Operación
ADVERTENCIA: Riesgo de electrocución. Antes de usar, pruebe siempre el detector sobre un circuito vivo conocido para verificarla operación

NOTA sobre interferencia de RF: En el modo voltaje, las señales de RF con proximidad al detectorpueden causarque la luz y el tono de voltaje
se apareen y causen una indicación constante del tono y de la luz. Espere hasta que la señal de RF desaparezca antes de proceder con la
detección de voltaje.
DETECCIÓN DE VOLTAJE
1. Deslice el selector de función a la posición de voltaje.
2. Se iluminará el LED “VOLTAJE”. Si el LED presenta baja intensidad o está apagado, reemplace las baterías.
3. Ajuste la sensibilidad al máximo.
4. Si el detector empieza a zumbar o destellar, disminuya lentamente la sensibilidad hasta
que se detenga el zumbador y los destellos.

un conector de pared..

EXTECH INSTRUMENTS CORPORATION warrants this instrument to be free of defects in parts and workmanship for one year from date of shipment (a six month limited
warranty applies on sensors and cables). If it should become necessary to return the instrument for service during or beyond the warranty period, contact the Customer Service
Department at [phone] ext. 210 for authorization or visit our website at www.extech.com (click on ‘Contact Extech’ and go to ‘Service Department’ to request an RA
number). A Return Authorization (RA) number must be issued before any product is returned to Extech. The sender is responsible for shipping charges, freight, insurance and

Indoor use

Operation
WARNING: Risk of Electrocution. Before use, always test the detector on a known live circuit to verify proper operation
NOTE on RF Interference: In the voltage mode, RF signals in close proximity to the detector may cause the voltage light and beeper to
latch into a constant tone and light indication. Wait until the RF signal has disappeared before proceeding with voltage detection.
VOLTAGE DETECTION
8. Slide the Function switch to the Voltage position.
9. The “VOLTAGE” LED will light. If the LED is dim or does not light, replace the batteries.
10. Set the Sensitivity adjustment to max.
11. If the detector begins to beep/flash, slowly turn the sensitivity down until the beep/flash stops.
12. Touch the detector voltage sensor to the hot conductor or insert into the hot side of the electrical outlet.
13. If AC voltage is present, the detector light will flash and the audible beeper will sound.
14. Adjust the sensitivity as needed to zero-in and identify the live conductor.
CURRENT DETECTION
NOTE: There must be a load on the circuit (current flow) for the current detection function to work.
1. Slide the Function switch to the Current position.
2. The “CURRENT” LED will light. If the LED is dim or does not light, replace the batteries.
3. Set the Sensitivity adjustment to the max position
4. If detector begins to beep/flash,slowly turn the sensitivity down until the beep/flash stops.
5. Move the detector current sensor near the current carrying conductor until the current tip
flashes and beeper sounds.
6. Slowly reduce the sensitivity and reduce the distance between the sensor and conductor to zero-in and identify the conductor.
BATTERY REPLACEMENT
4. Turn power OFF
5. Slide the pocket clip off (as shown) to access batteries.
6. Replace the four LR44 batteries. The negative sides of the batteries face in the same
direction, as shown. The positive sides of the batteries face in the opposite direction.
