Ezcast HDMI Dongle User
Manual---Windows PC
1. Getting started
1.1. Power on
Connect to TV
(1) Connect one end of an HDMI cable to your TV.
(2) Connect the other end of the cable to the HDMI port of
your HDMI Dongle.
Turn on your TV and select the input
Make sure the input setting you have selected on your TV
matches the input to which you have connected the cables
to your TV.
Connect the power adapter
When you turn the power on, HDMI Dongle automatically
boots, then the boot logo appears and after about 40
seconds, the home screen will appear on TV.
The front page of EZCast dongle shows:
1. EZCast SSID: EZCast-xxxxxxxx, password: xxxxxxxx.

2. For Windows/Mac OS users, you can download EZCast
applications from www.iezvu.com/download.
3. For iPhone/iPad users, you can get iOS App through the
QR code or by searching "EZCast" inApple App Store.
4. For Android users, you can get Android App through the
QR code or by searching "EZCast" in Google Play.
Note:
Not all TVs can supply power for your HDMI Dongle, and not
all TVs include a USB host port. In that case, please use the
supplied power adapter and the supplied USB cable to
power on your HDMI dongle.
1.2. Power off
Just direct the power.
1.3. Home screen

SSID&PASSWORD
You can find the SSID and password
on the TV screen for your Android
device to get the link.
System setting
Here you can set the TV Resolution,
passwords, network, system
language or you can upgrade your
version.
1.4. Installation process
First of all, please download EZCast applications from
www.iezvu.com/download. Then, please make sure your PC
has joined the wi-fi which showed its SSID and password in
the home screen on the TV.
After that, please execute EZcast execution file and follow
the installation process. Please restart the computer as
required.
After reboot, you can find EZCast on the desktop and the

application list. Execute it.
2. Main features
2.1. EZCast
After pressing "ON" in EZCast page, you will see several
options for your selection.
Mirror mode directly shows the windows display and the
Extension Mode provides secondary extended display apart
from the main display.
Graphic mode is used for you to display still contents, such
as Powerpoint presentation and web browsing.
Video mode is used for dynamic contents, such as internet
video playing to obtain better frame rates.
Compatible mode is used for Windows 7+ to accelerate
video performance. Audio On/Off is used for turning on and

off the audio transmission.
Windows EZCast provides the Video/Music Streaming
function for users to play video and music to EZCast dongle.
You can select video and music through the windows file
manager.
2.2. DLNA
After pressing “ON” in DLNA page, the EZCast dongle acts
as a DLNA DMR (Digital Media Reader) for DLNA
Applications.
It is noted that once you click “ON” on DLNA page, the
computer will pop up a browser and will automatically
connect to the official website. You can find the DLNA
supported list. Please click any of them and you will get
specific DLNA operating instructions.

2.3. EZMirror
Miracast standard shows the screen onto the display (i.e.
TV). EZCast dongle also integrates Miracast functionality
for the smartphones and tablets supporting Miracast. After
you turn “ON” Miracast, EZCast dongle will wait for your
Miracast connection for 60 seconds. If there is no
connection in 60 seconds, EZCast will set back to normal
wi-fi configuration, that is, AP mode with SSID and
password.
The computer will pop up a browser and will automatically
connect to the official website. It will show the Windows 8.1
support for Miracast, click “Go” and the connection will be
performed.

2.4. About Settings
2.4.1. Upgrade
EZCast program supports on-line upgrade and you can
upgrade your program to the newest version by selecting
Settings>Update.
EZCast program will check and compare the software
version and will upgrade itself if a newer version exists.
2.4.2. Resolution
By EZCast remote control, you can configure the resolution
of EZCast dongle for 1920x1080 24P/30P and 1280x720
60P (default). It is noted that EZCast reboots when the
resolution is changed.

2.4.3. Internet
EZCast Dongle is also a bridge for your PC to access the
internet. You can scan the AP list and you can select one for
your internet access. EZCast App launches the keyboard
once the password is required.
2.4.4. Language
HERE THERE IS THE LANGUAGE SETTING PICTURE
Also, you can select the language you prefer from Language
Settings.
3. Caution
This HDMI Dongle’s design and manufacture has your
safety in mind. In order to safely and effectively use this
HDMI Dongle, please read the following before usage.
3.1. Usage cautions
The user should not modify this HDMI Dongle. If the
commercial hard disk is being used, the environmental

temperature should be within -5 ºC ~ +40 ºC.
3.2. Power
The power voltage of the HDMI Dongle is: DC 5V.
3.3. Radio interference/compatibility
- If they are not properly shielded, almost all the electronic
devices will get radio interference. Under some conditions,
your HDMI Dongle might get interference.
- The design of this HDMI Dongle has followed the FCC/CE
standard, and has met the following rules:
(1) This HDMI Dongle may not cause harmful
interference;
(2) This HDMI Dongle could accept some interference,
including interference that may cause an undesired
operation.
3.4. Repair
If the HDMI Dongle has a problem, you should take it to an
appointed repair centre and let the specialists do the repair.
Never repair the Dongle by yourself, as you might damage
the Dongle.
3.5. Disposing of the HDMI Dongle
When you dispose of the Dongle, be sure to do it
appropriately. Some countries may regulate the disposal of
electrical devices, therefore, please consult with your local
authority.

3.6. Others
Do not let the Dongle come into contact with water or
other liquids.
Do not disassemble the Dongle, do not repair the
Dongle or change the design of the Dongle. Any
damage done will not be included in the repair policy.
Avoid hitting the Dongle with hard objects, avoid
shaking the Dongle, and stay away from magnetic
fields.
During electrostatic discharge and the strong
electromagnetic field, the product will malfunction.
Unplug the power cable to power off the Dongle, and
the Dongle will return to normal performance next time
it is powered on.
The product shall not be exposed to dripping or
splashing, and no objects filled with liquids, such as
vases, shall be placed on the product.
When the mains plug or an appliance coupler is used
as a disconnect device, the disconnect device shall
remain readily operable.
