- Soltar la cabeza lectora (1) y los tacos de la regla (2).
- Dismount the reader head (1) and the encoder end caps (2).

SW = tamaño de la llave hexagonal / size of the hex wrench
T = tamaño de la llave torx / size of the torque wrench

- Sacar la cabeza lectora de la regla (3).
- Limpiar bien los restos de silicona (4) que quedan tanto en el taco
como en el perfil.
Al limpiar la silicona, tener especial cuidado de que no
entre ningún tipo de suciedad al interior de la regla.
When cleaning the silicone, be especially careful that no
dirt gets inside the encoder.

- Remove the reader head from the encoder (3).
- Carefully clean the silicone residue (4) that remains on both the end
cap and the profile.

- Inspeccionar el estado de la regla (5).
IMPORTANTE ANTES DE SUSTITUIR LA CABEZA:
a. Revisar el estado de los labios de cierre del perfil en toda la longitud
de la regla (L).
a.1. En caso de suciedad se recomienda sacarlas, limpiarlas con
Isopropanol y volver a engrasarlas (puntos 6, 8 y 9 del manual).
a.2. En caso de deterioro se deben de pedir nuevas a Fagor y
cambiarlas (puntos 6, 9 y 10 del manual).
b. Revisar el estado del interior de la regla y en caso de suciedad se
debe de limpiar con Isopropanol y algún papel sin pelusa (punto 7).
- Si no se sustituyen saltar al punto 11.
IMPORTANT BEFORE REPLACING THE HEAD:
a. Inspect the condition of the profile sealing lips along the entire
length of the encoder (L).
a.1. If dirty, it is recommended to remove them, clean them with
isopropyl alcohol and regrease them (points 6, 8 and 9 of the
manual).
a.2. If worn, they must be replaced with new ones ordered from
Fagor (points 6, 9 and 10 of the manual).
b. Inspect the condition of the interior of the encoder and if dirty, clean
with isopropyl alcohol and lint-free paper (point 7).
- If not replacing them, skip to point 11.
- Inspect the condition of the encoder (5).

- Sacar los labios de cierre (6) y limpiar la regla si procede (7).
- Remove the sealing lips (6) and clean the encoder, if necessary (7).
Para poder sustituir los labios de cierre se deben de
desmontar ambos tacos.
To replace the sealing lips, remove both end caps.

- Limpiar los labios de cierre con Isopropanol si se van a reutilizar (8).
- Engrasar los labios (9) y ajustarlos en la regla (10).
- Montar la cabeza lectora (11).

- Clean the sealing lips with isopropyl alcohol if they will be reused (8).
- Grease the lips (9) and fit them into the encoder (10).
- Mounting the reader head (11).
Si se quiere presurizar la regla para lograr una
protección IP64 la cabeza dispone de una
entrada de aire.
The head has an air intake, in case we wish to
pressurize the encoder in order to achieve
IP64 protection.

Presionar el taco contra el

the aluminum profile.
Utilizar una superficie plana para montar
ambas superficies al ras (solo modelo S).
Use a flat surface to mount both surfaces
so that they are level (only model S).
- Aplicar silicona en los tacos (12) y volver a montar los tacos de la regla (13).
- Limpiar bien los restos de silicona.
Pa = par de apriete / tightening torque
- Apply silicone on the end caps (12) and re-mount the encoder end caps (13).
- Carefully clean the silicone residue.

similar. La tapa se sacará con la ayuda
de un tornillo.

tool. The cover will be removed with the
aid of a screw.
