBradiosignaleverydayat2amto
maintainaccuratetime.Ifsynchronizationwiththesignalfails,thesignalicondisappears;
theclockthenattemptstosynchronizewiththeWWVBsignalat3,4,and5am.
Theclockcanbesettoscanthetimesignalmanuallybyholdingthe button(B4)for3
seconds.Note:Ifamanualscanisattemptedwiththesignaliconshowing,thesignaliconwill
disappearandthemanualscanwillhavetobeattemptedagain.Eachreceptiontakesabout
5minutes.Ifreceptionfails,scanningstopsandthesignalicondisappears;thescanthen
repeatsonthenextfullhour(e.g.ifascanfailedat8:20amascanwillbetriedagainat9am).
Stopscanningbyholding“”button(B4)for3seconds.
Note:ButtonswillnotfunctionwhilescanningfortheWWVBtimesignal.
ManualTimeSetting
Inthetimedisplaymode,holdthe“MODE”button(B2)for3secondstoenterthe
Clock/CalendarsettingMode.
Press“+”(B3)or“‐”(B4)buttontoadjustthesettingandpressthe“MODE”button(B2)to
confirmeachsettingandmovetothenextsetting.
Thesettingsequenceisasfollows:Hour,Minute,Second,Year,Month/Daysequence,
Month,Day,DST.
Notes:
1. Allsettingmodeswillautomaticallyexitafter15secondsofinactivity.
2. Pressandholdtheplusorminusbuttonforfasterscrollingofdigitswhileediting.
3. ForTimeZones:Thedefaultsettingiszone“P”.Hold“+”(B2)buttonfor3secondstochange
toanotherzone“P”“M”“C”or“E”Pacific,Mountain,Central,andEastern.
4. DST:WhentheDSTfunctionisactivated(DaylightSavingMode)“DST”willbeshownonthe
LCD.Set‘DST’asdescribedintheManualTimeSettingsectionabove.

DailyAlarmSetting
Press“MODE”button(B2)toviewtheAlarmTime,“AL”isshownonthedisplay.
WhenviewingtheAlarmTime,hold“MODE”button(B2)for3secondstoenterthe
AlarmTimesettingmode.Press“+”(B3)or“‐”(B4)buttontoadjustthealarmtime.Press
the“MODE”button(B2)toconfirmthesettingandmovetothenextsetting.
Press“ALON/OFF”Button(B6)toactivateordeactivatethealarm.Ifthealarmison,the
alarmicon""appearsonthedisplay.
SnoozeAlarm
Pressthe“SNOOZE”(B1)buttonwhenthealarmtonesounds.Thealarmsnoozesfor
approx.5minutes,afterwhichtimeitalertsagain.“”flashesontheLCDduringthe
snoozetime.Thisprocesscanberepeated7times.
Exceptforthe“SNOOZE”button,anybuttoncanbepressedtostopthesnoozealarm.
Otherwise,thealarmsignalsoundsfor2minutes,thenstopsautomatically.
12/24HourDisplayMode
Pressthe“12/24”(B3)buttontoselectthe12or24hourmode.
ThermometerandRelativeHumidityDisplays
TheCTH10Aincludesinternaltemperatureandrelativehumiditysensors.Temperature
andrelativehumiditymeasurementsaredisplayedonthelowerrightsideoftheclock.
Pressthe“°C/°F”(B4)buttontoselectC:CelsiusorF:Fahrenheitunits.
Ifthetemperatureexceedsthemeasurablerange,LL.L(beyondtheminimum
temperature)orHH.H(beyondthemaximumtemperature)willbeshownontheLCD.
ImportantNotes
Theclocklosestimeinformationwhenthebatteriesareremoved.
DonotexposetheClocktodirectsunlight,extremetemperatures,orhighhumidity
Nevercleanthedeviceusingabrasiveorcorrosivematerialsorproducts.Useadamp
clothtowipethehousingcleanasnecessary.

BatteryReplacement
WhentheClocknolongerdisplaysdigitsandtextpleasereplacethebatteries.Opentherear
batterycompartment,insertthree(3)‘C’typebatteriesobservingcorrectpolarityandthenclose
andsecurethecompartmentcover.PresstheResetbutton(usingthetipofapapercliporpin)
inordertoinitializethemeter.
Neverdisposeofusedbatteriesorrechargeablebatteriesinhouseholdwaste.
Asconsumers,usersarelegallyrequiredtotakeusedbatteriestoappropriatecollectionsites,
theretailstorewherethebatterieswerepurchased,orwhereverbatteriesaresold.
Disposal:Donotdisposeofthisinstrumentinhouseholdwaste.Theuserisobligatedtotakeend‐of‐life
devicestoadesignatedcollectionpointforthedisposalofelectricalandelectronicequipment.
