Operating Steps
Filling the WaxWel® Plus Adjustable Paraffin Bath
1. Remove the lid, plastic safety grate, all plastic and paper wrapping,
parafn, as well as all literature in the unit. The parafn wax beads/pel-
lets or blocks are packaged in 1 lb (.45 kg) bags.
2. Make sure the unit is on a level, at, heat resistant surface.
3. Open and empty contents of 4 bags of parafn wax into the unit (break
blocks if necesssary), add remaining wax when these have melted (see
steps 4-5 to melt).
4. Turn unit on using the green toggle switch located on the front. The on
position is indicated by the illuminating light. Set temperature to 138° to
melt wax at fastest rate.
5. Place and lock the lid on the unit to retain heat. It will take approxi-
mately 10-20 minutes for the wax to begin to melt. The total amount of
time to melt six (6) lb (2.7 kg) of wax is approximately 2 hours.
6. Insert safety grate. This will sink to the bottom of the tank to protect
user from touching the bottom of the tank.
7. Once wax is fully melted, adjust “set temperature” to desired tempera-
ture for use.
8. When actual temperature reads set temperature, unit is ready for use.

Heating System
The heating element of this unit can be set to heat the parafn wax to
between 125°F - 138°F (51.5°C - 58.9°C). When wax reaches the set
temperature, heating unit will turn on and off to keep wax at proper
temperature level. The temperature indicator light will ash when heating
coil is warming wax. The high-heat safety shut off will activate if the
parafn wax temperature reaches 150°F (65.6°C).
Symbols on the Wax Temperature Display Readout:
HEAT - unit is in the initial wax-melt phase - DO NOT USE
HOT - unit is not in initial wax-melt phase, but is greater than 3°F
(1.7°C ) above set temperature - DO NOT USE
E000 - unit overheated - DO NOT USE
E001 - other error - DO NOT USE
For both E000 and E001 errors, turn unit off and unplug for 30 minutes
and try again. If unit still does not turn on replace the two (2) fuses
(F3AL250V). Fuse box is on underside of unit. Turn back on. If error
persists the unit has failed and requires repair.
Unit Displays wax temperature when wax temperature is less than 3°F
(1.7°C ) greater than set wax temperature.
For Hands, Feet and Elbows
To extend heat therapy, after dipping place your hand, foot or
elbow into a plastic liner and cover with terry cloth mitt for 15
minutes.
1. Remove all jewelry, and wash and
dry area to be treated thoroughly.
2. Remove lid from the WaxWel®
Plus Adjustable Parafn Bath unit and
carefully test the temperature of the
wax on the inside of your wrist.
3. Spread your ngers or toes apart
and slowly immerse your hand, foot,
or elbow into parafn wax making sure not to splatter the hot wax.
Then gently remove your hand, foot, or elbow from the heat, and wait
approximately 3 seconds for the parafn to set. 4

4. Re-dip your hand, foot or elbow into the wax using the same technique
as above three or four times. The more layers of wax you create help
insulate the heat therapy.
NOTE: The parafn usually takes 12-15 minutes to completely
harden.
5. After heat therapy is nished, peel the hardened wax from your
hand, foot or elbow. Start from the top and work in a downward motion
removing all the parafn.
6. We recommend that you discard the “shell” of hard wax, as it may
contain cell build up from the skin. DO NOT PUT THE PARAFFIN
RESIDUE BACK INTO THE BATH UNIT.
7. To complete your treatment and maintain softness, apply massage oil
or lotion of your choice to treated area.
Cleaning and Sanitizing Unit
When to clean unit
1. When parafn wax becomes discolored or dry.
2. When there is evidence of build-up of skin or debris on the bottom of
the unit.
How to clean unit
1. Allow the wax to solidify, which could take several hours.
2. Before the wax totally hardens, insert 2 pencils (or sticks) into wax
at opposite ends. Once wax is completely hard, plug in unit and allow
the wax to become slightly warm, loosening around the edges. Use both
pencils to lift the block of wax out of the unit. Turn off, unplug, and let
the unit cool. Wipe out the inside of the tank and dry with cloth or paper
towel.
Sanitize
1. Clean the unit with a disinfectant and wipe dry with cloth or paper
towel. (REMEMBER the unit MUST BE unplugged and cool before
cleaning).
2. DO NOT USE any chlorine or bleach based cleanser.
