TouchtheTOPofthemetertothemicrowavedoorandvariousspotsonthemicrowave
enclosure.
ThedisplaywillindicatetheEMFvaluethatthesensorisreading.Ifthemetersensesareading
outsidethespecifiedrangeoftheinstrumentthe‘OL’(overload)displaysymbolwillappearon
theLCD.
AlarmLimit
Whenthemeasurementis>1mW/cm^2themeter’sbuzzerwillsoundtoalerttheuserthatthe
EMFvalueexceedsthealarmlimit.
PeakHold
TocapturethehighestvalueontheLCDdisplay,momentarilypressthePeakHoldkey.ThePEAK
displayiconwillappearonthedisplayandthemeterwillonlydisplaythehighestreading.
MomentarilypressthePeakHoldkeyagaintoreturntonormaloperation(thePEAKdisplayicon
willswitchOFF).
MicrowaveOvenSafetyStandards
IntheU.S.,pleasecheckwithTheFoodandDrugAdministration(FDA)formicrowaveoven
safetystandardswithregardtoleakagerequirements.ThemicrowaveleakagelimitintheU.S.at

BatteryReplacement
WhenthebatteryiconappearsontheLCDorifthemeterdoesnotswitchON,the9Vbattery
mustbereplaced.
Thebatterycompartmentislocatedontherearoftheinstrument.Openthecompartmentto
replaceorinstallthebatteryandthensecurethecompartmentbeforeswitchingthemeterON.
